3 GOLF CUP TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 2018 Letter from Committee Chairman On behalf of the Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities and Scholarships (VAMOS) Board of Directors, we would like to invite you to the VAMOS 22nd Annual Golf Cup Tournament, Presented by Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System. Join us for a full day of golf, fundraising and fun on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Palm View Golf Course in McAllen, TX! VAMOS is a 501 (3) non-profit that is dedicated to making the dream of a college education a reality for graduating high school seniors of the Rio Grande Valley. We achieve this by awarding fouryear renewable scholarships to college-bound youth, thereby increasing the number of students prepared for, enrolled in and completing a post-secondary education debt free. Since 1996, VAMOS has awarded over $10 Million in four-year renewable scholarships to 700 students in Hidalgo, Cameron and Starr Counties. Our VAMOS Scholars attend universities across the nation and graduate with degree in various fields of study. Our program is unique because it provides mentoring to its students; a vital component to student success. VAMOS encourages you to be part of our organization as a member, sponsor, mentor, or advocate to promote early college awareness. In addition, VAMOS offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities to assist us in reaching our goal of raising $1 Million.
