The Hornets will then return home on 10/19 to face defending USC Regular Season Champion Longwood in their final home contest of the 2008 season. DSU is 0-3 alltime against the Highlanders and 1-1 against the Lancers. Looking Back In 2007, The Hornets fell to Longwood, 1-0. Goalkeeper Casey Murphy tallied 10 saves in the game. In 2006, the Hornets fell 3-1 to NJIT. Head Coach Nitan Soni DSU Head Coach Nitan Soni is in his first season with the Hornets. He registered his first win on 9/14 against Concordia and helped the Hornets register their first three-game unbeaten streak in school history. He also led DSU to a double overtime win against St. Peter s. He is , 0-2, this season with DSU. The 2008 Hornets During the 2007 season, Soni served as an assistant coach for Temple University s men s soccer team. From August, 2005 to May, 2007, Soni was an Assistant Men s Soccer Coach at Wesley College in Dover, Del. During the 2006 season, he helped lead the Wolverines to a overall record. That season, Wesley earned its first ever top five regional ranking and was in the Junior Danielle Miller leads the team with three goals and seven points. Goalkeeper Courtney Haas has played all every minute so far and has posted a 3.00 GAA. She has 101 saves in the 12 contests. In 2003, DSU lost to NJIT 5-1. Last season, Delaware State battled to a 1-1 tie against Wilmington. In that game, Danielle Miller scored the loan goal. The Hornets have never played on 10/19 before. Hitting the Century Mark Haas is now only 20 saves away from 200 for her career.
