He averaged 2.6 points per game, 1.1 rebounds per game and dished out five assists with five steals on the season. Shot 38.8 percent (31-of-80) from the field. Averaged 6.7 points per game and shot 10-of-19 from the field in the season s first three games. In the season s second game of the year against Siena, Alexander buried a 19-footer with 20 seconds left to send the game into overtime, capping off a Navy rally after it trailed by six points in the final minute. Scored six points six other times throughout the season (Tulane, Bryant, Albany, American, Lafayette, Bucknell). Missed two games with an injury (Lehigh, Bucknell) during Patriot League play. Had perhaps his best game of the season in the second meeting against Lafayette, tallying six points with four rebounds and a blocked shot in just 14 minutes of action. In nine games that he played more than 10 minutes, Alexander averaged 5.2 points per game and shot 22-of-48 (.458) from the field. In 18 games that he played less than 10 minutes, Alexander averaged 1.3 points per game and shot just 9-of-32 (.281) from the field. Alexander had an outstanding career, lettering four times at Radford before graduating in Led the Radford basketball team to the 2011 (senior) and 2009 (sophomore) state championships. Team also won four district championships (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). While at Radford, he served as a two-time team captain, was the 2011 state title game MVP and was an all-district performer as a senior after being a second-team selection as a junior. As a senior at Radford in the district finals with the game tied at 60, Alexander scored 11 straight points, grabbed every defensive rebound and blocked two shots in the final 2:20 that helped seal the victory, finishing with 23 points and 17 rebounds against EastMont. Spent the 2012 season at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa. Averaged 12.3 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game at The Hill School, including a dominating 20-point, 12-rebound performance against the Navy JV team. He finished fifth on the team in scoring (4.0 ppg) and third in three-pointers made (29) despite ranking ninth on the team in minutes. Was named the recipient of the Kevin Sinnett Academic Achievement Award and the Rear Admiral Marryott Award at the team banquet. Was also named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll after recording a 3.81 GPA during the spring championship season. After averaging just 1.6 points per game and shooting 4-of-14 (.286) from long distance in his first 11 appearances, Alter averaged 5.6 points per game and went 25- of-71 (.352) from three-point range in his last 16 games. Broke out in a big way by scoring a career-high 18 points on six three-pointers with a career-high three assists in just 10 minutes against Norfolk State. Nearly led Navy back from a 26-point halftime deficit, cutting the lead to five points with 10 seconds left before falling by six. Also added 14 points (4-of-5 three-pointers) and drew three big charges in the second half of a win over Army on the road. Scored 15 points in a road loss at Patriot League champion Bucknell and averaged 4.9 points per game in league contests. Had at least one three-pointer in 15 games this year and shot 81.0 percent from the free throw line (17-of-21), the second-best percentage on the team : Freshman Alter appeared in 16 games with one start, coming in the season opener against Longwood, becoming just the third freshman to start at point guard in a season opener, joining Corey Johnson ( ) and Bruce Grooms ( ). Averaged 1.1 ppg, 0.6 rpg and 0.4 apg for the season with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.00 (6-to-6) for the season. Was named first-team all-conference and all-state and set the school record for most career three-pointers made. Played best in the clutch, making several big shots and plays at key moments late in the game during R-FH s postseason run, including a three-pointer with a minute left and his team up one in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. In the conference tournament final, Alter scored 24 of his team s 35 points. Shot 79 percent from the free throw line on 130 attempts and made a school-record 62 three-pointers during the season. In league games, Dunbar averaged just 8.2 points per game and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 31.4 percent. Did record a stellar 1.81 (152:84) assist-to-turnover ratio for the season, including a 2.10 (65:31) ratio in league games. Had nine games of at least six assists during the course of the year. In the last 11 games of the year, Dunbar had 46 assists against 19 turnovers (2.42 ratio) and had just one game of more than three turnovers (4 vs. Lehigh) during that span. However, in Patriot League games, Kelly averaged 3.6 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game in 21.5 minutes per game.
