The Cavs are playing the first night of a back-to-back before returning to The Q tomorrow night to take on the New York Knicks. Cleveland is alltime against the Bobcats, including 6-3 over the last nine games. The Cavs are 8-5 over the last 13 games, which includes a 4-2 mark on the road. Over the last 13 games, Cleveland is holding opponents to.434 shooting from the field. In two games this season versus Charlotte, the Cavs have held the Bobcats to 90 points or less in both contests (88.0) on a combined.425 shooting from the field (65-153). Cleveland s defense has allowed less than 100 points in nine of their last 12 games overall. Coming into tonight s contest, Kyrie Irving has scored at least 20 points in 18 of the last 24 games, including each of the last five. Over the last five games, he is averaging 25.8 points on.495 (46-93) shooting, a.962 (25-26) mark from the foul line, 4.8 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.2 steals in 41.4 minutes per game. Irving recorded a game-high tying 24 points, including 3-6 (.500) from the three-point line, four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 39 minutes against San Antonio on Tuesday. Spencer Hawes hit double figures in scoring for the 6 th straight game after he posted his 22 nd double-double of the season (third with Cavs) with 20 points on 7-9 (.778) shooting, including 3-4 (.750) from the three-point line, a game-high 13 rebounds and one block in 33 minutes against San Antonito. In his seven games as a member of the Cavs, Hawes is averaging 14.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks in 32.3 minutes per contest. He is also shooting.536 (15-28) from the three-point line since being acquired by Cleveland on Feb. 20. He has connected on at least three triples in four of the last five games ( FG over that stretch). Tristan Thompson has registered a double-double in seven of the last 11 games, averaging 14.4 points on.573 (63-110) shooting and 11.4 rebounds in 32.2 minutes per game over that stretch. On the season, he has a team-leading 29 double-doubles, which is tied for 3 rd -most in the Eastern Conference. Thompson has recorded in a double-double in each of the two contests versus the Bobcats this season, averaging 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in 37.5 minutes per game. Dion Waiters returned to action on Tuesday against San Antonio and finished with a game-high tying 24 points on (.611) shooting, including 2-3 (.667) from the three-point line, three assists and one block in 23 minutes off the bench. Waiters has scored 20-plus points as a reserve 13 times this season. He is the highest scoring reserve in the East averaging 14.8 points per game off the bench (3 rd in NBA). On the season, Cleveland ranks 3 rd in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game at On the offensive glass, Tristan Thompson is pulling down a team-best 3.5 offensive rebounds, the 6 th -most in the league (3 rd in East). As the Cavs host the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m., the night will celebrate and honor the 7-foot-3 inch Lithuanian center who was drafted by the Cavaliers in the first-round of the 1996 draft and went on to play 12 seasons for the Wine & Gold. Fans are encouraged to get to their seats early to see the one-time-only player introduction video specially produced for the occasion. Through a unique editing process, the video will bring together yesterday and today's Cavaliers in the first of many notto-miss moments during the evening. The Q s doors will open at 5:30 p.m., two hours prior to tipoff. In a spectacular presentation of techno-artistry, the halftime ceremony will be one of the most memorable player tributes to ever take place at The Q as Z's legendary career is captured in vivid 3-D video imagery projected on the Cavs basketball court. Then, watching with his family by his side, and in presence of fans and special guests that span his career, Zydrunas Ilgauskas'#11 will take its place next to Austin Carr, Nate Thurmond, Bobby "Bingo" Smith, Larry Nance, Brad Daugherty, Mark Price and the former "Voice of the Cavs," Joe Tait.
