The Pigeon Forge Rod Run! I ve heard about this show for many years, specifically when I lived in Tennessee in the past, however, I ve never had been lucky enough to attend this show.

3 The Pigeon Forge Rod Run! I ve heard about this show for many years, specifically when I lived in Tennessee in the past, however, I ve never had been lucky enough to attend this show. But 2014 is pretty much a done deal. It s on the calendar and on my bucket list. For 2013 my good friends Wayne and Cody McDowell got to go and were nice enough to capture some of their favorites from the show. Cody is the son of Wayne and I ve known them for years. Friends like this are an integeral part of the success that I ve had with the magazine. They take time out of their busy schedules to contribute to the magazine. Guys, consider yourselves invited to the next big blow out we have in the Blue Grass State in the summer of The Pigeon Forge Rod Run has been going on for years and is just one big cruise on the strip of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There are hot rods, muscle cars, cool trucks and everything in between that show up to Cruise The Strip in the fall. Anyone who has ever been to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee knows exactly what I m talking about. Pigeon Forge is located at the base of the Smokey Mountains. There is tons of stuff to do from shows, shopping, and everything in between. There are literally tons of great places to eat and the southern hospitality is second to none. If you ve never been, hop in the hot rod and cruise on out and enjoy a long weekend with beautiful fall colors and crisp fall temperatures! See you in 2014!!!! WMM 4 5

6 This cool 57 Chevrolet drop top is customized to the max as you can see here. Late model FI engines are very reliable and a good choice for a restomod! As you can see here the craftmanship is top notch. The interior features bright red leather with stainless trim! Very tasteful!

(top) I m so glad that large wheels were not just a fad for a period of time, they seem to have lasted for probably a decade thus far. (top) Well pink hot rods are cool, I ve seen plenty that belong to women! Would any of the guys drive a pink hot rod? (bottom) The stripes on this Nova are wild and loud. Temperatures are normally in the 80 s to 90 s this time of year and has a great venue for the fans to enjoy.

11 The Texas Motorplex located in Ennis, Texas is the home of the Texas AAA Fall Nationals. This event takes place in mid September and features some of the best racing that the NHRA has to offer. Temperatures are normally in the 80 s to 90 s this time of year and has a great venue for the fans to enjoy. The Mello Yellow Drag Racing series is in full swing this time of the year and the points are crucial. On that Sunday in September, my buddy Asa and I, (with pit passes and tickets in hand) drove North on I-35 to enjoy a day of sun, nitro methane and burnt rubber. 12 Courtney Force s Traxxas Funny Car! Female drag racers are my favorites! Courtney has put the smack down on many of the male racers and has certainly made a name for herself in the sport. Here is the weekend home of Top Fuel Racer The Sarge Tony Shumacher. Tony finished the 2013 season in 7th place. The AMRY car is certainly a force to be recokened wtih.

13 Here is the weekend home of Top Fuel Racer The Sarge Tony Shumacher. Tony finished the 2013 season in 7th place. The AMRY car is certainly a force to be recokened wtih. I love it when Tony wins a race, he s always very thankful for our men and women in the armed services. The certainly do their jobs all over the globe so Tony has the freedom to race and we have the freedom to enjoy long weekends watching

She lives in Austin, Texas and gives the guys a run for their money in the Funny Car class where she frequently races her good friend Cortney Force. I m also aware that off track Alexis has some really cool hot rods of her own that she can cruise around when she s not behind the wheel of this one

It s always great when you are out of town and your friends make you aware of car shows that you wouldn t have otherwise know about. This trip home was no different.

16 It s always great when you are out of town and your friends make you aware of car shows that you wouldn t have otherwise know about. This trip home was no different. With the power of social media and a friend that works at Charlie s Harley Davidson in Huntington, WVA, she made me aware of a car and bike show at the dealer. So, of course I had to check it out and I m glad I did! Dad and I hopped in the Impala and headed to Huntington. When we got there, you see what we saw. A state of the art Harley Davidson dealership. The showroom was filled with all kinds of cool Harley s, and the street out front was filled with bikes of all shapes and sizes and a hand full of muscle cars and hot rods from around the Tri-State area. Thanks for the heads up Michelle!! WMM

This is one cool ride, setting low over a round of wide whites that wrap black steelies and come cool lake pipes. The Huntington Hell Razor was setting on the blacktop out front of Charlie s Harley Davidson. The look is pretty sinister!

Power came from a Buick 455. Here we have a super nice straight El Camino SS.

19 You don t see many cool Buick s like this one too much at car shows. As you can see, he has stock buick wheels with raised white letters and a slick paint job. Power came from a Buick 455. Here we have a super nice straight El Camino SS. The paint was mile deep black with white striped on the cowel induction hood. White letters and American 5 spokes are very apprpriate!

The bright blue paint is covered very tastefull silver flames.

As I set here in our temporary location completing this month s Christmas Issue, I reflect on the 2013 show season. What a great year it has been, tons of great shows, cool cars and the awesome people who own them. There has been a lot going on this year, we attended some of the BEST events that The Lonestar State had to offer, we covered some NHRA Nitro infused drag racing, and we made the difficult decision to move out of Texas and back closer to our family. Even though the idea for this magazine originated in Iowa, the roots for the magazine were laid in Texas! We here at Wolf Motorsports Magazine thank everyone in Texas for the support, the opportunities to grow and the long lasting friendships that were developed. We also thank all of the readers, subscribers and followers worldwide. Without ya ll I wouldn t be in the process of living my dream!!!
