1 7v7 SOCCER LEAGUE RULES ADMINISTRATIVE RULES 1. League fees fr an eight match seasn and playffs are set fr $550. Registratin fees include nline scheduling & administratin, $50 frfeiture depsit, Referee Assignr fees, and awards fr league & turnament champins. i. League Champins (regular seasn) will receive a $50 rebate ff the subsequent seasn. ii. Turnament Champins (playffs) will receive league champins shirts. Any team registering after the psted registratin deadline must pay an additinal late fee f $50. Frfeiture depsit will be refunded upn the cnclusin f the seasn t all teams qualifying. All league fees must be paid in full upn registratin; any team which has nt paid full will be drpped frm the league prir t scheduling. N refunds shall be issued after the league schedule has been psted. 2. The League Crdinatr/Specialist retains the authrity t mdify r deviate frm any 7v7 Sccer League Rules as deemed necessary in the best interests f the verall prgram. 3. Team schedules are autmatically generated within Team Sideline and will NOT be mdified week-t-week unless deemed necessary by the League Crdinatr/Specialist 4. All match times are subject t change and cancellatin at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Specialist. In the event f thunder/lightning all players, fficials, and spectatrs must vacate the All-Weather-Turf fields until it is deemed safe t return by the League Crdinatr/Specialist. In the event f cancellatin r delays each team s primary captain will be ntified thrugh and/r text (if registered) via teamsideline.cm and will be respnsible fr ntifying their players. The League Crdinatr/Specialist shall update the league website when pssible in the event f cancellatin r delays. Matches will be cancelled and re-scheduled in the event f a delay (due t inclement weather, irrigatin issues, etc.) exceeding thirty (30) minutes in length. In rder t be cnsidered a cmplete match, ne (1) full half must be cmpleted. After ne half, the match shall be cnsidered cmplete and will cunt twards the team s regular seasn recrd. 5. Each match shall cnsist f tw (2) twenty-tw (22) minute halves with a five (5) minute half time N vertime r shtut in the regular seasn (match ends in a tie). During the playffs, tw (2) five-minute sudden death (GOLDEN GOAL RULES) vertime perids shall be played in the event f a tie at the cnclusin f the match. A five-sht Penalty Kick cmpetitin shall fllw vertime if necessary. i. If still tied after five (5) penalty kicks, the teams will cntinue with PKs until ne team has scred mre gals than the ppsing team ii. All eligible players n the rster are able t participate in taking PKs 1. First PK sessin: any five (5) registered rster players 2. Secnd PK sessin: five (5) registered players wh did NOT participate in the first sessin 3. Any additinal PK sessins will use recycled players frm previus sessins 6. Each match will begin five (5) minutes after the cnclusin f any preceding match that has run late. 7. A team may play with a minimum f five players. A frfeit shall be called if a team cannt field five rster players within 5 minutes f the designated start time fr the match. If bth teams agree then a scrimmage match may be played with brrwed players. In the event f a scrimmage match: n referee shall be present. 8. The League Crdinatr/Specialist retains the authrity t mve any team t a different divisin prir t the start f each seasn as deemed necessary. The tp tw (2) teams in each divisin shall be relegated up t the next divisin at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Specialist. The bttm tw (2) teams in the cmpetitive divisins may be relegated dwn t a lwer divisin the fllwing seasn as deemed necessary by the League Crdinatr/Specialist. 1 7V7 SOCCER LEAGUE RULES The Wdlands Twnship

2 Any divisin placement fr teams utside f the tp and bttm tw as stated abve shall be made based n prir seasn s regular seasn perfrmance and standings (playffs d NOT apply). The preference listed during registratin is taken int accunt but NOT guaranteed. All divisin placements cme at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Specialist fr the betterment f the verall league. Teams playing in the cmpetitive divisin will be permitted t enter the Recreatinal Divisin the fllwing seasn nly at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Specialist 9. In the event f frfeiture the team captain must prvide ntificatin t the League Crdinatr/Specialist the WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE MATCH, n later than 5 p.m. In the event that n/inadequate ntificatin is prvided the frfeiting team s $50 frfeiture depsit will be withheld by the League Crdinatr/Specialist. Frfeitures will cunt as a 2-0 lss tward the frfeiting team s recrd. 10. Current League Structure: Cmpetitive Divisins: i. Divisin I ii. Divisin II iii. Divisin III Recreatinal Divisin: i. Recreatin A (Subdivisin) ii. Recreatin B (Subdivisin) iii. Recreatin C (Subdivisin) Over 35 Divisin i. 35+ A (Subdivisin) ii. 35+ B (Subdivisin) C-Ed 11. Each divisin r subdivisin shall hld a separate pst seasn single eliminatin turnament. Each turnament champinship match shall have tw referees present. 12. League Standings (t determine turnament brackets) are based n win-lss recrd fr each divisin/subdivisin. Tiebreakers will be determined by Teamsideline.cm based n the fllwing: 1.) Head t Head 2.) Ttal Gal Differential 3.) Ttal Gals Scred 4.) Ttal Gals Allwed 5.) Cin Flip ROSTERS 1. All players must be at least eighteen (18) years f age. Each team may have up t twenty players n the rster. The preliminary rster must be turned in n later than nn prir t the first match. Rster changes shall nt be permitted after the third week f the seasn. All rsters must be submitted in the apprved template prvided by the League Crdinatr/Specialist. Each player s name must appear n the rster as it appears n their pht I.D. Any player written nt the rster prir t any match during the seasn will nt be added t the rster f said team. An must be sent t the League Crdinatr/Supervisr with the updated rster in the apprved frmat. N updates will be accepted after the third (3 rd ) verall week f the seasn, regardless f bye weeks. 2. When separate divisins exist, (i.e. cmpetitive, recreatinal, 35 & up, c-ed) crss ver players are permitted at the discretin f the League Crdinatr and/r Specialist. All crss ver players must be declared n the rster and apprved by the League Crdinatr/Specialist. i. Playing as a crssver player cmes with the risk f pssible schedule cnflicts, such as but nt limited t, teams playing at the same times r missing multiple matches due t suspensin ii. Playing as a crssver player is a chice, and it is the respnsibility f the team captain t ensure that their team can participate with r withut crssver players iii. The 7v7 Adult Sccer League is NOT respnsible fr any scheduling cnflicts due t crssver players, and n schedules will be changed t accmmdate crssver players Crssver players are prhibited frm playing in tw sub-divisins f the same divisin (i.e. Rec A & Rec C). Teams may nt cmpete in different divisins and will be disqualified. Rsters will be crssed checked. 3. During the regular seasn, the captain f a team with fewer than seven (7) players may request permissin frm the ppnent's captain t allw guest players frm anther team's rster fr that match. A team must have a minimum f 5 registered players frm the team rster t play the match. The team can brrw up t tw (2) registered guest players frm an n-lking team, prvided they d nt play n a team in the same divisin. 2 7V7 SOCCER LEAGUE RULES The Wdlands Twnship

3 The captain f the ppsing team shall have the sle decisin t allw the guest players t play r nt. If the ppsing captain allws guest players t cmpete fr the ther team, the maximum number f guest players and rster players shall nt exceed seven (7), e.g. six (6) rster players and ne (1) guest player. If players n the rster arrive after the match has begun, the team with the guest players must drp the guest players (if exceeds 7 players). 4. During the pstseasn turnament, a team may nly use players wh are n the team s fficial rster. N guest players allwed. All players must bring sme frm f Pht ID t be eligible t play in the match. There will be n exceptins. CHECK IN 1. Players are required t check in with the ppsing captain prir t each match. After all players have checked in the match reprt shall be given t the match referee. If a player is nt checked in and cannt prvide the prper identificatin they will be ruled ineligible and will nt be allwed t play. There will be n exceptins. Any player using a false identity shall be suspended frm the league fr the seasn and the team will frfeit any matches this player participated in. Further sanctins shall be at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Supervisr 2. Late Player Check in Late players must check in with an nsite League Official (League Crdinatr/Specialist r Referee Assignr). The player will be eligible fr play at the next break in the game after checking in. Late players will be respnsible fr signing the match reprt at the half. 3. Team Captains are respnsible fr ensuring their teammates are signed in prir t each match. In additin, Team Captains are als respnsible fr checking the ppsing team s rster prir t each match. 4. Match reprts will be in a clip bard at midfield each Sunday. All players are respnsible fr signing the match reprt (next t their name n the rster) befre they begin playing. All guest players must sign the match reprt (in the ntes sectin) prir t entering the match. Any player wh fails t sign the match reprt shall be cnsidered ineligible until they have signed in. EQUIPMENT 1. Each team must have identical jerseys fr each player. Each player must display a different permanent number (numbers must be at least six inches tall) n each jersey. N team may have multiple jerseys with the same number. The galkeeper must wear a jersey that distinguishes him frm field players and the match fficial. A player nt wearing the apprpriate unifrm will nt be allwed t enter the game. All teams have until the third match f the seasn t meet these unifrm criteria. Game pennies will nly be used in the event that the tw scheduled teams have the same clr unifrms r in the event that guest players are being utilized. 2. Shin guards are mandatry with the tp f the shin guard being cvered by a sck. 3. Galkeeper materials must be prvided by the teams 4. Braces and Casts: Any brace r cast must be sufficiently padded t prevent ther players frm being injured if struck. The referee may require a player with a brace r cast leave the field in the event they feel the player is playing in a manner that is dangerus t him/her r the ther players n the field. Anther player may be substituted in this instance. The decisin t allw a cast/brace is at the sle discretin f the match fficial. 5. The fllwing are prhibited: pckets (n tape allwed), sunglasses, hard billed hats, kntted bandanas, watches, earrings, and rings. FIELDS 1. 7v7 matches will typically be played at The Bear Branch Sprts Fields, lcated at 5205 Research Frest Drive n the allweather turf fields 1, 3, 4, & 5, depending upn the number f registered teams. Hwever, due t scheduling issues, league matches may be relcated t alternative fields (grass r turf) and/r lcatins x18 gals will typically be used fr all matches. In the event that standard gals are nt available then alternate gals (7 x21 ) will be utilized fr 7v7 matches. ADVICE TO PLAYERS 1. 4 2. The Wdlands Twnship prmtes a family friendly envirnment by taking a strng stance against ful and abusive language while n Twnship prperty. Excessive cursing, ffensive language, dergatry r racist cmments f any nature is prhibited and will be subject t disciplinary actin by League Officials. 3. Players will be held accuntable fr their cnduct prir t and fllwing their matches in reference t unsuitable behavir. The League Crdinatr/Specialist may address this cnduct with further sanctins (suspensins) as deemed necessary. 4. Verbal abuse f players and/r League Officials will nt be tlerated and may result in serius disciplinary actin. 5. Direct and Indirect Free Kicks If the referee s arm is raised, he is indicating an indirect free kick. If the referee s arm is nt raised, he is indicating a direct free kick. 6. On kickffs the player making first cntact with the ball may nt tuch the ball a secnd time until it is tuched by anther player. Als, players may nt crss the mid-line until the ball is kicked. EXCEPTIONS TO THE LAWS OF SOCCER Please nte that The Wdlands Twnship s Seven-a-Side Sccer League adpts the latest FIFA Laws in cnjunctin t the additinal Twnship Rules and Regulatins listed belw. The exceptins t the Laws f Sccer have been implemented t make the game less intense, less dangerus, and s that we may all enjy the matches n Sunday and return t wrk n Mnday. 1. The hme team shall pssess the ball first; there shall be n cin flip. 2. When a player receives a yellw card they must be immediately subbed ut f the match fr a minimum f five minutes. If there are n substitute players available fr the team, the team will play shrt ne player, fur ttal players, until the referee allws the carded player t return t the game. A team is nt allwed t play shrt with any less than fur players. If an additinal yellw card is given and drps the number f players n the field t three, the match will end and the scre will stand The referee may add additinal time t this suspensin due t delay f game tactics and the team will return t full strength at the referee s discretin. 3. Slide Tackles are prhibited and will result in a mandatry yellw card. Slide tackles by any player (galie included) are prhibited n any area f the field, fr any reasn. Restart shall be a direct kick. A slide tackle is an attempt t take the ball away frm an ppnent typically by sliding alng the grund. Hwever, fr the purpses f the intent t create a safe playing envirnment a tackle where a player challenges an ppnent fr the ball while n the grund fr any reasn (t include a knee n the grund with an utstretched leg) will be deemed a slide tackle and will be sanctined per the rules f the cmpetitin. A slide is an attempt t play the ball while n the grund when the ball is nt in pssessin f an ppnent and there is n ther ppnent within in a range the referee deems wuld make the ball ptentially playable by the ppnent. The intent is t allw fr a player t slide in the nrmal curse f cllecting a ball (t stp a gal r ball ging ut f play fr example). Any slide which is initiated t attempt an ppnent frm playing the ball shall be deemed a slide tackle and sanctined accrdingly. A slip is typically a result f being ff balance r field cnditins and ften leads t a challenge that meets the criteria f a slide tackle. In the spirit f safety first slips will be cnsidered either a slide tackle r a slide based n the criteria utlined 4. Penalty-kicks shall be taken ten (10) yards frm the gal line. Free-kicks shall be taken at ten (10) yards. During Freekicks, defending players shall be at least ten (10) yards frm the ball r the gal line. 5. Drp-kicks, punts, r thrws made by the galkeeper immediately after cllecting the ball, free-kicks takenfrm inside the penalty area, and gal-kicks must be tuched by a player befre the ball crsses the mid-line. If a player des nt tuch the ball befre crssing the midline it will be cnsidered a ful and the restart will be an indirect free kick where the ball crssed the midline. The galkeeper may, after cllecting the ball with hands, play the ball t his wn feet and then kick the ball acrss the mid-line after he r she has prceeded with the ball utside the penalty area. If the gal keeper plays the ball withut handling the ball, he may pass the ball acrss the mid-line since he is playing the same as a field player. 6. A gal may nt be scred directly frm a sht taken by a player in his defensive half f the field. The restart shall be a gal-kick. 7. A sht taken when any part f the ball is inside the gal area (4 yard bx) will be ruled a ful and the restart will be a gal kick. Players are allwed t dribble and pass inside the gal area, but they are nt allwed t sht while inside this prhibited area. 5 8. Substitutins may be made with the permissin f the referee prir t any restart. 9. Shin guards must be wrn at all times during match play. 10. The kickff des nt have t g frward. 11. The ff-side law shall nt apply. EXCEPTIONS TO THE LAWS OF SOCCER CO-ED 1. The six field players may cnsist f mre than three wmen, but n mre than three men. 2. The gal keeper may be a man r a wman; the gal keeper is nt a field player 3. All female player gals are wrth 2 pints & all male gals are 1 pint 4. Male players are required t use skill nt frce when challenging female ppnents fr the ball; charging at a female is nt allwed. 5. Disciplinary Cards: If a female player is sent ff the number f players fr that team must be reduced by the male gender. Unless the team is able t maintain 3 female field players. 6. When a team is playing shrt due t cautins r ejectins, any female player substituted may nly be replaced by a female player. DISCIPLINARY 1. The League Crdinatr/Specialist retains the authrity t remve and/r suspend any player/individual frm the league based n their behavir while n The Wdlands Twnship s prperty. 2. Match fficials have the authrity t issue cards t any registered player wh is present (regardless f whether they have signed the match reprt) as deemed necessary t maintain cntrl f a match. Furthermre, registered individuals will be subject t all league disciplinary rules. 3. Match fficials have the authrity t send ff any nn-registered cach r spectatr as deemed necessary in rder t maintain cntrl f the match. Furthermre, these individuals may be subject t additinal disciplinary measures as seen fit by the League Crdinatr/Supervisr. 4. The fficial reprt f each game shall be reviewed by the League Crdinatr/Supervisr with authrity t discipline fr fficial cautins and ejectins. 5. Verbal abuse by any individual will nt be tlerated and may result in disciplinary actin as deemed necessary. 6. Any team r player making an appeal t the League Crdinatr/Specialist must send an n later than tw business days after the event tk place (the Tuesday fllwing the match). 7. There will be abslutely NO DRINKING OF ALCOHOL prir r during a match. Vilatin f this rule will result in an equivalent red card (current game and next game) suspensin. Please remember that glass (bttles) is nt allwed within any f The Wdlands Twnship s parks. 8. Clearing the bench r fights invlving tw r mre players frm the same team will autmatically frfeit/abandn the match. The League Crdinatr retains the authrity t suspend and/r disband any team in these instances. Players n a disbanded team may be eligible fr reinstatement by the league under the fllwing stipulatins: i. Serve apprpriate league suspensin ii. Agree t stipulatins put frth in league reinstatement plicy. 9. Disciplinary Cards: Yellw/Cautin and Red Cards are cumulative ver a ne seasn perid which includes league playffs and acrss divisins Yellw and Red Cards may be issued frm arrival t the field until departure. In rder fr a suspensin t be served, the player must miss the full week f matches i. One week suspensin is equivalent t ne full day f matches, regardless f divisin Three disciplinary cards in a seasn shall result in an autmatic ne week suspensin. Fur disciplinary cards in a seasn shall result in an autmatic tw week suspensin. Five disciplinary cards in a seasn shall result in an autmatic suspensin f the remainder f the current seasn. Any red card received fr tw cautin cards (Cde E-7) in a single match will result in a ne week suspensin and cunt twards the ttal card accumulatin as tw cards. Hence a player receiving an additinal disciplinary card will be suspended fr ne week. 6 i. Tw Red Cards an additinal ne week suspensin fr a ttal f tw ii. Three Red Cards suspensin fr the remainder f the seasn. Cards are cumulative thrughut divisins. Any player receiving cards in multiple divisins is subject t the guidelines stated abve. 10. Suspensins: Ejectins frm a match invlving Cdes: E-1 (serius ful play) E-2 (vilent cnduct) & E-3 (spitting) shall result in a minimum tw week suspensin t be reviewed by the League Crdinatr wh retains the authrity t levy additinal disciplinary actin as deemed necessary. i. Based n severity a player receiving an ejectin fr fighting (Cde E-2) may be suspended at the discretin f the League Crdinatr based n the fllwing criteria: Vilent Cnduct twards a player minimum 1 seasn suspensin. Vilent Cnduct twards an fficial minimum 1 year suspensin. Reinstatement Plicy Any player suspended fr an extended perid (anything abve a league minimum) may be subject t reinstatement n a prbatinary status and must agree t and sign the reinstatement plicy set frth by the League Crdinatr. i. The stipulatins set frth in the reinstatement plicy vary frm each individual and are dependent upn the severity f the incident resulting in suspensin and player s disciplinary histry. Ejectins fr all ther cdes shall result in a ne match suspensin. Any crssver player wh receives a red card shall be suspended frm all league play until they have served the apprpriate suspensin in the divisin in which the Red Card was received. i. Crssver players must sit ut the full week f matches in rder t serve their suspensin, regardless f the divisin in which the card was received ii. Crssver players are NOT permitted t return t cmpetitin n the same day that a suspensin is being served. All matches regardless f time r divisin must be missed in rder t fulfill suspensin All suspensins will be carried ver int subsequent seasns if necessary. i. Players d nt receive credit twards their suspensin perid fr matches in which their team des nt participate. A player receiving a Red Card must leave The Wdlands Twnship s prperty within 4 minutes r the match will be frfeited by his/her team and that player may be subject t additinal suspensin at the discretin f the League Crdinatr/Specialist. ALL-WEATHER TURF RULES T preserve the quality f the turf and t prvide a clean and healthy envirnment, the fllwing are prhibited n the allweather turf surface. 1. Tbacc prducts (smke and smkeless) 2. Dgs r animals, service animals excluded 3. Fd r beverages (water excluded) including gum, seeds, nuts, and sprts drinks 4. Chairs, stakes, spikes, r ther pinted materials 5. Use f mdel planes 6. Metal cleats 7. N mtrized vehicles permitted, except fr maintenance vehicles 8. Bikes, rller blades, skatebards, and strllers 9. Fields are nt permitted t be used if ice is present 10. Only players, caches, and League Officials are permitted n the field. WEATHER PROCEDURES In the event f rain, matches will be played as scheduled. If thunder r lightning is present, matches will be immediately delayed 30 minutes at each sighting r sund f thunder r lightning. The League Crdinatr/Specialist will have the final say in the start/delay f matches. In the event f thunder/lightning delays; all spectatrs and players must exit the fields fr their safety until given the all clear by the League Crdinatr/Specialist In the event matches are delayed beynd ne hur, the League Crdinatr/Specialist will cancel all remaining matches and reschedule them fr a later date.
