1 GAME Colgate vs. Quinnipiac Mon., December 5 Burt Kahn Court, Hamden, Conn. 7:00 p.m. Colgate Travels To Quinnipiac Monday Night GAME DAY The Colgate Raiders (4-3) will carry a two-game winning streak into its first-ever game against Quinnipiac College (3-2) Monday night at the Burt Kahn Court in Hamden, Conn. RADIO COVERAGE The game will be carried live on radio by WKXZ (94 FM & 99.3 FM). Eric Malanoski will call the play-by-play. Link to TeamLine from the Colgate athletic website: SCOUTING COLGATE In its last two games, the Raiders have defeated a pair of Ivy League opponents winning over Dartmouth, 65-64, in double overtime, and ripping Princeton Colgate will be looking for its first road win of the season in three outings, while the Raiders do have a neutral site victory over Utah Valley State in the Guardians Classic. The Raiders have a pair of players scoring in double figures paced by sophomore Kyle Roemer, who is averaging 14.7 points per game. Also in double figures is sophomore Kendall Chones with 11.4 points per game. Following him in the scoring column is junior Jon Simon (9.9 ppg) and senior Alvin Reed (9.0 ppg). Kyle Chones leads the club in rebounding with 8.2 caroms per outing, while Reomer is grabbing 4.3 rpg and Kendall Chones 3.8 rpg. Colgate is averaging 59.9 points per game, while giving up SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC The Bobcats are 3-2 after defeating Cornell in their last outing. They opened the season with an overtime loss against Troy (94-83), before winning over New Hampshire (64-62) and Concordia (106-57). QC then suffered a setback against Fairleigh Dickinson. 3 Sophomore forward Kyle Roemer is 14th all-time in 3-pointers made with 72. LAST OUTING Senior guard Alvin Reed tallied a game-high 16 points, and sophomore forward Kyle Chones added 11 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to lead Colgate to a win over Princeton. The Raiders snapped a three-game losing streak to the Tigers dating back to the season, when Colgate defeated Princeton, In Princeton s last two games on the Cotterell hardwood they have scored just 63 points. Defensively, this was the first time that Colgate has held an opponent under 40 points since the season when they lost to Vermont, Kyle Roemer had nine points and five rebounds for the Raiders, while sopohomore Peter Minchella tallied a career-high six points. Noah Savage was Princeton s leading scorer with 13 points, while Patrick Ekeruo added nine and Geoff Kestler tallied eight points. With the score tied at 6-6, the Raiders put nine straight points on the board for a nine-point advantage. Roemer started the run with a 3-pointer, before Minchella added a layup and Jon Foss a free throw. Kyle Chones finished the run with a 3-pointer. Colgate extended its lead to 10 points at halftime, In the second half, Colgate scored the first five points on Kendall Chones layup and Roemer s 3-pointer for a 15-point lead, The Tigers managed to cut the deficit to eight points, 37-29, with 8:57 remaining but that was as close as they would come to the Raiders.
