The Jays will play seven games in as many days on the left coast against AL West competition three against Seattle and four against Oakland. Blue Jays Communications Contact: Mal Romanin will be traveling with the team and will be available by (mal.romanin@bluejays.com) or cell phone (416) >>>Blue Jays 2006 July Schedule >>>Blue Jays 2006 August Schedule IN THE NEWS WHAT S UP DOG? JACK FM S DOG DAY SET FOR SUNDAY They say every dog has its day. Apparently that day is this Sunday when the Blue Jays and 92.5 JACK FM present the fourth edition of Dog Days of Summer at Rogers Centre. As in years past, the day will feature a special pregame parade for all registered pooches along the outfield warning track led by special hosts Sean McCormick of Rogers Sportsnet and Jennifer Hedger of TSN. Once the game begins the dogs and their owners will settle back in to the Dog Zone located in the 100 Level seats beyond the right field wall. There is a new feature added to this year s program. The Late Show will have representatives on site to conduct auditions for their popular Stupid Pet Tricks segment. The Late Show has been traveling to a number of Major League ballparks this season for Dog Days hosted by different clubs to recruit dynamic dogs to show off on David Letterman s stage. Dog Day t-shirts will be available for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Ontario SPCA, along with a portion of ticket sales for this special event. Those tickets cost $26.00, but, of course, dogs get in for free. It is their day, after all.

>>>Blue Jays 2006 Special Events EAST SIDE MARIO S CAPS OFF THE MARINERS SERIES WITH A GIVEAWAY East Side Mario s will be making its Major League debut this weekend at Rogers Centre. The American- Italian eatery with over 100 locations across Canada has signed on as a corporate partner of the Blue Jays Baseball Club and stands as the title sponsor of this Sunday s baseball cap giveaway. The cap in question, presented to the first 10,000 fans to arrive at Rogers Centre, is a trucker-style hat. It features the Blue Jays logo embroidered on a black foam front panel, with white plastic mesh around the sides and back. The East Side Mario s Blue Jays Cap will be fully adjustable. >>>Blue Jays 2006 Giveaways Schedule TOURIST ATTRACTION: JAYS & TOURISM TORONTO HOST SPECIAL EVENT FOR VISITORS On the final day of this homestand, the Blue Jays will team with Tourism Toronto to celebrate the millions of tourists who visit the city every year. The game has been designated as Welcome to Toronto Day presented by Tourism Toronto. Tourism Toronto partners including among others Joe Badali s, Crowne Plaza Toronto Don Valley and the Toronto Aerospace Museum will set up shop on the 100 concourse with giveaways and activities. It s certainly fitting this date has been staged to coincide with a New York Yankees game. Thousands of visitors from upstate and western New York plan visits to Toronto around each and every Jays Yankees series. A MOVER & A SHAKER: FERNANDEZ & MOSEBY RETURN FOR FLASHBACK FRIDAYS The events surrounding the two editions of Flashback Fridays presented by The FAN 590 in this upcoming homestand will be very similar. But the personalities featured couldn t possibly be any different. On the first Friday, the gregarious fast-talking Lloyd Moseby will step into the spotlight. The following week the quiet and introspective Tony Fernandez will return, no doubt somewhat uncomfortable with the fuss and attention his visit warrants. The Shaker patrolled centre field for Toronto at a time when the Blue Jays first began shaking things up in the old AL East division. Picked second overall in the 1978 draft by the Blue Jays, Moseby went on to form what many suggested was the best outfield in baseball at the time, lining up between George Bell and Jesse Barfield. While he didn t receive the accolades or make the same number of All- Star appearances as Bell and Barfield, Moseby was a key contributor in the Club s run to its first divisio title. He also left his mark on the Blue Jays record book, ranking among the all-time leaders in a number of categories, including hits (3 rd with 1,319), runs scored (2 nd with 768) and stolen bases (1 st with 255). No player, Moseby included, has ever appeared in more games (1,450) or collected more hits (1,583) for the Blue Jays than Tony Fernandez. A four-time All-Star and Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner with the Jays, Fernandez capped his career in Toronto with a World Series championship ring. Fernandez batted.333 with nine RBI in the 1993 series victory over Philadelphia. In his retirement, Fernandez has dedicated himself to supporting under-privileged children through his charitable

foundation. For more on the Tony Fernandez Foundation, please be sure to visit Moseby and Fernandez will both take part in autograph signings on the 100 Level concourse and will be recognized in on-field ceremonies during the game. Here is a look at Toronto s All-Stars by the numbers. 15 The number of home runs Alex Rios has hit this season in 270 at bats. Prior to this season, the former number one pick had just 11 home runs in 907 at bats. Rios needs just six RBI and four doubles to match his career bests. 24 The number of saves recorded by B.J. Ryan, the most of any Jays pitcher prior to the All- Star break. Ryan is averaging 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings. 5 The number of multi-homer games recorded by Vernon Wells in the first half of this season. Prior to this year, Wells had never recorded more than three multi-homer games in any full season. The Blue Jays now hold a 13-2 record in the 15 games in which Wells has homered The home runs to at bat ratio posted by Troy Glaus in the first half of the season, with 23 long balls in 311 at bats. By comparison, Glaus posted a 14.5 home run ratio a year ago when he clubbed 37 long balls for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Glaus is on pace to hit more than 40 home runs in a season for the third time in his career (and for the first time since 2001).

24-6, 2.66 The win-loss record and ERA of Roy Halladay, combining the 18 starts he s made this season with the 19 he made last season prior to the All-Star break, roughly the equivalent of one full year. His combined totals in 2005 & 2006 are eerily similar those posted in his 2003 Cy Young-winning season, as demonstrated below. The proceeds from this year's gala have been earmarked for Field of Dreams. The Jays Care Foundation has partnered with the City of Toronto Parks & Recreation division on this project to restore and upgrade baseball diamonds in high needs areas around the city. Improvements have been made in past years to diamonds in Moss Park, Regent Park and Riverdale Park and in more recent months in Forest Manor and Sunnydale Acres. Joining Hatch and Yates as minor league stars are: Wayne Lydon (OF / Syracuse) Brandon League (RHP/Syracuse) Adam Lind (OF/New Hampshire) Ryan Patterson (OF/Dunedin) Jesse Litsch (RHP/Dunedin) Aaron Tressler (RHP/Lansing) Details on their June achievements are included in the individual team reports below. Syracuse (Class AAA) Record: Place in the Standings: 6 th, 11.5 GB

Player Spotlight: Wayne Lydon and Brandon League were selected as the Syracuse Stars of the Month for June. Lydon led all SkyChiefs with four triples, 13 walks and 17 runs scored in the month. Only Chad Mottola (38) had more hits in June than Lydon (33). League, recently placed in the closer s role, responded with five saves and a 1.50 ERA in ten appearances in June. League gave up ten hits and two runs in his 13.0 IP. New Hampshire (Class AA) Record: Place in the Standings: 5 th, 14.5 GB Player Spotlight: Kyle Yates is making the most of his second chance in New Hampshire, earning Organizational Pitcher of the Month honours for June. Yates began the season with the Fishers, but was demoted to Syracuse after suffering losses in all four of his April starts. Returning to Manchester at the end of May, Yates has since gone 5-1 with a complete game. Adam Lind was also selected as a Minor League Star, his fourth such award in the ten months in which he s been eligible for the award. Lind batted.347 with five homers and 24 RBI in the month and ranks among the Eastern League leaders in each of those categories. Dunedin (Class A Advanced) Record: 11-9 Place in the standings: 2 nd, 0.5 GB (First Half Division Winner) Player Spotlight: Ryan Klosterman and Jesse Litsch were selected as Dunedin s top player and pitcher respectively for June, each doing their part to help Dunedin nail down its first half division title and a spot in the playoffs. It s quite possible though neither player will be around to help Dunedin in the postseason. Litsch, who pitched to a 3-0 record with a shutout and a 1.06 ERA in June, made the jump to Class AA with New Hampshire in late June. Klosterman, who batted.319 with four homers and 12 RBI, received a similar promotion this last week. Lansing (Class A) Record: 9-12 Place in the Standings: 4 th, 7.0 GB (First Half Wild Card Winner) Player Spotlight: Anthony Hatch and Aaron Tressler were selected as Minor League Stars for Lansing, with Hatch getting additional honours as the Organizational Player of the Month. Selected in the 13 th round of the 2005 draft out of Nichols State, Hatch fell just shy of batting.400 for the month going.397 with three homers and 13 RBI. He s been making a habit of driving the ball, recording 10 doubles in 19 games in June, up from six in 26 games in May. Tressler, who began his minor league career as a closer with Pulaski in 2004, has become a dominant starter with Lansing this season, posting a 3-0 record with a 2.03 ERA in five starts in June. He struck out 36 batters in the month, while issuing just four walks. Auburn (Class A) Record: Place in the Standings: 4 th, 2.0 GB Player Spotlight: It sometimes becomes cliché to talk about the obstacles and adversity a player has to overcome in bidding for a job in the Major Leagues. But that s certainly not the case with blue Jays

minor leaguer Brian Hall. Drafted in 2004 out of Stanford, the highly regarded second baseman dominated in his professional debut batting.294 with ten home runs and 39 RBI for the Doubledays. In 2005, he was sidelined by shoulder surgery. But that soon became the least of his concerns. Plagued by fatigue and an ongoing sore throat, Hall was eventually diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Suddenly, Hall s life, let alone his dreams of playing in the big leagues, was placed in jeopardy. Hall has since made a recovery and has made a remarkable return to the Doubledays lineup. More remarkable still is that he s succeeding on the diamond, reaching base safely in each of his first ten games, hitting safely in all but two of those contests. >>>For more on Hall, please see Notable & Quotable Pulaski (Rookie Advanced) Record: 16-4 Place in the Standings: 1 st, 4.0 GA Player Spotlight: Pulaski is off to its best-ever start in their relatively short-lived tenure as a Jays affiliate. The P-Jays won 12 of their first 13 to start the season putting 98 runs across the plate (more than 7 per game), while surrendering just 48 in those games. To put their offensive brilliance in perspective, only one other club in the Appalachian League had scored more than 67 runs in that same time frame. Fueling the P-Jays attack has been outfielder Victor Santana, who smacked four home runs and collected 14 RBI through his first ten games. Santana clubbed a grand slam in a 7-6 win at Bristol on July 3. That blast came one night after Travis Snider hit a grand slam in the tenth inning of a 13-7 win at Kingsport. Snider has since added another grand slam. NOTABLE & QUOTABLE HALL OF FAME: BRIAN HALL MAKES INSPIRING COMEBACK FROM CANCER It was easier to get ready this year. I was just coming back and hoping to play again. I realized if it didn't work out, there are much worse things in life. I'm just happy I have the opportunity to play again. Two years ago, I was definitely worried that, hey, if I don't have a good year, I might get released, may not get a chance. And now, I'm just happy to be out here A lot of times, it's not that guys will take baseball for granted, but not realize the opportunity they have until they deal with an injury. That kind of made me realize how fortunate I was to play. Little did I know I was going to have the cancer. I'm very thankful to have an opportunity to play again. The organization has been great; staying with me, and letting me try and get healthy. I can't thank them enough. Auburn Doubledays second baseman Brian Hall, discussing his return from thyroid cancer, as told to Donnie Webb of the Syracuse Post-Journal You hate to see any young person, let alone a ballplayer, let alone a young child, come up sick and ill. But he was able to overcome it. I don't think the organization was going to push him or shove him out to a league. He hadn't played in a year. They're just going to take their time with him. I'm happy. I get Brian Hall. Who wouldn't enjoy that. Auburn Doubledays manager Dennis Holmberg on Hall s inspirational comeback
