The contest is set for 1 p.m. ET and can be seen live on BearcatsTV. It s the first of two games this week for Cincinnati, who will then face Presbyterian on Sunday, March 8 (2 p.m.). The Hatters and Blue Hose will also face each other on Friday, March 6, at Gettler Stadium (Noon). // SCOUTING THE BEARCATS After the first five contests of the season, Cincinnati is led in scoring by junior Courtney Curtis (Mason, Ohio/Mason), who has found the back of the cage 12 times. Freshman Brianna Miller (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) is second on the team with nine points (seven goals, two assists), followed by senior Ashley Helmrath (Ellicott City, Md./Maryvale Prep) at six points (four goals, two assists). Junior Kyara Byner (Franklin, Tenn./Ensworth) anchors the UC defense with a team-best eight caused turnovers, plus six ground balls. Sophomore Skylar DeLemos (Cranbury, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro) leads the squad with 14 draw controls. Junior captain Meg Gulmi (Syosset, N.Y./ Syosset) has started all five games in the cage and sports a.373 save percentage. // SCOUTING THE HATTERS Stetson travels to the Queen City with a 1-2 mark on the year and will be playing on the road for the first time in The Hatters fell to Coastal Carolina, 15-4, before defeating Delaware State, 16-3, and most recently falling, 16-5, to Elon. Rachel Valocchi and Hallie Merz are tied for the team lead in points. Valocchi has four goals and two assists, while Merz has two goals and four assists. Meghan Moran leads the way on defense with four caused turnovers, as well as six ground balls. The Hatters have used a pair of goalies, with Whitney Meyers sporting a 1-1 record a.553 save percentage, while Caili Guilday is 0-1 with a.409 save percentage. The Hatters were picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Sun this season behind first-year head coach Christy Leach. // CINCINNATI & STETSON - THE SERIES Cincinnati and Robert Morris are meeting for just the second time. The first meeting was a 17-5 UC victory last season in DeLand, Florida. Megan Bell (Parkton, Md./Hereford) led the Bearcats with six goals and two assists, while Ashley Helmrath (Ellicott City, Md./Maryvale Prep) scored four times with a pair of assists and Michelle Platz (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Ursula) scored a hat trick. The Bearcats jumped to a 12-1 lead at the half, scoring the first 10 goals of the game, including four goals from Bell in that run. Meg Gulmi (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) played the first 40 minutes in the cage, making a pair of saves while facing four shots.

2 // CURTIS TIPS HAT ON OPENING WEEKEND Junior midfielder Courtney Curtis (Mason, Ohio/Mason) had an outstanding opening weekend, recording hat tricks against a pair of ranked teams. Curtis scored three goals each in losses to No. 11 Notre Dame and No. 13 Louisville, pacing the Bearcats. She led UC in scoring last season, recording 27 goals and eight assists (35 points) while starting all 17 games. With 12 goals in five games this season, Curtis is currently tied for fourth in the BIG EAST Conference with 12 goals. Curtis is also tied for third with four free position goals on the year. // GULMI BACK IN THE CAGE Junior goalkeeper Meg Gulmi (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) returns for her third season as UC s starter in the cage. Like her co-captain, Megan Bell, Gulmi has already etched her name into the program s career records and will become the team s all-time winningest goalkeeper with her next victory. The rookie has collected 12 draws while playing in four games thus far in Her average of 3.00 draw controls per game ranks fifth in the BIG EAST. // OLIVER CONTINUES BUILDING PROGRAM Gina Oliver enters her third year at the helm of the Bearcats looking to continue building the program after the best consecutive seasons in UC history. Oliver s squad set a program record with five-consecutive victories in 2014, earning votes in the Inside Lacrosse media poll for the first time ever.
