This is a BTF sanctined event and is prmted by PMA Racing and is part f the 2017 East Midlands Reginal Series (Rund 5). Please take the time t carefully study the pre-race infrmatin t ensure yu have a smth and enjyable day. Start times The event will start at 1:00pm with the TriStart s, fllwed by the TriStar 2, Yuth, TriStar 1 and finally TriStar 3. The Age Grup start times are listed belw and yu will be given a designated start time, which we will aim t adhere t s please arrive n the pl side at least 10 minutes befre yur designated start time. Tristart 1:00pm (50M Swim/1K Bike/600M Run) Tristar 1 1:20pm (150M Swim/2K Bike/1.2K Run) Tristar 2-2:15pm (200M Swim/4K Bike/1.8K Run) Tristar 3 3:20pm (300M Swim/6K Bike/2.4K Run) Yuth 4.15pm (400M Swim/8K Bike/3K Run) Venue The event will be based at Fremarke Hall Schl in Miltn, Suth Derbyshire, which is lcated n the main Ingleby Rad and is easily accessible frm the A50 and A38. 2 Car Parking Please access the grunds using the main Fremarke Hall entrance and nt the HGV side entrance and fllw the rad thrugh the grunds twards the swimming pl. Yu will then be directed t the field behind the Sprts Hall and there will be a shrt walk t the Transitin/Registratin area. We will be perating a ne way system and cars shuld exit the car parking thrugh the field and nt the side rad befre getting nt the main schl drive. Registratin Race registratin will be in the PMA marquee clse t the Transitin area and will be clearly signpsted. Registratin will be pen frm 11:30am until 3.00pm n Saturday. Please ensure that yu register at least 45 minutes befre yur allcated start time therwise we may allcate yur number t a cmpetitr n the reserve list. Please shw yur Triathln England (TE) membership licence if yu have paid the reduced TE members fee. If TE members cannt prvide a licence be prepared t pay the 1 levy t ensure race day insurance. Registratin Pack Upn registering yu will receive yur timing chip (which yu shuld attach t yur left ankle), race numbers (2), bike and helmet sticker (t be placed n the frnt), t-shirt, TE day license fr nn members and yu will be able t cllect pins fr yur race number. Yu will have yur race number written n yur hand in black marker pen. Yur race numbers need t be attached t yur tp n the frnt fr the run and back fr the bike r a race belt can be wrn hwever yu MUST turn them s yu have a number n yur back fr the bike and frnt fr the run. The helmet sticker must be stuck n the frnt f the helmet as well as the bike sticker n yur bike. Entry int transitin will nt be allwed until this is dne. Feed Statins There will be feed statins n the run ut and during the run fr each age-grup with water nly. Parents We realise parents can get very excited, but please bear in mind the event is fr the children t enjy themselves. Please d nt fllw yu child n any sectins f the curse as this will nly make it harder fr marshals. Transitin Area (Opens at 12:00pm) The transitin area is lcated behind the hall n the large sprts field and will be sign psted. This is where yu will leave yur race kit fr bth the run and bike sectins t change (run shes and tp, shrts (if nt wearing a trisuit), a radwrthy bike and an apprved cycle helmet. The racking is numbered and cmpetitrs must rack accrdingly. The race will be running between 1:00pm t 6:30pm s please be cnsiderate t yur fellw cmpetitrs whilst they are taking part t avid any cngestin. Parents/guardians will nt be allwed in transitin. A marshal will help cmpetitrs in the transitin area shuld they need assistance. Nte these imprtant rules abut yu and yur bike they must be beyed!! Yu must nt ride yur bike in transitin Yur t-shirt/number belt, shes and helmet must be put n after the swim. Befre yu tuch yur bike yur helmet must be securely fastened n yur head D nt munt (get n) yur bike until the sign telling yu t d s When yu have finished the bike sectin yu must get ff it at the dismunt sign Yu must nt und yur helmet until yu have racked yur bike in the same place yu left it In the transitin area yu must nt use any ther equipment e.g. ballns, talc n the flr etc t identify the lcatin f yur bike. If yu are riding yur bike befre r after the race e.g. warming up r t/frm the car yu must wear an apprved cycle helmet

3 What t wear Everyne must wear either a tp/shrts r trisuit/cstume. Swim Bike Run Trunks, swim cstume r Trisuit, gggles (nt cmpulsry) Radwrthy bike and an apprved helmet T-shirt, vest which yu will need t attach yur number t r yu can use a race number belt (essential if wearing a trisuit), shes, shrts, scks (if required), twel if yu want t dry ff befre putting trainers n. The Race Swim Cmpetitrs shuld reprt t the plside at least 10 minutes befre yur start time t allw fr lane allcatin and t receive yur swim hat. Swimmers will start in waves f 6 at regular intervals and are respnsible fr cunting their wn number f lengths (there will be a checker plside ding randm checks). Upn exiting the water yu shuld thrw yur cap in the bucket. Tristart 50m 2 lengths Tristar1 150m 6 lengths Tristar2 200m 8 lengths Tristar3 300m 12 lengths Yuth 400m 16 lengths If yu get int difficulty during the swim yu can gain assistance frm the walls r lane rpes Swim t Bike Transitin Yu will get ut f the pl at the end at which yu started and exit thrugh the emergency exit at the midway pint f the pl and fllw the fenced path t the Transitin area. Please d nt run plside Transitin Bikes must be racked against yur designated number and left with all yur bike & run kit. There will be marshals assisting but yu must ensure that yur helmet is clipped befre unracking yur bike. Cycling within the transitin area is strictly frbidden and yu will nt be allwed n yur bike until after the munt line. The Tristart AG will cmplete ne small lp and the ther Age-Grups will all d the same big laps. Tristart 1K (1 small lap) Tristar1 2K (1 large lap) Tristar2 4K (2 large laps) Tristar3 6K (3 large laps) Yuth 8K (4 large laps) The bike curse is a mixed terrain f grass, wd (very small sectin) and tarmac s an ff rad bike (muntain bike r cycl crss bike) is recmmended. Run sectin The run sectin will be fully marshalled. The run will be ne lap (ut and back) fr all age grups apart frm Tristar3 & Yuth which will be 2 laps again ut and back. Tristar3 & Yuth cmpetitrs will be given a band at the end f the first lap. When yu have finished 2 laps run t the finish line. Tristart 600m - ut and back Tristar1 1.2k - ut and back Tristar2 1.8k - ut and back by the marshall. Tristar3 2.4km - ut and back X2 Yuth 3.0km - ut and back X2 At the end f the event all cmpetitrs will receive their well deserved medal!! Changing Facilities The pl changing areas are available t cmpetitrs. Please d nt leave clthing and belngings in these areas. Tilets

4 There will be a number f tilets lcated near t the Transitin area and these will be clearly sign psted as well as in the pl changing rms. Race Briefing There will be tw mandatry race briefings nly:- Tri start & TriStar 1 will be at 12.40pm TriStar2 & TriStar3 will be at 1.45pm Yuth briefing will be at 3.45pm It is recmmended that yu take this pprtunity t listen t specific instructins where yu can ask any last minute questins. Phtgraphy This event is being run in accrdance with the BTF s Child Prtectin Plicy. As such, anyne (parents, friends, caches etc) wishing t take phts r vides at this event will be required t register (at registratin) and wear identificatin thrugh the race. Sprts Sunday will be in attendance and will prvide free f charge pht s t all cmpetitrs, these will be available t dwnlad mid week fllwing the race at Spectatrs Spectatrs will be allwed n the pl side via the main pl entrance nly and nt via the exit dr as this will be used fr the swim exit. N spectatrs will be allwed in transitin r n the bike/run curse and we ask that they avid bstructing cmpetitrs r signs. Medical Advice Please write all medical details and emergency cntact numbers n the frm, which is n the back f yur race number. Whether yu have a medical cnditin r nt, if yu feel unwell n race day dn t race! Event Rules The race is run in accrdance with the BTF rules, which can be seen n their website r phne BTA HQ n There will be a BTF race referee present thrughut the day and any penalties will be at his discretin, these will be listed in the registratin area. Supprt This may be many children s first ever event, s please make this day ne t remember fr all children cmpeting and make a big effrt t cheer and encurage them. Refreshments Ht/cld drinks and light snacks will be available frm 12:00pm near t the finish line. Prizes and Presentatin We hpe t d the Prize presentatin at the race briefing area within 30 mins f the final cmpetitr in each age-grup ver the line.
