4 PREPARING FOR THE TOURNAMENT TOURNAMENT LOCATIONS (Boise, ID): LODGING: GATE ADMISSION POLICY: Willow Lane Athletic Complex: 4623 W Willow Ln Ann Morrison Park: 1000 N Americana Blvd Fort Boise Park: 600 E Garrison Rd Refer to the Hotel Listing within this booklet for more details. Team members with ASA card/player pass will not be charged an admission fee when entering the complex. All players, coaches, and managers (up to a maximum of three (3) staff members per team) must present their passes when entering the complex. Teams must submit a Gate Pass and Team Practice Form to receive passes for players and staff. All players listed on official ASA rosters and up to three (3) coaches, managers, or staff members are classified as team members. Any person leaving the complex must have a hand stamp, ticket or tournament pass to reenter. ADMISSION FEES: ADMISSION FOR OFFICIALS: TEAM PICTURES: PIN EXCHANGE: General Tournament Pass (week long admission) $20; Senior (65+) and Youth (6-18), $18 at gate; Daily Pass $5. Children 5 and under, players & three (3) team staff are free. ASA officials who hold cards that state for the year 2015 are entitled to all privileges of the ASA, as prescribed by the ASA Code. Photos will be taken during the week of the tournament at all three (3) field locations, if applicable. Team members are encouraged to have pins of their team s logo or state to trade with players from other teams at opening ceremonies and during the week. 5 PROGRAM SUBMISSIONS: 5pm on Monday, July 13, 2015 Qualifying teams are required to submit a digital, color team photo and a team roster (including names, positions, and uniform numbers) to wperry@cityofboise.org before the deadline for inclusion in the official tournament program. Use the appropriate submission form and send all submissions electronically. Teams that do not have a team photo may send a team logo instead. Each picture must be.jpeg OR.JPG at least five inches in width at a minimum resolution of 300 ppi. Do not send color copies or printouts of photos. Photos and information received after the submission deadline may not be included in the program. PROGRAM ADS: Parents and others who wish to purchase ad space for a personal message in the tournament should submit a Tournament Program Personal Ad Order Form, fees, and any text or artwork no later than 5pm, Monday, July 13, Ads for which order form, fees, text, or artwork are received after the submission deadline may not be included in the program. Ads may be submitted as text, a photo, or both. Submit photo or artwork as.jpeg or.jpg at a minimum resolution of 300 ppi at actual size on CD or via (attachments no larger than 5MB). 23 HIGHLIGHTS OF TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS 2015 ASA FAST PITCH GIRLS A 14U W. NATIONAL OFFICIAL RULES: FORMAT: GAME TIMES: DUGOUTS: LINE-UP CARDS: INFIELD PRACTICE: OFFICIAL GAMEBALL: RUN RULE: All playing rules and regulations shall be governed by the ASA Official Rules of Softball, 2015 Edition. Two pool play games followed by double elimination bracket play. The game times will be listed on the official tournament bracket. Teams need to be prepared to play at the assigned time. Failure to do so may result in a forfeit. The team at the top of the bracket will use the first base dugout. The team at the bottom of the bracket will use the third base dugout. Tournament officials will provide official line-up cards for each team. An official line-up card must be submitted to the Official Scorekeeper at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game, at the coin toss, to determine the home team. The coin toss shall be completed by the Tournament Directors or site coordinator at each playing site. No infield practice is permitted during tournament play, and warmup is allowed only in designated areas. Hitting or pitching on the grass is strictly not allowed at any time. The official ball for the tournament will be the Dudley Thunder Heart, WT 12 Y FP, approved by the ASA Executive Director in accordance with the ASA Official Rules of Softball, 2015 Edition. A run rule of 15 after three (3) innings, 12 after four (4) innings, or 8 after five (5) innings shall be in effect (ASA Rule 5, Section 9). Page 21

24 HIGHLIGHTS OF TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS (cont d) 2015 ASA FAST PITCH GIRLS A 14U W. NATIONAL DRESS CODE: Players on a team shall properly wear uniforms that are alike in color, trim, and style (ASA Rule 3, Section 6, A-G). Coaches must be neatly attired and dressed alike or in a team uniform in accordance with the color code of the team. CONDUCT: PROTESTS: AWARDS: INCLEMENT WEATHER: Managers and coaches are expected to have complete control of their players both on and off the playing field in accordance with the ASA Official Rules of Softball, 2015 Edition. The tournament committee will rule on all protests. Proper protest procedures are included in ASA Rule 9. Awards shall be in accordance with Article 306 of the ASA Procedural Manual. In the event of inclement weather, the game must be resumed at the exact point where it was suspended. It is the manager s responsibility to report to the Tournament Director for rescheduling information. In the event the tournament cannot be completed within the scheduled timeframe, the official order of finish will be determined in accordance with Article 310 of the ASA Code, 2015 Edition. PARKING: No charge for parking at any complex. (Parking is included in tournament pass.) SOUVENIRS: Souvenirs will be available at the Willow Lane Athletic Complex. Page 22

NATIONAL PROHITBITED ITEMS: The following are prohibited in the softball complex, and an entry gate monitor will be stationed to ensure compliance. No animals or pets. Exception: Certified service animals. No heelies, large riding toys, or distracting noise-making toys or fireworks. ACTIVITIES PROHIBITED: No bicycling, skateboarding, or rollerblading. PROHIBITED: Use of any tobacco products or alcohol is not allowed in any of the softball complexes including all parking areas. Page 23
