2 Featured Guest Speaker Conference Schedule Hall of Flame Steve Goreham The NPDA is pleased to welcome Mr. Steve Goreham as this year s featured guest speaker. Mr. Goreham is a speaker, an author, a researcher on environmental issues, and an independent columnist. He serves as the Executive Director of the Climate Science Coalition of America, a non-political association of scientists, engineers, and citizens dedicated to informing Americans about the realities of climate science and energy economics. Mr. Goreham is the author of three books, including his latest, Outside the Green Box: Rethinking Sustainable Development. More than 100,000 copies of his book are now in print. Mr. Goreham holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He has more than 30 years of experience in Forture 100 and private companies in engineering and executive roles. Mr. Goreham will present Energy-Miracles and Misconceptions, a celebration of energy and modern society, with conmon sense about hydrocarbons, renewables, sustainability, public policy, and implications for the propane industry. For many years, Keith has been an instrumental contributor to both the NPDA and the Nevada propane industry as a whole. Keith is the Owner/President of PERS (Professional Emergency Resource Services), which provides compliance services to companies that offer or transport hazardous materials nationwide and industry-specific answering service solutions to the energy and transportation industries. Professionally, Keith served as the first out-of-state President of the WPGA and has held numerous positions with the NPGA and other industry organizations, including serving as an industry liaison to DOT with the Cooperative Hazardous Materials Enforcement Development program. Furthermore, Keith has been involved with many aspects of the Nevada and California propane industry, including the EPA s Risk Management Plan, negotiations with California and Nevada on propane tanks and heavy snow conditions, introduction of LNG into Nevada rural markets, PERC safety and training committee, WPGA/Ranger Fire School, WPGA Rollover emergency response training program, and DOT s negotiated rulemaking.
