Reality Oriented Physical Experiences Program provides an outdoor educational environment that develops the skills of an effective communicator, competent problem-solver, selfdirected learner and responsible citizen. Participants are taught these skills through warm-up games, initiatives and low and high challenge course elements while being guided by a trained facilitator. The level of participation is voluntary at all times. Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from camp. Students will need to dress for the weather and bring plenty of water for the day s activities. T-shirts will be ordered for those registered by the deadline and distributed at the camp. Registrants who miss the deadline will receive their t-shirts mid-july. Registration Information: Make checks/money orders payable to CFISD-ROPES. Please mail or drop off the completed registration form along with payment to the Office of Community Programs located at the Cy-Fair Annex at Northwest Freeway, Cypress, TX There is a drop box located on the west side of the building for after-hours drop off. Parents/guardians will receive a confirmation along with a waiver that must be brought with the student on the first day of camp. Sunday April 12, 2015 HORSE BOY METHOD/ HORSE BOY LEARNING DEMo Rupert Isaacson and HALTER will be showing how to work with autism, ADD, ADHD, PTSD and all other neuropsychiatric conditions in two ways: with the horse (Horse Boy Method) and without the horse in a home environment (Horse Boy Learning) which any parent or professional can learn to supplement their child s education really effectively. Our six stage process has been studied at the University Of Texas School Of Education and is currently part of studies at Belmont University, Gothenburg University Sweden, and University of Bologna in Italy and is partnering with the University of Osnabrueck and the Goethe Institute in Germany. Although it evolved through treatment of autism the approaches have now been developed not just for other neuro sensory conditions but also for teaching in normal classrooms.
