Check out the club s website to view some pictures from our Annual BASH Greg Hatch event. We appreciate all the Members who participated General Manager along with our sponsors. Congratulations goes out to Gary & Nancy Miller for winning the trip to the Masters in Their name was drawn from 101 Member Sponsors who have sponsored a new Member since last year s BASH event. We appreciate all of our sponsors for helping us achieve our goals in growing our membership. The Membership Committee has enhanced the drawing for 2018 by adding additional drawings to reward more sponsors. On top of having the chance to attend the Masters or US Tennis Open, we will have eight separate drawings to include $4,000 in club usage credit certificates. Congratulations to our 2017 Men s Club Golf Champion Mr. Andrew Hudson along with our new Club Golf Net Champion Mr. Sam Demel! The men s club championship was a huge success as the participation was up and the kudos regarding the event itself was outstanding. Over the past 14 years, I am proud to say that the fundraiser has raised $1.86M for various children s charities in the area thanks in part to people like you. This year, we will be conducting our fundraiser here at the club on Tuesday, September 5. Your donation will benefit the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation s Growth of the Game initiatives and also Cook Children s Hospital. Please know that your consideration of support enables the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation to continue our mission of growing the game of golf and introducing it to a wide range of kids in North Texas while instilling in them the positive, character developing traits for which our great game is so well known. This year, the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation has over 4,000 members (many from our club), will conduct over 400 grass roots tournaments and awarded $265, in scholarships, all of which are record breaking numbers. 7 Ariana Hernandez is the new Director of Kid s Club. She studied Elementary Education and graduated with a Recreational Management Bachelor s Degree from Bacone College; where she was also a part of the Bacone Women s soccer team. She has been working with children for four years in the child care setting. Ariana has a passion for teaching children and hopes to become a teacher one day. Her favorite part about her job is interacting with children of all ages, helping them learn, and watching them grow. She is excited to be at the Kid's Club and eager to meet all the children and families.

Chris has worked at Mira Vista for a year now, gaining experience working with the grounds crew while he was finishing his degree. He s been in the industry for over 4 years and previously worked for Clubcorp. He was raised in Mansfield, TX and just graduated from Texas State Technical College where he received a degree in Turfgrass and Landscape Management. A few favorites: Chris loves him some spaghetti, he said it's his weakness! He also loves baseball, hunting, fishing, and vacationing in Charleston, SC. Christopher really enjoys being part of a team that influences the golf course conditions. He loves the course layout and is excited to get to work side by side with such great coworkers!
