5 Page 5 Exemplary Project Experiences SPORTS ARCHITECTURE (BallparkDesignAssociates 2010 to Present) BB&T Ballpark, Charlotte, NC Opening in Design Director for this 10,000-seat stadium and new home of the Charlotte Knights; Class AAA International League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Located in uptown (downtown) Charlotte, BB&T Ballpark includes a 360-degree walk-around concourse, 22 elevated private suites and 2 dugout-level suites, a stadium club lounge with fixed bar, and the Home Plate Club a unique, glass-enclosed club within the seating bowl behind home plate. The ballpark also features the Home Run Porch - an elevated viewing deck wrapping the right field corner and an expansive outfield concourse and with three entry plazas. Dow Diamond Stadium Club and Outfield Pavilion, Midland, MI Project designer for a new press box level club with fixed bar (added in 2011) and a new covered outfield large-group picnic pavilion (added for the 2013 season). Bricktown Ballpark Improvements Study, Oklahoma City, OK Designer for the planned stadium improvements to this 13,000-seat ballpark and current home of the Oklahoma City Redhawks; the Class AA Texas League affiliate of the Houston Astros. Planned improvements include a multitude of new small and large group picnic/party areas, upgrades to the seating bowl to include premium seating behind home plate, construction of an enclosed large group party building beyond the center field concourse, several new freestanding fixed bars, and upgrades to the existing stadium club and suite-level lounges. SPORTS ARCHITECTURE (While employed with Populous formerly HOK Sport, Venue, Event) TD Ameritrade Park, Omaha, NE Design Director for this 24,000-seat stadium and new home of the NCAA College World Series. The stadium, located in downtown Omaha, is the catalyst for expansive new downtown development of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment in the City s NoDo (North Downtown) development district. TD Ameritrade Park replaces historic Rosenblatt Stadium as the new home of the College World Series and will continue the 50-year Omaha-tradition for the next 25+ years with the NCAA. Designed to be the signature venue for the College World Series, the panicle of the student athlete experience, the stadium will also play host to Creighton University baseball, numerous concerts, and the United Football League. Parkview Field, Fort Wayne, IN Project Director for this 8,100-seat minor league baseball stadium and new home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps; Class A Midwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Located in downtown Fort Wayne, Parkview Field is part of the Harrison Square mixed-use development; including a 900- car parking garage for Lincoln Financial, a 200-room Marriott-flag hotel, a civic park, and a 60-unit condominium high-rise building overlooking the stadium just beyond the left foul pole. The stadium includes several unique seating and group party areas, including an elevated party deck above a conference center in the right outfield area. A 360-degree walk-around concourse and elevated private suite level encompass the stadium with revenue generating amenities and excitement. The stadium provides a number of facilities to host more than 250 non-baseball events each year. Arvest Ballpark, Springdale, AR Project Director for this 6,800-seat minor league baseball stadium and home for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals; Class AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. The stadium design includes the use of natural stone and an expansive shade canopy to provide a contextual image with a modern flare. The ballpark is an anchor for a 200-acre planned mixed use development that will include housing, commercial/retail and an arena. Arvest Ballpark was distinguished as Ballpark of the Year in 2008 by Ballparks.com an internet-based publishing company. Dow Diamond, Midland, MI Project Director for this 6,000-seat minor league baseball stadium and home of the Great Lakes Loons; Class A Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The stadium and team are the creation of the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a non-profit entity established to enhance the quality of life in Midland and the surrounding areas of Saginaw and Bay City. The stadium design includes a unique enclosable-concourse with overhead glass doors that provide weather protection during cold early-season games and an enclosed 20,000 square foot assembly space for use during the winter months for trade shows, exhibitions, and banquets. Actual wood-burning fireplaces and outfield berm fire pits provide warming stations on the 360-degree walk-around concourse.

6 Page 6 Coca-Cola Park, Allentown, PA Project Director for this 10,000-seat minor league baseball stadium and home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs; Class AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. A walk around the stadium is to experience references of a diverse Lehigh County. Historic Allentown building elements provide architectural context to the stadium exterior. Heavy steel framing of the main concourse and right field structures recall the steel industry past of neighboring Bethlehem, and the vista of pastoral views and rolling hills beyond the left field concourse express the agricultural base of the community, as well. Coca-Cola Park was distinguished as Ballpark of the Year in 2008 by Ballpark Digest, an internet-based publishing company. Riverwalk Stadium, Montgomery, AL Project Director for this 7,000-seat minor league stadium and home of the Montgomery Biscuits; Class AA Southern League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. Located in downtown Montgomery, the stadium incorporates an historic rail freight transfer building; utilizing the 3-story headhouse building for team administrative and ticket offices and retail store, and a 400-foot long two-story warehouse building as part of the main concourse housing concessions, restrooms and suites. The ballpark overlooks the Alabama River and Riverwalk Park and provides scenic views of the river and downtown skyline from the walkaround outfield concourse and berm seating. SPORTS ARCHITECTURE (While employed with HNTB Corp; ) 5 th /3 rd Field, Toledo, OH Project Director for this 10,000-seat minor league baseball stadium and new home to the renowned Toledo Mudhens, the Class AAA International League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. Located in downtown Toledo s historic district, 5 th /3 rd Field is designed to fit the challenging constraints of its urban site and be an exciting entertainment attraction for the area. The new ballpark includes 28 private suites, elevated party decks, and a variety of seating areas including The Roost, an elevated seating section in the right field corner. The ballpark also incorporates a neighboring historic building for the team offices, a retail store, and a restaurant. Louisville Slugger Field, Louisville, KY Project Director for this 12,000-seat minor league baseball stadium and new home to the Louisville Riverbats, the Class AAA International League affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Slugger Field is an integral component of the city s downtown redevelopment and waterfront park plan. The stadium features 26 private suites, extensive concession and restroom facilities, a children s play area and carousel, a wrap-around outfield concourse, and a variety of seating configurations including view-level balcony seating, a grass seating berm, an outfield grandstand bleacher, and an overlook deck. The ballpark also incorporates an historic rail freight building renovated for use as the team administrative offices and which also provides 22,000 square feet of restaurant/retail space with direct grade-level access to Main Street. 5/3rd Field, Dayton, OH Project Director for this 8,800-seat minor league stadium and new home of the Dayton Dragons, the Class A Midwest League affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Located in downtown Dayton, Fifth Third Field features a wrap-around outfield concourse, view-level balcony seating, 28 suites, elevated party decks, a grass seating berm, picnic and play areas, and The Dragon s Lair, a distinctive 300-seat section directly behind the right field corner. The ballpark also incorporates a 50,000 square foot public entry plaza complete with a full-size ball diamond infield and tree-lined seating terrace. (Note: 5 th /3 rd Bank is the naming rights sponsor for five minor league stadiums around the country.) Dunedin Spring Training Facilities Expansion and Replacement, Dunedin, FL Project Director for the expansion of the 10,000-seat main stadium and new spring training facility and home for the Toronto Blue Jays (MLB) and Dunedin Blue Jays (MnLB; Class A, Florida State League). The expansion of Dunedin Stadium included a new MLB player clubhouse, expanded stadium grandstand and press box facilities, new Blue Jay Team offices, new playing field and field lighting systems, new audio system, and new exterior fencing and graphics. The new spring training complex included replacement of the existing player clubhouse, replacement of existing practice fields including additional short fields and new fan circulation corridors, and new parking lot and site improvements. Oldsmobile Park, Lansing, MI Project Architect for this 10,000-seat minor league stadium and new home of the Lansing Lugnuts, the Class A Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Oldsmobile Park is designed

7 Page 7 to fit the narrow downtown site constraints of Lansing, Michigan. The ballpark features recessed playing field, grass seating berm, picnic and play areas, a unique pedestrian plaza, and extensive accommodations for the disabled. HEALTHCARE ARCHITECTURE (While employed with HNTB Corp; ) Via Christi (formerly St. Francis Regional Medical Center), Wichita, Kansas Senior Project, Project Designer for 28 healthcare-related projects, including: specialized designs for surgical suites, cardiac catheter procedure rooms, neonatal nursing units, labor and delivery suites, bone marrow transplant, intensive care, and psychiatric care. Project experience included facility master planning, cost estimating, code analysis, programming, design, construction documentation, and construction administration services. Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Clinic, Design Architect for a new outpatient clinic and medical office building in. Health Midwest Outpatient Clinic, Design Architect for a new outpatient clinic and medical office building in. Lees Summit Hospital Outpatient Clinic, Lees Summit, MO Design Architect for a new outpatient clinic and medical office building expansion to the Lees Summit Hospital in Lees Summit, MO. Research Medical Center Expansion, Design Architect for numerous interior renovations including outpatient care, neonatal care, cardiology, orthopedics, and gastroenterology. Trinity Lutheran Hospital Expansion, Design Architect for numerous building expansions including new emergency entrance, outpatient clinic, labor and delivery, cardiology, and radiology. HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND INSTITUTIONAL (While employed with Midgley Associates; ) Bunker/Stilwell Buildings Historic Preservation and Adaptive Reuse, Project Designer, Project Architect for the historic preservation and adaptive reuse of two of Kansas City s most endeared structures from the late 1800 s. Restoration included compliance with the National Parks Service and Historic Preservation Tax Credit requirements. The innovative adaptive reuse design included heavy timber restructuring, new vertical circulation, period interior design, and connecting these two adjoining buildings to provide approximately 200,000 square feet of commercial/retails space. The Stilwell Building is currently the home of the Kansas City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS Design Architect on several campus expansion and renovation projects, including: a new Office Classroom Building, elevated pedestrian bridge and courtyard, BNSF Train Simulator Classroom Building, several classroom renovations, a new tennis facility and a new print shop facility.
