2 PARENT ANNOUCEMENTS: Parents: It s Red Ribbon Week at CHS! Do you know that children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don t, yet only a quarter of teens report having these conversations! Keep the conversation going with your child and take a stand against drugs and alcohol use! Parents, are you interested in giving your student the opportunity to Study Abroad? If so, Julia Ibold will be in our library on Monday, October 29 th, during 2 nd lunch starting at 1:40 p.m. to give a presentation on admission requirements among other important information. If you cannot make that time, she will also be at Central Office Room # 134 at 6:00 p.m. Please see attached for more information. Our cafeteria will be serving a Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 8 th during both lunches. The following menu will be served on the Serving Line only. Students will have one choice between the 3 entrees listed below: Entrée Choices: Turkey Roast; Chicken Nuggets; Pizza (Pepperoni Combo or Cheese): Your entrée choice will also be served with the following: Mashed Potatoes & Gravy Cornbread Dressing Cranberry Sauce Green Beans Wheat Roll Ice Cream Cup (Free with meal only) Fruit
3 New Senior Off-Campus Lunch Stickers will be distributed Nov 1 st and Nov 2 nd (Thurs & Fri) during both lunches Senior Portrait Retake will be held on Monday, November 5 th in the Auditorium. If your student was absent or you are new to our campus, please stop by the auditorium before school or during your lunch. We ask that the boys and girls follow the information below. Girls: Bring a cami or tube top for under the drape that we provide. The straps will need to be pulled down on your shoulders, so racer-back bras are not recommended. Also bring a simple necklace to add an extra special touch. We also suggest wearing lip gloss or balm as dry lips will show in the portrait. Bring the lip gloss along to your photo shoot for touch ups. Hair and makeup should be finished before you arrive at school that day. You will have time for touch ups only. Boys: Bring a white t-shirt for under the tuxedo shirt. We will provide the tuxedo shirt and jacket. Make sure you have a fresh shave. Orders will be taken after picture day. Teachers will submit the name of a student or two students that they feel exhibit any of the following characteristics and deserve campus recognition.
