Oct. 20 event looking for individuals with 40 s and 50 s era cars to be at their event at the KC Museum in the Neon Courtyard. Butch Brown is major sponsor, got band scheduled, got sound piped throughout downtown, American Graffiti show at Fox on one day, Crystal Palace on one day. Date is set for May 18, 19, & 20 of Super Cruise 2017 Date set, Sat., March 11, Will be a 2- day event with Super Import Cruise 17 on Sun., March 12. Heard from Mike Hatcher and all is good for He is asking for more space for our area (Budweiser Pavilion). Super Import Cruise 2017 Date set, Sun., March 12, Hosted by BCCC Import Committee Need commitments for the following tasks: Registration Parking Mopars/GEM Raffle Tehachapi Car Club 50/50 Sponsor and Merchant Plaques --BCCC Calendar Work in progress. Club Status: --Street Dreams: Going to A & W in Visalia. --Explicit Cruizerz: Planning Club has been doing stuff with Social Disruption, Mustangs and a couple classics. --Chevy Classics: Finalizing the show for Oct. 16. Pre-register by Oct. 1 to be in a drawing for a 42 flat screen TV. Giving out (53) plaques this year. --Small Town Cruizers: Another show at Calvary Chapel is coming up. Had (170) cars at their show. Reconditioned a gas pump and coke machine that will be raffled off on Sept Family Dreamz Car Club: NEW club. Getting members, any kind of cars welcome classic, low riders, imports. Club is family oriented. Urban Royalty: Going to all the meet-ups, Krispy Kreme Cars & Coffee. Got accepted to show in LA at Dodger Stadium. Central Valley Mustang Club: Couple more weeks and our show will be here. Have a Jeep category if they want it. O Reilly is sponsoring us--have their own trophy division to make them for you. Golden Empire Mustangs: Going to Bill Brannon show and another group is going down to Galpin show on the 18th, Kern Co. Raceway Park s Jim Burke night, First Responders event, Beach Boys concert, Driving clinic, Parade laps at Rensport and club elections are coming up. Mopars of Bakersfield: Picnic raised money ($450) for Ronald McDonald, Summer BBQ, First Responders (liked buffet set up!), Kern Co Raceway Park s 9/11 tribute opening ceremonies and parade lap, Bishop Fall Colors car show. OFCC: Old Fart s underground garden, Atascadero car show, 4th of July parade. Outlawz: Working on upcoming annual Toy Drive in December, GEM is working with them also on this event like last year. Outlawz is the biggest independent contributor of KMC. Kern General is going to be making up some flyers. They will be putting out toy boxes around town in November. If you/your business is interested in displaying one of these collection toy boxes, let them know! Toy Drive is a free event and is on rain or shine. --Tehachapi Car Club: Went to Solvang. Going to Bishop. Club rotten chicken award going to be handed out THREE times for Solvang show! Old Business: --Non-Profit status approved for BCCC, Inc. New Business: --Vote on BCCC charity for Motion was made to continue designating the Society for Disabled Children of Kern County as the BCCC s charity. Motion was made by Janniel Gonzales/Explicit Cruizerz; seconded by Val Miller/Mopars. Vote was taken, all in favor. Note: Import Committee also voted to designate the SDC as their main charity for 2017 Super Cruise event. --Vote was taken to accept having an appreciation plaque made to give to Ken & Pat Kisor (cofounders of the BCCC) as they are moving out of state in October. Motion was made to approve by Butch Brown/Street Dreams Car Club; seconded by Kenneth Cleveland/Chevy Classics of Bakersfield. All in favor. --October BCCC meeting date reschedule. Chris and Bette Addington will be gone. It was discussed and decided to stay on Mon., Oct. 10 for the October BCCC meeting. Larry will conduct the meeting. Someone needs to take the minutes.
