ACHS Bat Huse, 3401 Fairmnt Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401; Tel: (609) Open water: This is a flat water bay swim with limited tidal flw. High tide will be apprximately at 6:30pm (3.85 feet bay side). The water temperature is expected t be in the range f High 70F. The 500 meter, 1.5K 2K, & 5K swim races will start and finish in the water area in frnt f the ACHS Bathuse (check the curse map at The 1.5 KILOMETER will cnsist f 1 lap f 750 meter lng ut and back curse, the 2K will cnsist f 1 lap f 1000 meter lng ut and back curse in frnt f the Bat Huse, and the 500 METER will cnsist f ne lap f a 250 meter lng ut and back curse. The 5K race curse will cnsist f a 2,500M lp ut and back frm the Bat Huse (Albany Ave.) t Drset Ave. The start fr all races will be in parallel t the finish line separated by in water dck platfrm. Finish Banner marks the finish line. J-Chip USA Electrnic Time System will be used fr the final finishing/scring. Manual watches will be used as backup timing. All swimmers wh have nt cmpleted the curse during the prescribed time limit may be asked t retire. Details f race curse with landmarks will be available at check-in. The race will end 30 minutes after the start r 15 minutes after the first finisher fr each gender cmpletes the event whichever is earlier. All swimmers wh have nt cmpleted the curse will be asked t retire. 500M: Check-in: 12:00pm; Pre-race meeting: 2:45pm; Event start: 3:30pm. The race will cnsist f 1 lp f 250m lng ut and back. The curse will be marked with large range

The race will end 20 minutes after the start; all swimmers wh have nt cmpleted the curse may be asked t retire. 2K: Check-in: 2:00pm; Pre-race Meeting: 3:30pm; Event start: 4:00pm The race will cnsist f 1 time arund a 1000M lng lp ut and back, marked with large range buys. The race will end 60 minutes after the start. All swimmers wh have nt cmpleted the curse may be asked t retire. RACE CONDUCT The Bridge t Bridge events, Middle Atlantic Swimming Champinships and Eastern Zne Champinships cmpetitins will be cntested in a single a race and results tabulated frm the verall rder f finish. QUALIFICATION: DISABILITY SWIMMERS: FORMAT: WARM-UPS: ENTRIES: The tp female and male finishers in 5K race autmatically qualify fr 2016 USA Open Water Natinals Athletes with a disability are welcmed and shall prvide advance ntice f desired accmmdatins t the Meet Directr. The athlete (r the athlete's cach) is als respnsible fr ntifying the meet referee f any disability prir t the cmpetitin. Order f races: 5K, 1.5K, 500M and 2K There will be warmups sessin 15 min. prir t the start f each event. DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2015 Swimmers may enter a maximum f 1 individual event. Entries must be submitted using Hy-Tek Team Manager sftware, r cmplete Entry Frm. Teams may submit entries via . A Team Manager printut f entries must be included r the meet checklist/summary sheet with the name, phne number, and address f the persn t cntact in case f questins must accmpany the entries, regardless f hw they are submitted. FEES: Individual Entry: $35 (entered in any capacity in the meet includes t-shirt) All entries POSTMARKED after June 19, 2015 will require a $5 late fee per swimmer. Thse entering after June 19, 2015, may nt receive a T-shirt. THERE WILL BE NO REDUCTION IN FEE Payment must be received by Friday, June 19, 2015 fr all entries. Team Awards: An apprpriate team award will be presented t the tp three teams in the Male, Female and Cmbined Team Cmpetitin. EZ Teams must scre in bth, Female and Male cmpetitin races t scre and qualify fr Cmbine Team Champinship. Please nte: The results frm the pen water cmpetitin will nt affect the team scre frm the Eastern Znes Meet held in Richmnd, VA n August 5-8, Individual events will be scred using 16 th Place Scring System ( ) All like-distances will be seeded as a single event, withut regard t a swimmer s gender. Places, awards, and published results will be separate fr each event by gender. Each swimmer must check-in t receive their COMPETITOR NUMBER. Check-in times are listed n the Descriptin f Events and Schedule page. SWIMMERS FAILING TO POSITIVELY CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWIM THE EVENT. The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins will apply. Optinal swimsuits underneath. SAFETY: The meet is an in the water start with swimmers held in a clsed area marked by numbers n shulders and back. Swimmers will be issued a card with the same number and will give this card t the chief judge when entering the dck prir t the start f the race. The number f each swimmer will be recrded and delivered t each strke and turn judge prir t the start f race. There will be instructins f the curse and rules f play t swimmers, then the start. At each turn, there will be an accunting f the swimmers by Turn Judges (3 n the water and ne n land). Any ne leaving the curse will be accunted fr by safety persnnel and their cmpetitr number will be radied t the administrative referee. When the swimmers finish, it will be an in water finish and the swimmers will again be held in the clsed starting area until the cmpetitr numbers are recrded. Mnitring Swimmers During Race Safety bats will mnitr the entire curse,(2 pwer bats, ne at each end r ut f bunds f curse, 2 lifeguard bats, safety kayaks and 2 Sea D PWC) There will be n escrt craft fr individual swimmers Swimmers will be cunted as they turn buy n the curse. 4 Lifeguards will be n lcatin, (1 in the water n Sea D PWC and 3 n the land with view f entire curse. There will be ne rescue/evacuatin 2 Sea D PWC and ne rescue/evacuatin Zdiac and Life Guard. The ACFD will be n site with Jet Ski r Bat and a Patrl n land. Medical Services There will be a First Aid statin/ tent available at start/finish at the bathuse.

4 The ACFD will be n site with ne EMT s team. Lcated at the Start/Finish site. Back up rescue squad will be Drset Ave., 2.5K away. Atlantic City Atlantic Care Hspital is lcated 2 miles frm the site. Safety Cmmunicatins Plan Each fficial, safety craft and safety fficer will have a radi and whistle/air hrn. One Radi channel will be devted t safety. One blast n whistle r ne blast n air hrn t attract attentin then radi explanatin f safety need. The Safety Officer will be in charge f all safety at the event, verseeing life guards, EMT s and swim safety. The safety fficer will be in cntact with fficials, life guards and EMT s by radi. The safety fficer will be lcated n the secnd flr f the bat huse with clear view f the curse f swim. Feeding Statins The lngest distance is 5K and feeding statins are nt required; hwever, all safety watercraft will have first aid and water n bard thrugh all races. Accunting fr swimmers Refer t mnitring swimmers This is the mst imprtant duty f the safety team. Each Turn fficial will whistle if there is a pssible DQ in their jurisdictin and fllw with radi prtcl in additin t radiing t admin when last swimmer passes their statin each lap. Technical Meeting: The technical Meeting will be held at 1:15pm (5K and 1.5K), 2:45pm (500M) and 3:15pm (2K) the day f the race. This technical Meeting will be psted and ed t each LSC prir t meet day. This will als be reviewed with each heat prir t start f each race. Safety during pre-race warm-up and pst-race warm-dwn There will be a separate warm up warm dwn area and swimmers will nt be allwed t warm up r warm dwn n the curse. The warm up area will als have at least ne life guard and ne marshal in additin we will have at least tw kayak/paddle bard n the water t prevent any swimmers beynd buy markings f warm up curse. We will als require the swimmer t give their number card t marshal prir t entering warm- up area and pick up the card when leaving the warm-up area. GENERAL: This event is n the bay side f Atlantic City and will be held rain r shine. Event may be delayed r cancelled due t lightning. N refunds.
