LOCATION: Brittingham-Midtwn Aquatic Center, 570 McLawhrne Drive, Newprt News VA Phne # (757) FACILITY: Eight (8) lane 50-meter indr pl, 14 feet in depth at the start end and 4 feet in depth at the turn end; verflw gutters; nn-turbulent lane markers; Clrad Timing System. All sessins will be run using an eight (8) lane curse fr cmpetitin. MEET DIRECTOR: The cmpetitin curse has nt been certified in accrdance with current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins, Article C (4). DISABILITY SWIMMERS: N n-deck USAS Swimming athlete registratin will be permitted. Age n June 4, 2016 will determine age fr the entire meet. Athletes with a disability are welcmed and shall prvide advance ntice f desired accmmdatins t the Meet Directr. FORMAT: ALL 12 & Under swimmers will cmpete in the mrning sessin n Saturday and Sunday. ALL 13 & Over swimmers will cmpete in the afternn sessin n Saturday and Sunday. All events will be timed finals. Distance Sessins: Saturday #33 & 34(800 Freestyle) and Sunday#69 & 70 (1500 Free) will start 15 minutes after the cnclusin f the afternn sessin. WARM-UP: Mrning Sessin: Warm-ups start at 6:50 am; Cmpetitin starts at 8:00 am. Afternn Sessin: Warm-ups start NOT BEFORE 11:30 pm; Cmpetitin starts NOT BEFORE 12:40 pm. Warm-up and meet start times may change based n the time line f the meet after receiving all entries. If the mrning sessin runs late, afternn warm-ups will begin immediately after the mrning sessin ends. Distance Sessin: The cmpetitin pl will be pen fr 10 minutes fllwing the cnclusin f the afternn sessin, with the distance sessin cmpetitin starting 5 minutes thereafter. Specific warm-up lane assignments will be ed t the cntact persn f the participating clubs n TUESDAY, MAY 31, Warm-up infrmatin will als be available n the TAC website, ENTRIES: DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS TUESDAY, MAY 24, Entries must be submitted in lng curse meter times using Hy-Tek Team Manager and Cmmlink-2 sftware, r n a VSI master entry sheet. 1

A Team Manager printut f entries must be included r the meet checklist/summary sheet with the name f the persn t cntact in case f questins must accmpany the entries, regardless f hw they are submitted. Cach Time (CT) will be used in events in which a swimmer des nt have a time r recrd except fr events #34-#35 (Open 800 Freestyle) and #69-#70 (Open 1500 Freestyle). CT must be slwer than a BB time. All entry times ther that CT must have been achieved in USA Swimming sanctined, apprved, r bserved cmpetitin. NT entries will nly be accepted fr events #33 and #34 (Open 800 Freestyle) and #69 and #70 (Open 1500 Freestyle). Entries will be prcessed in the rder received and accepted t the greatest extent pssible withut exceeding the 4-hur/sessin timeline limit fr the 12 & Under sessins. The Meet Directr reserves the right t limit entries int the meet r in any events, if necessary, t prevent t lengthy a sessin. AWARDS: Individual events: Ribbns will be awarded fr first (1 st ) thrugh eighth (8 th ) place 12 & Under events will be given separate awards fr 11-12, 9-10, and 8 & Under age grups. 10 & Under events will be given separate awards fr 9-10 and 8 & Under age grups. Open and 13 & Over events will nt be given awards. Leis will be awarded t each heat winner. SEEDING: All events will be pre-seeded except events #19 & 20 (12 & Under 400 IM), #31 & 32 (13 & Over 400 IM), #33 & 34 (Open 800 Freestyle), #55 & 56 (12 & Under 400 Freestyle), #67 & 68 (13 & Over 400 Freestyle), and #69 & 70 (Open 1500 Freestyle) which will be deck seeded. 3 PENALTIES: THE EVENT. Events #33 & 34 (Open 800 Free) and #69 & 70 (Open 1500 Free) will be swum fastest t slwest and alternating heats f girls and bys. Penalties fr entries using fraudulent and/r nn-verifiable entry times: Swimmer shall be marked as exhibitin fr the event swum illegally and the event shall be re-scred and awarded. Club may be fined $100 fr each ffense, and a recrd f such ffenses shall be kept and published as part f the fficial meet results. Clubs entering swimmers nt legally registered with USA Swimming befre the first day f the meet may be fined $100 per swimmer in each event(s) swum If the swimmer is representing a club in cmpetitin, the fine will be levied n the Club. If the swimmer is unattached, the fine will be levied n the swimmer. RULES: The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins will apply. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA-S member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. When unaccmpanied by a member-cach, it is the respnsibility f the swimmer r the swimmer s legal guardian t ensure cmpliance with this requirement. The verhead start prcedure will be used fr the afternn sessins, and may be used fr the mrning sessins at the discretin f the Referee. Use f audi r visual recrding devices, including cell phnes, is nt permitted in changing areas, rest rms r lcker rms. In additin, phtgraphy behind the blcks is nt permitted. Changing int r ut f swimsuits ther than in lcker rms r ther designated areas is PROHIBITED. In accrdance with VSI Best Practices, swimmers shuld shwer befre entering the pl. The number f timers required per club and their lane assignments will be psted n the TAC website n later than TUESDAY, MAY 31, 2016, and will als be ed t the cntact persn f each f the individual clubs. Please be prepared t time yur wn swimmers in the distance sessins. GENERAL: Meet Prgrams: Heat sheets and/r psych sheets will be sld fr $7.00 Snack Bar/fd: A snack bar/fd vendrs will be available during the meet. Swim Shp: A Swim Shp will be pen during the meet. 3

4 FACILITY RULES: Hspitality: Tidewater Aquatic Club will prvide a Hspitality Rm fr caches, fficials and fficials in training. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Snacks will be prvided during the day. Swimmer/Spectatr Cnduct: Each club is respnsible fr supervising the cnduct f its swimmers/spectatrs. Any swimmer/spectatr that vilates Aquatic Center rules, psted at the pl, will be disqualified frm the meet and escrted frm the facility. Please nte that the City f Newprt News prhibits fd f any kind in the pl area; permissible beverages inside the pl area are limited t thse in clsed cntainers (e.g. sprts and plastic bttles with screw-n caps. Deck Access: Access t the pl deck will be strictly cntrlled. Swimmers, caches, fficials and event staff are the nly peple permitted behind the blcks. Spectatrs are asked t remain behind the rpes setup n the sides f the pl. Please stay in the seating area as much as pssible and nt view the meet frm the deck during warm-ups and the cmpetitin. Team Areas: Team seating will be available in the gymnasium and limited space in the pl area. N swim bags will be allwed in the pl area. Swimmers must keep their bags in the gym. Please nte that the City f Newprt News requires everyne leaving the pl area and entering any ther part f the facility t wear shes (sandals/flip-flps) Spectatr Seating: Bleacher seating will be available fr spectatrs. Please nte the City f Newprt News prhibits clers r chairs in the pl area. They are allwed in the gym. Parking: Please nte that there is a ne-way traffic pattern that circles the building. Park nly in designated (marked) parking spts. Overflw parking is available at Hines Middle Schl (next dr). Parents are respnsible fr any siblings brught t the meet. Please chapern them clsely.
