4 ENTRY LIMITATIONS: The Meet Directr reserves the right t limit entries, events, heats, r t mdify the meet frmat t cnfrm t Middle Atlantic rules. Each sessin will be held under the maximum 4-hur per sessin time limit. Entries will be inputted in the r/der they are received, NO exceptins. Teams and/r individuals that d nt make a particular sessin f the meet will be ntified f their status ASAP. Refunds fr returned entries will be available at the meet r mailed after the meet if nt picked up. DECK ENTRIES/ TIME TRIALS: Deck Entries: Subject t space availability, and at the discretin f the Meet Directr, deck entries will be accepted n the day f the meet, prir t the start f each sessin, at the cst f $8.00/individual event, $12.00/relay event. N additinal heats will be added. Deck-entered swimmers will cmpete unfficially; the achieved time is fficial, but the swim will nt scre in the meet fr pints r awards. All deck entries must be submitted t the meet directr 45 minutes prir t the start f the sessin t be cnsidered. USA Athlete ID must be presented if a swimmer is nt already entered int the meet. Swimmers may als use a USA Swimming-watermarked rster that the club prints frm its Club Prtal fr prf f current registratin. Time Trials: Time trials will nt be ffered at this meet. SEEDING: Events: All events are timed finals. Entry Seeding: Events fr 9 & Over participants will be seeded at the meet. Each team will be given a check-in sheet with all events listed fr each sessin. Check-in sheets must be turned in t the meet administratin n later than 30 minutes prir t the start f the sessin. Swimmers that are being scratched frm the sessin will have a circle arund their name and events with SCR next t their name. If a single event is being scratched, a single line will be drawn with a circle arund the event in which they are being scratched. Relay cards fr the 9 & Over events will be due 1 hur after the start f the sessin All events will be swimming slwest t fastest except fr the events nted belw. The 1650FR will swim fastest t slwest. 1650FR swimmers must prvide their wn timers and cunters. Psitive check-in fr the 1650 will clse at 11:45am The 11&O 400IM and 9&Over 500FR will swim fastest t slwest Psitive check-in fr the 400IM and the 500FR will clse at 9:45am 500FR swimmers must prvide their wn cunters. The 200 BK, 200 BR, 200FL, 11&O 400IM, 11&O 1650FR and 9&Over 500FR events will be swum tgether but awarded separately in the apprpriate age-grups. The mini meet will be pre-seeded except fr the relays. Relay cards fr the mini meet will be due at the start f the sessin. SWIMMERS WITHOUT A COACH: Swimmers unaccmpanied by a cach with prper credentials shuld reprt t the Meet Directr befre the warm-up fr each sessin. These swimmers will be placed under the supervisin f the Jersey Strm caches during the meet (fr warm-up and cmpetitin). Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccmpanied by a USA Swimming member cach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. 5 HOW TO ENTER: Entry times shuld reflect perfrmance in shrt curse yards (SCY) cmpetitin, hwever, entries reflecting perfrmance in nn-cnfrming times lng curse meters (LCM) r shrt curse meters (SCM) are acceptable. All meet entries shuld be submitted using the actual time swum in the curse in which the time was achieved. Entries with cnverted times will be rejected. In accrdance with Middle Atlantic Swimming Inc. plicy, the meet directr will cnvert all times as necessary fr seeding. If swimmer has n time fr an event, use NT fr the entry. Hy-Tek Entries (preferred): All entries must be submitted using the Hy-Tek Team Manager prgram. A cpy f the Team Manager entry reprt and entry zip file must accmpany the . Entries must be accmpanied by a cmpleted Team Summary sheet. Paper entries: Use fficial Meet Entry frms enclsed. In accrdance with current Mid-Atlantic plicy, any team entering the meet with mre than five swimmers that des nt submit entries via using Hy-Tek r cmpatible prgram will incur a $5.00 per swimmer surcharge. This surcharge, as well as nrmal entry fees must be paid in full fr the entries t be cnsidered received. Entries must be accmpanied by a cmpleted Team Summary sheet. Please send ONE check per club, payable t JERSEY STORM SWIMMING (d nt send individual checks fr each swimmer). Entries using Hy-Tek Team Manager may be ed r mailed t the meet directr. ON-SITE REGISTRATION: Unregistered swimmers may register n deck at this meet by turning in the athlete registratin frm and payment t the Meet Directr. The cst f registering n deck is duble the nrmal fee ($120 per swimmer fr registratin). This applies t all swimmers attached t a club. 6 RULES: This meet will be cnducted accrding t current USA Swimming and Middle Atlantic Swimming rules. USA Swimming/Middle Atlantic Swimming safety guidelines and warm-up prcedures will be in effect fr the entire meet. Failure t bey instructins f safety directr, marshals & fficials will result in disqualificatin frm meet. There is abslutely NO DIVING permitted in warm-up pl with the exceptin f designated sprints during warmups. Swimmers vilating safety rules will be remved frm the pl. Subsequent vilatins will result in the swimmer s disqualificatin fr the remainder f the meet. All caches/fficials must be registered with USA Swimming and must display valid USA card. Only USA Swimming registered swimmers, caches, and fficials with valid credentials and essential meet persnnel will be permitted n deck. Spectatrs are prhibited frm entering areas f the pl that are being used by swimmers, caches and fficials displaying valid USA Swimming credentials. Scratch Rule: Any swimmer entered in an individual event that is seeded n the deck, in whle r in part, wh has psitively checked in fr that event, must swim the event unless the swimmer ntifies the Referee r Clerk f Curse prir t the seeding f the event that the swimmer wishes t scratch. Failure t scratch prir t seeding after psitively checking-in and nt swimming the event will result in the swimmer being barred frm the next individual event in which they are entered whether n the same r later meet day. Entry Times: Penalties will be impsed upn a swimmer when any cach, parent r swimmer enters any time ther than the swimmer's best time fr any event. Penalties may include fines and suspensin. Start Prcedure: This meet will be cnducted using the Whistle Cmmands and N Recall false start prcedures as utlined by USA Swimming. 'Fly-ver' starts will be used at this meet fr 9&Over events. All swimmers (except fr Backstrke starts) shuld remain in the water at the cmpletin f their race until the next heat has begun. Bulkhead Safety: Any swimmer bserved swimming under r thrugh the bulkhead by an Official r Safety Mnitr at the meet will be disqualified frm that swimmer s next individual event r frm the remainder f the meet, as determined by the Meet Referee. This plicy will be strictly enfrced. Only meet fficials are allwed n the bulkhead during the meet. Official Times/Results: All events are timed finals with times/places being determined by the timing system and verified by meet fficials. Scre bard time is nt fficial. Questins regarding results shuld be addressed t the meet directr by the swimmer s cach nly. SCORING: Team and Individual High Pint scring will be kept. It is imperative that all swimmers state their team affiliatin n individual entries. Team and individual high pint awards ignre ALL time standards and the events/meet is scred based slely n fastest t slwest times in each scring age grup.
