Hopefully, you have already made your Easter reservations by the time you re reading this newsletter. This is one of the clubs busiest days of the year and we are very excited to offer two seatings at either 11:00am or 1:15pm to enjoy our Executive Chef James Easter Brunch buffet. The Easter Bunny will be here to mingle amongst the members so you don t want to miss out. Our 4 th Annual Master s Tailgate Party on the Green is set for Thursday, April 11 from 5:30pm 8:00pm on the practice green. We ll be showing the replay of that day Masters Tournament round on the TV s along with a bar located on the tailgate trailer. This is a great social event with a fun putting contest that is open to all members and their guests. If you bring a guest then it s complimentary to attend. We will offer some Masters Style food (similar to what the Masters Tournament serves during the tournament). For reservations, please contact the club Receptionist by Wednesday, April 4th. On Friday, April 12 th, we are hosting the 2 nd Annual Young Executive One Day Member Guest Tournament. This event is open for all of our Young Executive Members, which is a great opportunity to showcase your club to your fellow Young Executive friends that might be interested in joining Mira Vista Country Club. We have a special day planned along with a fun social evening for the spouses to enjoy as well. Please sign up in the Golf Shop! Golf Course Maintenance Howdy Folks! March was a great and busy month.

April is going to be great month also with great golfing conditions and a few more projects.

If you haven t had a chance to check out the new landscaping at the front of clubhouse you need too.

11 Golf Course Maintenance Howdy Folks! March was a great and busy month. We had the 20th Kathy Whitworth Invitational, the Kickoff Classic, the renovation of the creek on #18 and the redo of the front clubhouse color bed. April is going to be great month also with great golfing conditions and a few more projects. Mike Epps Golf Course Superintendent Spring color has been planted in at the front of the clubhouse and tennis center. We will be starting on the course next. If you haven t had a chance to check out the new landscaping at the front of clubhouse you need too. The new fountains, LED lighting, fresh plant material, rock and granite gravel has a more open and brighter look. The creek on #18 renovation has received a lot of great comments, thank you. We will still be working on a couple more spots on the creek to keep improving the overall effect and experience as you play With the recent warmer weather and the green up of the course, we have been lightly verti-cutting the greens so your putts will roll true to the hole. Our first aeration of the year will be on April 29 and will be a small hole aeration. During April we will also start working on the drainage for the East end practice tee. We are replacing the original drainage pipe for the teeing area which has collapsed and just doesn t work very well after 32 years. We will be replacing the main trunk line and lateral drain lines under the teeing area. The plan is to try to do the work in a way that does not interrupt your use of the practice range. There may be a day or two that the east end tee will need to be closed, but the use of the chipping area and west end will not be affected. As always, I hope to see you out on the golf course soon, and my goal is to have the golf course in the best condition possible every day for your enjoyment.
