Important Updates Capitals Office Closures The Capitals office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thur Nov. 24 and Fri Nov. 25. If you need assistance on Friday for that night s game, please contact Capitals Guest Services at between 12 and 2pm, or visit the planholder windows 8 & 9 at the Verizon Center box office starting at 2pm. I don't remember the energy ever being any higher in that building then for those final minutes of the game. Why should you be the First Star of the Week: I have been a Caps fan since I was a 6 years old and went to my 1st game. I used to get my stick and puck out and play along with the team while watching at home on HTS. I still have my ticket stub from the 1st Caps game played at the MCI/Verizon Center. In my 5 years as a season ticket holder I can count on 1 hand the number of home games I have not attended. As a season ticket holder, you have a unique opportunity to get your kids (or other kids in your family) into the spirit by having them design the cover for our official Capitals Holiday E-card! The winner will receive a jersey signed by the entire Capitals team and will also have their artwork featured on the cover of the holiday card to be sent out via , shown on the videoboard at Verizon Center, and displayed on WashingtonCaps.com. The contest is open to kids of all ages! Scans or pictures of the drawings must be submitted via this form, dropped off at the Capitals office at Kettler Capitals Iceplex (627 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, Va., drop-off hours are 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon-Fri except holidays), or dropped off at the Kids Club Table by section 109 at any Washington Capitals home game by 5 p.m. on Dec. 5, For each entry please include the child s first name, age and city. Caps Care Canned Food Drive The Washington Capitals, Volkswagen, Comcast SportsNet, Mix and the Capital Area Food Bank are teaming up to host a canned food drive at the Caps game Wednesday, Nov. 23, against the Winnipeg Jets. The Capitals players wives and girlfriends will be accepting donations at the F Street Entrance to Verizon Center starting when doors open at 6 p.m. The first 2,000 fans to donate will receive a John Carlson poster.
