10 4. Electronics Validation: Example of BCM HIL Both manual and completely automated test bench was designed based on the below architecture. Interface Hardware designed by IDIADA connected between the Chassis & the DUT: Simulates vehicle level inputs to the DUT Simulates vehicle level loads (High & Low current outputs of the DUT) IDIADA designed HMI & Application software for testing: Intuitive HMI interface for manual testing using Lab view (NI) Detailed automated testing using Test stand (NI) DUT / ECU: Body Control Module Chassis from NI ( Input / Output Measurement / Control ): Generates inputs to the ECU by commanding the Interface HW Detects output states of the ECU via the interface HW Programmable Power Supply: To simulate vehicle level power supply to the DUT/ECU Personal Computer: To command the chassis via IDIADA s Software To read output of the ECU via IDIADA s Hardware

Innovation Projects - Intelligent Transport Systems Intelligent Transport Systems V2X Communication - TS Prototype Cooperative ITS has the potential to improve traffic safety, increase traffic management efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of road traffic. Cooperative communication OBU is based on WAVE or IEEE802.11p technology. Different applications could be implemented with this technology such as safety or electric vehicle specific applications.
