The senior from Bay Springs, Miss., is averaging 10.1 points per game and has reached double figures in each of the last four games and in six games this season. Reed s four consecutive games in double figures is a team-best. Reed has increased her scoring output by nearly 3.6 points per game entering the Louisville contest from the start of the season. Vanderbilt Bench Brings the Heat The Vanderbilt bench has been vital this season. In the last two contests, the Commodore reserves have outscored their counterparts, including a 24-7 advantage against Iowa State. On the season, the Vanderbilt bench has outscored its opponents, , and have only been outscored on two occasions in losses to Syracuse and Middle Tennessee. On average, the Commodore bench is averaging 24.0 points per game. Commodore Rookies Rank Among SEC s Best Vanderbilt freshmen Chelsie Hall and Autumn Newby are playing quite well and rank among the best freshmen in the SEC. Hall s averaging 13.0 points per game and is the second-best scoring freshman trailing A&M s Chennedy Carter who is averaging 19.0 points per game. Hall s also one of seven freshman averaging double figures. Newby is ranked third among SEC freshman in rebounding with 7.9 rebounds per game. Walker Goes Yard Sophomore Cierra Walker was feeling the long ball against Iowa State and knocked down a career-best four three-pointers. It was Walker s second consecutive game with multiple threepointers and her fifth game this season. Her 14 points also marked her fourth game in double figures this season. And Gets on the Glass Not only was Walker on fire from long range, but she also grabbed a career-best eight rebounds. Walker has stepped her glass game up since the Paradise Jam, averaging 4.0 rebounds per game compared to just 1.5 before the Paradise Jam. Overbeck Rounding into Form 2017 SEC All-Freshman selection Kayla Overbeck has had a slow start to her sophomore campaign but she seems to be rounding into form as of late. After averaging 9.5 ppg in the first two contests of the season, she hadn t scored more than three points until picking up 10 points against Syracuse. She s reached double figures in three of the last four contests and is averaging 9.0 ppg in that span. Prior to the Paradise Jam, Overbeck was averaging just 4.8 ppg. Hall Getting Comfortable Freshman Chelsie Hall has been a staple in the Vanderbilt starting lineup this season. The Seffner, Fla, native is averaging 13.0 ppg as Vanderbilt s second leading scorer. She s reached double figures in five of the last six games, including each of the last three games, and posted a career-best 25 points against Ball State. Hall is averaging 15.0 ppg over the last three games. During the four games before the Paradise Jam, Hall was averaging 11.8 ppg but has settled in and since the Paradise Jam is averaging ppg. Bell Shows Out Against Syracuse In Paradise Jam Senior Rachel Bell was on fire against Syracuse in the second game of the Paradise Jam. The Tennessee native tied her career best with 31 points against the Cuse and went 7-of-10 from long range to set a new career best and tie the Paradise Jam single-game three-point record. Bell s 31 points are the most points and individual scored in a single game over the three-day tournament. Bell averaged 18.0 points per game at the Paradise Jam. Bell Shoots Her Way into Vanderbilt Record Books Bell s seven triples against Syracuse will earn her a spot in the Vanderbilt record books as her seven long-range bombs tie her for the second-most triples in a single-game. She joins Christina Foggie, Caroline Williams, Jillian Danker and Julie Powell as Dores to hit seven in a game. The senior was just one away from tying the program record and two away from holding the top spot by herself. For her career, Bell is shooting.369 percent from long range. Dores Were Road Strong in November In the first month of the season, Vanderbilt has played six of its eight games on the road in a true or neutral site fashion. Vanderbilt sports a 2-4 road record to date. Through the first month of the season the Commodores traveled 2,115.3 miles for six road games. Vanderbilt is looking to right its road woes this season. Last season, the Commodores posted a 3-10 record away from Nashville and were 0-8 on the road in the SEC. Vanderbilt already has two road wins in the bag this season with wins at George Washington and at Saint Louis.

Vanderbilt joins SEC counterparts LSU and Missouri as teams who will have only played two home games through the first month of the season. The schedule will flip in December as the Commodores will be home five times in December including a stretch of four straight games. The only time the Dores will hit the road will be to travel to No. 4 Louisville on Dec. 7 and to open the SEC slate at LSU on Dec. 31. Road Wins for the Road Warriors The Commodores picked up their second road win of the season at Saint Louis on Nov. 29. Two of Vanderbilt s three wins have come on the road this season and put the Commodores one road win away from tying last year s road win total just a month into the season. 32 HOME SWEET HOME Memorial Gymnasium, the Southeastern Conference s most historic venue for college basketball, serves as the home court for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Dedicated in 1952 as a memorial to all Vanderbilt men and women who served in World War II, the arena was built as a combination gymnasium and concert hall by the late master architect Edwin Keeble. Six decades later, the unique style of Memorial Gym with its benches on the baselines, a playing court that sits above portions of the crowd and deafening acoustics continues to make the Commodores home a dreaded stop for opponents. Memorial Magic, with its capacity crowds, overflowing student section and lively pep band, have assisted in numerous Commodore victories. In the stands, fans across Middle Tennessee have helped Memorial Gymnasium rank among the NCAA s Top 30 attendance leaders on numerous occassions. On the floor, Vanderbilt has compiled a record at home, and has only had one losing season at Memorial Gym ( ). When the season tipped off, Memorial Gym featured a new video board, installed during the summer of The display, manufactured by Utah s Young Electric Sign Company, features four screens that measure 16 feet by nine feet and includes a two-foot tall LED display that wraps around the bottom of the board. Before the season, Vanderbilt s locker rooms, the video room, the training room and media room were renovated and are now state-of-the-art. The floor was also replaced before the season. During the season, the building received new championship banners. In 2002, a $25 million renovation of Memorial Gymnasium was completed. Connected to the facility sits a practice gym that includes three cross-court playing floors, coaching offices, a donor room and a Hall of Champions. Other aspects of the renovation included upgrades of the seating areas, private suites, a new lighting and sound system and a new court design. In all, Memorial Gym has been expanded three times. Constructed with a seating capacity of 6,583, the University saw its first need to increase seating in 1965 with the addition of two north-side balconies. Two years later, a pair of balancing balconies were erected on the south side of the gym and dubbed The Balconies That Clyde Lee Built. Capacity has fluctuated throughout the history of the building. It reached its highest number of 15,646 in 1969 when 4,000 seats were added in the east and west ends. When chairback seats in the end zones and suites on the north side were installed in the late 1990s capacity lowered to 14,168. Shortly thereafter, university officials removed portions of media press row on the south side in an effort to expand the student section by nearly 150 seats. Official capacity is now 14,326.
