Without this basic premise, our game cannot survive. PD general information Provincial Day entries must be done directly with Jodi Schultz at or Jodi will also send the invites out. Jodi is also the PD coordinator on the day with his wife Maxine assisting him at the registration table. Jodi and Maxine, many thanks for your time and efforts in running our Provincial Days, including taking of photos. All completed scorecards must be submitted to Jodi on completion of rounds. David Frost or Johan du Plooy will assist Jodi in verifying the scores. Please complete scorecards properly. Ignorance is not an excuse. All players must please remember to open their rounds. All scores must be submitted to the national handicap system on completion of rounds. Any player, having financial difficulties, must feel free to contact Lily with regards to club membership, etc. Although SADGA s budget has been cut back, they ll still do their utmost best to assist where possible. Only players affiliated to SADGA and members at clubs will benefit from the disabled rates at PDs. Nonaffiliated members will pay the same entry fee as that of able bodied players. Full membership is available at Zwartkop CC for only R1,820 (July 2018 June 2019). 2 SA OPEN 2019 Magalies Park All disabled players, that took part in the 2018 SA Open, can play for free (green fees) at Magalies Park from Monday to Friday, every week till the 2019 SA Open, also to be hosted by Magalies Park. Please note that this excludes competition and cart fees. Still to join clubs. A total of 52 players (22 disabled, 9 deaf and 21 abled supporters) took part in the PD at Killarney. Good start for 2019! Thank you to Killarney CC, especially to Karen, Kevin, Barry and the rest of Killarney s staff, for hosting us on a great course. Also many thanks for sponsoring the green fees and some prizes. Special thanks for running the St Vincent School deaf program with Barend Knoetze as coach and also for the 4 memberships for our St Vincent kids. Special thanks to Kevin for donating R15,000 to the First Swing Programme. Although a storm interrupted play, we still managed to complete our rounds. The storm only lasted for a few minutes, but was so intense that we re all soaking wet before reaching the club. Provincial Challenge 2019 The annual Provincial Challenge will take place the weekend of 1 March 2019 at Magalies Park. The respective teams, competing in this event, were selected from the National Rankings dated 1 January Each team consists of 6 players (4 physical disabled, one deaf and one visually impaired). The format will be match play (singles) over 2 days, playing from scratch. The various Order of Merits were not considered in selecting these teams. Only players, that are paidup members at clubs, were considered for the National Rankings. Only players with an amateur status are eligible to represent the various regional teams.
