1 New Jersey Spartans Field Hockey Club Outdoor 2017 Season We invite you to come and experience Spartans Field Hockey Club. Our exceptional coaching staff will provide you with the opportunity to develop and refine your fundamental and advanced skills. Our club provides the same level of coaching, instruction, and skill development for beginners who are experiencing field hockey for the first time, athletes who desire year round training, and athletes who would like to be part of a competitive travel team. We also welcome middle and high school boys to join our club. Age groups: U 14, U 16 and U 19 Location: Ridge High School, 268 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ Dates: Sundays: 9:00-11:30 am April 2- June 11th Ridge High School June 18th, June 25th- Location TBC Tuesday: 6:00pm- 8:00pm 6/27, - Location TBC Pingry School: Sundays: 9:00-11:30 am 7/9, 7/16, 7/23 Tuesdays: 6:00-8:00 pm 7/11, 7/18, 7/25 No Practice Due to Holiday: April 16th (Easter Sunday) May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend) July 2 nd July 5th

2 Mission Statement: New Jersey Spartans Field Hockey Club mission is to develop, teach and refine fundamental and advanced field hockey skills and to increase tactical awareness of the game for all players. Our extraordinary coaches focus on the individualized skill development of each player regardless of their level of play, as well as educate each athlete on the physical and mental aspects of the game. One of our main objectives is for each of our athletes to gain confidence in themselves as players, and to develop and maintain enjoyment for the game. Our coaching staff has a proven track record for player development and positioning our athletes for success at the collegiate level. Our coaches are passionate, energetic and enjoy teaching the game and passing on their love of the game. Our staff is comprised of coaches that have excelled at field hockey and have competed locally and at international tournaments. Assisting our core coaching staff are coaches that have had successful collegiate careers. COACHING STAFF: Coach and Co-Club Director: Marc Waldron Coaching Experience: Head Coach Spirit Eagles indoor NIT Gold Medals at U 16 and U 19 levels Gold Medal at USFHA Hockey Festival Gold Medal at Disney Showcase Consecutive Gold Medals at Big Apple U 19 tournaments Women Alumni and Mixed Team won consecutive Gold Medals at Haddies Cup Playing Career: Played for Tristate Field Hockey club which won 5 league championships Played in US Olympic Festival in 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993 Represented US in Inaugural Pan Club Championship in Kingston, Jamaica Played on Tristate Field Hockey Club team which won the John F. Kennedy International Memorial Tournament Coach and Co-Club Director: Kesley "Fuzzy' Stephenson Coaching Experience: Head Coach Spirit Eagles U 19 Teams qualified for 4 consecutive NIT tournaments Major contributor to success of teams that won Gold Medals at Disney Showcase and Hockey Festival Head Coach Tristate Field Hockey Club which won NEFHA Club championship and John F. Kennedy International Memorial Tournament Playing Career: Played for Tristate Field Hockey club which won 5 league championships Represented US in Inaugural Pan Club Championship in Kingston, Jamaica Played on Tristate Field Hockey Club team which won the John F.
