Any student doing frosbuy flop must have a signed permission form from qualified coach or team manager or parent to be eligible to do this type of technique. Athlete Deadline Friday 21 July 2017 Nominations Sent initially to Trudy Landsberg for checking then forwarded to James Grech. Trudy_landsberg@emmaus.qld.edu.au Number of competitors per event yrs 100m x 4, all other track and field events x 3, tetrathon (multi event) x yrs 100 x 4, all other events x 3 (nb only top 2 for each school go toward school/age championship points however 3 rd competitor eligible for district team selection to go to Cap trials) NB - Central Valleys (combined secondary team) can nominate 1 athlete per event, per age group, per school. Changes/substitution on carnival day deadline completed by 8.30 especially track events on that day to James Grech at finish line. Day 1 100m/1500m changes by 8.30, 400m by Day 2 200m/3000m changes by 8.30, 800m changes by Any field event changes can be done by team manager at field event prior to start time. 12 yr old high school students can nominate for the tetrathon which is the multi event 100m, 800m, long jump and shotput Competition Nomination Fee - $5 per competitor Team Officials Number required As per attachment Nominations Primary officials will be given priority to field events such as LJ, SP, Discus and HJ CARA signoff for field events at 8.45am on each day with Peter Delley

4 Competition uniform Footwear optional for all track/jump events but compulsory for throw events 100/200/400m runners carry shoes to start line, remove at finish line. No spikes allowed for middle to long distance Athletes must compete in either school (secondary)or district (primary) sports uniform Equipment Majority provided by Cap sport or North Rockhampton Little Athletics Club Map/throwing A map of carnival/event venue and throwing weights will be sent to schools over the next week. weights Results Electronic input recorders for track 4 at finish line Results will be posted at shed near discus throughout the day Recorders for field events Peter to check final standings before sent to James Number of finalists for 100m/200m - 9 for 100m, 8 for 200m Age champions Champion high school overall boys and girls Rockhampton yrs 4 per event per age group team selection yrs - Top 4 for 100m, top 3 for all other events except HJ - must jump Cap qualifier, top 2 for Cap trials for tetrathon. Rockhampton team selection paperwork handed out on the day (at shed near Discus) Para/ AWD Rita Dixon (Rockhampton South Special ) and Aaron Lacey (Rockhampton North Special ) and Primary TA s support/escort Para athletes at each event. Canteen/ toilets Officials will receive a lunch voucher they can use throughout the day Canteen food provided by canteen staff for public 1-2 coffee vans will be available throughout the day Portaloos to be provided First Aid Team managers are advised to bring own 1 st aid kit with student medical information in case of emergency. A first aid area/tent will be set up near finish line for assistance. Safety Zones All spectators must stay outside marked orange/taped safety zones especially during field events Parking Tent setup Areas will be advised closer to event. s/districts are encouraged to bring own tent for competitors.
