1 WELCOME TO NETBALL 1! We are pleased to welcome Koori Dolphins to our ranks this year, increasing the number of Clubs affiliated with Campbelltown to. We are also very pleased that the number of teams entered in our 1 competition has grown across all age groups. This means we will have 1 teams playing at Coronation Park this year. In addition, we have entered three teams in the Netball NSW Metro League competition. Team 1 has been graded in Division whilst Teams 3 will play in Divisions respectively. Members are encouraged to support our players coaching staff when they play at Olympic Park. We have also selected a 1 years/under team to play in the State Championships at Gosford over the June long weekend. Supporters are very welcome! This year Netball Australia made it compulsory for members to register individually on the MyNetball system. This made it extremely difficult for some of our members we thank you all for persevering in your efforts to register. The Active Kids voucher initiative was a great help to people with school age children who wished to play a sport we were pleased to be a nominated provider for this scheme. We thank Wests League Club Leumeah for its continued support in providing funds for the Wests Family Discount Scheme hope you have all taken advantage of this incentive. Many thanks too for the support received from 1 st Choice Rentals in funding a further incentive in the 1 st Choice for Kids series. This year, 1 st Choice will sponsor our Talent Identification Program for our year olds. We also thank our friends at The Athlete s Foot for providing a sponsorship by way of tee shirts for our umpires. Our sports medicine people are available if you suffer injury or require advice. Use our wheelchair if needed. If you require any other assistance, please ask at the office where experienced personnel will answer your queries. INJURIES/INSURANCE: All injuries must be reported at the office recorded in the Injury Book otherwise you will not be able to claim insurance. Your first contact is your Club Umpire Convenor The Association s Umpire Co-ordinator is Thomas Turner ( ). The Senior Convenor is Jessica Currie (0 3 31) the Junior Convenor is Lucia McGlone ( ). I want to umpire what do I have to do? The Association conducts practical umpiring sessions (Have-a-Go) to help new umpires become comfortable with the on-court experience. You must be a registered member of CDNA to attend. See your Club Convenor or Umpires Control to register your interest. If you enjoy the experience of Have-a-Go; 1) Complete the Foundation Umpire Course (available on-line) pass the umpires exam (available on-line). ) Obtain a clearance to umpire. This will be arranged at the Have-a-Go court sessions Clearances All umpires must have a clearance for the level of game that they are umpiring. An umpire s clearance determines the highest grade of game at which that umpire may officiate. The Association Umpires Convenors may revoke an umpire's clearance if the umpire does not continue to meet the required stard. A fine of $ applies for umpiring without the proper clearance. Club Convenors should submit names of all umpires requiring a clearance on the appropriate form before they umpire. Club Convenors must re-submit a request for a clearance if an umpire wants to umpire a higher grade.

15 The Umpiring Committee will view an umpire before giving a clearance. The Committee may grant a clearance without viewing if the umpire has (a) a current theory pass (valid for years) (b) a Level 1 or Foundation Umpire Accreditation (c) umpired in the previous two years at that level. What do I do each week? Your Club Convenor will allocate you to games. Check that the correct number of players has signed on to the score sheet. At the end of the game sign the score sheet provide your Association registration number. There is a fine of $ if you do not sign provide your registration number. Division 1 Pool Each Club with teams in Division 1 Division must nominate suitably qualified umpires to cover their Division 1 Division games each week. The Umpires Committee will allocate umpires from this pool. Suitably qualified umpire is National C badge or above for Div 1 Association 1 badge or above for Div. Umpiring NetSetGo Non-competition games All non-competition NetSetGo games are played under modified rules. Umpires must be qualified (i.e. have obtained either a coaching accreditation or passed the umpire s theory exam have been cleared to umpire). The coach of the team is the preferred umpire of non-competition games provided they are qualified. Competition games (, year olds) In the years age groups, teams play to the normal netball rules participate in the final series. Umpires for the, year old age groups must have an Association or National (preferred) badge.
