This is the second of three regular season matchups between the two teams in The Cavs defeated the Sixers at Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 5, when they scored 40 fast break points, their most since the NBA began tracking the stat in (Elias) Dating back to Nov. 9, 2013, the Cavs are 10-1 in their matchups with the 76ers and have won each of the last seven games. Overall, the Cavaliers are an Eastern Conference-best 12-2 on the season, which is their best 14-game start in team history. In Friday s win over Dallas, Cleveland shot over 50% from the field (.506), 40% from the three-point line (.465) and 90% from the foul line (.917). It s just the fourth time since the season the Cavs have had a game (4/5/16 vs. MIL, 3/13/07 vs. SAC, 12/11/01 vs. HOU). UPCOMING MILESTONES: LeBron James (6,938) is 18 assists away from passing Bob Cousy (6,955) for 16 th all-time in NBA history. James has also hit 999 three-pointers as a member of the Wine and Gold and can become the first Cavs player to knock down 1,000 treys. J.R. Smith (1,709) is 11 threes away from passing Dale Ellis (1,719) for 14 th all-time in NBA history. Kyrie Irving (2,468) is 13 field goals away from passing Campy Russell (2,480) for 9 th place in Cavs history. Kevin Love (335) can pass Damon Jones (344) and crack the franchise Top 10 in three-point field goals. The Cavs have scored at least 128 points in consecutive games for the second time this season (Nov. 1-3 and Nov ). Prior to this season, Cleveland has never had consecutive games with at least 128 points. The Cavs are averaging points per game in (2 nd -best in NBA). The Cavs became the FIRST TEAM IN NBA HISTORY TO HAVE BACK-TO-BACK REGULAR SEASON CONTESTS WITH 20 THREE-POINTERS OR MORE after knocking down a franchise record 21 threes against Portland on Wednesday and 20 versus Dallas on Friday. Cleveland is also the only team to accomplish this feat in the playoffs as well (2016 Semifinals versus Atlanta: 25 3FGM in Game 2 and 21 3FGM in Game 3). The Cavs have hit at least 10 three-pointers in all 14 games, extending their NBA record for consecutive games with 10 or more made threes to start a season. They also rank 1 st in threes made per game (13.9) and 3FG% (.400). At Philadelphia on Nov. 5, the Cavs hit 14 three-pointers. Kevin Love, who has had a double-double in 8 of the last 9 games, also notched a double-double in the first meeting with Philadelphia with 20 points and 11 rebounds in 38 minutes. Over the last 9 games, Love is shooting.462 (24-52) from deep and averaging 22.2 points and 12.2 boards. LeBron James played in his 1,000 th career regular season game on Friday s win against Dallas, notching his 8 th double-double of the season (19 points and 11 assists). In doing so, James increased his career totals to 27,138 points, 7,174 rebounds and 6,938 assists. The only other player who produced minimums of 25,000 points, 7,000 rebounds and 6,500 assists to that point of his NBA career was Oscar Robertson (26,272 pts, 7,668 rebounds and 9,649 assists). In the first meeting at Philadelphia, James tallied 25 points, 14 assists, eight rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes. Since the 2016 NBA Playoffs, Kyrie Irving has scored at least 20 points in 30 of Cleveland s 35 games, including in 12 of 14 games in In Friday s win over Dallas, Irving made his first 10 field goal attempts en route to 25 points in 28 minutes.
