1 CRUSADER OF THE WEEK! SEPTEMBER 10 TH, 2018 Lanz Beatriz (Gr. 6) is Crusader of the week because from the very first day of school, Lanz has been willing to do extra jobs around the classroom without being asked. He listens attentively and shows his manners at all times. Lanz is a great Crusader! Madison Kovacs (Gr. 9) is Crusader of the week because her positive, encouraging, and dedicated attitude are a great asset in our school. Madison comes to class punctually, ready to apply herself eagerlyin her work. She willingly helps others and provides support whether in class or in extracurricular activities such as cross country running. Madison s generosity and enthusiasm for excellence make her a great Crusader of the Week! SEPTEMBER 18 TH, 2018 Corbin Miller (Gr. 1) is Crusader of the Week because he comes to school every day with a smile on his face. He is always willing to help out in the classroom and has even joined the Jr. SRC. Corbin is a great friend to his classmates as well as everybody on the playground! He is a great Crusader! Hailey Hunt (Gr. 8) is Crusader of the Week because of her determination to excel, her helpfulness and avid participation in athletics. Hailey works independently, challenging herself above and beyond expectations while taking the time to help others. Her passion for reading inspires her peers. In sports, Hailey s drive and enthusiasm greatly contribute to the success of all our school teams at her level. Hailey is a great role model and an excellent Crusader! SEPTEMBER 24 TH, 2018 Dawson Chabot (Gr. 4) is Crusader of the Week because he is friendly and helpful to everyone in the classroom. Dawson has a very positive attitude and a great work ethic. He is a great Crusader! Aaron Gonzales (Gr. 7) is Crusader of the Week because his courteous, positive and businesslike attitude is an excellent example for all of us. Aaron respectfully collects our recycling, applying himself diligently, and avoiding disruptions. Aaron will always respond to greetings with a cheerful hello and a happy smile or a high five. He follows routines effectively. Aaron s determination to excel make him a great Crusader of the Week! OCTOBER 1 ST, 2018 Tyler Pomedli (Gr. 2) is Crusader of the Week because he is a great student. He is friendly and enthusiastic about all areas of school. Tyler is a good classmate and is always willing to help others. He is a great Crusader! Brandi Dressler (Gr. 11) is Crusader of the Week because she displays a good work ethic, dedication to the Sr. Girl s Volleyball team and a great sense of humour! Brandi is a caring and compassionate friend who never fails to make her friends laugh. She applies herself diligently in her school work and contributes effectively as a team member. Brandi is an excellent Crusader of the Week!
2 OCTOBER 9 TH, 2018 Marley Theis (Gr. 3) is Crusader of the Week because she is a respectful student. She works hard in class and helps-out her classmates and teachers. Marley is always engaged in lessons and follows directions; she is a great Crusader! Brock Bertrand (Gr. 8) is an exemplary Crusader of the Week because of his determination, sincerity, and involvement in school activities. Brock applies himself diligently in schoolwork, athletics, in other activities such as Me to We. He always treats others with respect and generously lends a helping hand whenever possible. Brock s trustworthy, considerate, and enthusiastic disposition make him a great role model in our school! OCTOBER 15 th, 2018 Rodge Calizo (Gr. 3) is Crusader of the Week because he has been a great example to his fellow classmates of what a hard worker is. Rodge follows instructions, works quietly, and is always willing to help others when he is done his work! Rodge is always respectful to students and teachers; he is a great Crusader to our school! Jorja Vedress s (Gr. 10) dedication towards her work and volleyball team are an excellent example of a Crusader of the Week. Jorja applies herself diligently in her work showing persistence when faced with challenges. Jorja has shown her commitment to the athletics by supporting her team consistently even though she was injured and unable to participate on the court. Thank you Jorja for being a great role model in our school! OCTOBER 23rd, 2018 Trinity Piatt (Gr. 5) is a great Crusader of the Week! She meets each new challenge with a positive attitude and her best effort. In addition to being a responsible and hard working student, Trinity is very helpful around the classroom. Most recently, she has committed to the recorder. She is always willing to give up her recesses to help her classmates master new songs. Trinity is a great Crusader! Neiah Bombita (Gr. 7) is an excellent Crusader of the week. Neiah is a quiet polite young lady who always puts in her best effort. She works well with anyone in her class and is always willing to lend a hand. Neiah challenged herself and joined the Junior Volleyball team this year! Keep up the fantastic work, Neiah! OCTOBER 29th, 2018 Cody Briens (Grade 1) is Crusader of the Week because he always comes to school smiling. He works hard to complete his school work and is a great helper in the classroom. Cody works with others to help his classmates problem solve and work through disagreements. Great job Cody! Dailyn Thorlakson (Grade 12) is Co-President of the SRC, he was one of the quarterbacks for the football team, he is a hardworking student, and a trustworthy friend. Dailyn is focused, determined, and always applies himself one hundred percent as he strives for excellence. His willingness to help whenever needed such as reffing as well as his caring manner is greatly appreciated by his teachers and fellow students. Dailyn s outstanding athletic ability and sportsmanship greatly contribute to our sports teams. Dailyn is an excellent role model in our school and a great Crusader of the Week!
3 NOVEMBER 5th, 2018 Anna Wielgosz (Grade 5) is Crusader of the Week because she works very hard in class and she is a conscientious student. She always has a positive attitude and she is very enthusiastic. Anna is willing to help her classmates with anything from the recorder to Math to Art. Other students often approach her when they need some extra help, she is a great Crusader! Taylor Eisner (Grade 12). Taylor s strong leadership in athletics, her commitment to her studies and her respectful manner make her an exemplary Crusader of the Week. Taylor was an excellent role model on the Senior Girls Volleyball team and contributed commendably in other school sports. Taylor consistently applies herself in her academics always striving to excel. Everyone feels valued and respected when interacting with her. We are fortunate to have Taylor s positive influence in our school! NOVEMBER 13th, 2018 Riene Dar (Grade 2) is Crusader of the Week because she is a model student. She is a true Crusader who always puts forth excellent effort and shows integrity in every situation. Riene is pleasant and kind and an awesome student. Keep up the great work, Riene! Jude Derla (Grade 12) Jude s amazing art work to recognize our soldiers has been published in an anthology to mark the 100 th anniversary of World War 1. Jude s attention to detail and his ability to represent the sacrifices for our country are outstanding! Jude also contributes to our Crusader athletics and keeps the classroom interesting. Congratulations, Jude! NOVEMBER 19th, 2018 Zack Hetchler (Gr.4): Zack is a very thoughtful and kind student. He often stays after school for a few minutes to be sure the classroom is neat and organized before leaving for the day. Zack works hard in all subject areas and is sure to complete his work thoroughly. Zack is a great crusader! Reese Mueller (Grade 8) Reese s predictable cheerful, caring, and conscientious qualities make her an excellent Crusader of the Week. Reese dedicates herself whole-heartedly to her studies, sports, and in looking out for others as a member of ME to WE or SRC. Her quiet, confident leadership was a great asset when she took on the captain s role for her volleyball team this season. You can always count on a smile from Reese to brighten your day. We are very fortunate to have her sincere, supportive example in our school. NOVEMBER 26th, 2018 Elizabeth Perrot (Gr.5). Elizabeth is a conscientious and hard working student who is always optimistic, upbeat and pleasant. She displays a very positive attitude toward learning. Elizabeth is always ready to help out her classmates and her teachers. She contributes greatly to grade 5 every day, she s a great role model!
4 Addison Leicht (Gr. 10). Addison s diligent attitude, pleasant disposition and her participation in school sports such as basketball make her an excellent Crusader of the Week. Addison takes responsibility for completing assignments and sees things through such as cleaning up in the kitchen. She is a gentle, caring, and fun-loving friend. It is great to have her in our school! DECEMBER 3rd, 2018 Love Mariano (Gr.5) Love is a dedicated student and a kind, considerate girl. She always does her best on her schoolwork and she is always willing to help around the classroom. Love gave 100% at every soccer practice and game this fall. She has a wonderful attitude and a smile to match, a great Crusader! Emilie Ferre (Gr. 11) Emilie is an outstanding student athlete. She is able to complete her academic work to a high standard while managing a busy athletic schedule. She works hard both on and off the court and displays positive sportsmanship when competing. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to both staff and friends! Emilie is a great role model! DECEMBER 10th, 2018 Olivia Perrot (Kindergarten). Olivia is an enthusiastic, smiley, nurturing student. We can depend on her to do whatever tasks need to be done in, and outside the classroom. Olivia has such a big heart, and is extremely helpful with her peers. Olivia does not even have to be asked to help, she just does it on her own. She is part of the zipper club in Kindergarten, and independently does her routines in class. Keep up the super, awesome work Olivia! Ervine Santiago (Gr. 9). Ervine s attentiveness, pleasant manner, and involvement in school sports are commendable. Ervine works diligently in everything that he undertakes. This past weekend, Ervine was selected as the Crusader s defensive player. He is very coachable, shows sportsmanship, treats others respectfully, and keeps a positive attitude. He is a top-notch Crusader of the Week. DECEMBER 17th, 2018 Aliyah LeJan (Grade 3). Aliyah is polite and respectful. She is helpful in class. She has a positive attitude and works hard on all of her work. Great job Aliyah! Luis Rosalin (Grade 11). Luis great involvement with sports, hard-working attitude, and respectful manner make him our Crusader of the Week. Luis participates passionately in many of our school sports, he supports other athletes, and he has volunteered to help Mrs. Bauml coach the Grades 3-5 basketball team. In class, he is inquisitive, striving to clearly comprehend his work. Luis drive for excellence is impressive!
5 JANUARY 14th, 2019 Maya Chase (Grade 1): Maya always comes to school with a smile on her face. She gives her full attention to her schoolwork as well as looks for ways to go above and beyond with her academics. She is also very helpful within the classroom and looks for ways to help her peers. Great job Maya on being this week's Crusader! Layne Stewart (Grade 10) Layne s dedication to sports and his focus in class make him an excellent Crusader of the Week. Layne is a positive, teammate on school teams such as Track and Field, soccer, football, and basketball. He works hard at practices, and he maintains an upbeat attitude. He also plays hockey. Layne s hard work, cooperation and perseverance are commendable! JANUARY 21st, 2019 Antoni Lorca (Gr.3). Antoni is polite and respectful. He always volunteers to do jobs around the classroom and help his classmates if they need it. He has a bubbly, positive attitude and works hard on all of his work. Great job Antoni! Dawson Kessir (Grade 9). Dawson s consistent efforts in class and in sports are admirable. Dawson applies himself persistently and treats others with respect. He works hard to excel in several school sports such as Track and Field, soccer, football, and basketball. He is a positive, exemplary teammate. Dawson is a great Crusader of the Week! JANUARY 28th, 2019 Evelette Theis (Gr.4). Evelette is a great friend to her classmates and always makes an effort to be sure no one feels excluded. She helps students who might need a little extra help and is very patient as a helper. She is a thoughtful student who works hard to stay focused and get her work done. Evelette is a great role model to other students, especially when it comes to caring for others. Princess Dacanay (Gr. 7). Princess is a diligent student who has worked hard to improve her marks and assignments in term two. She actively participates in class and is willing to help her fellow classmates. Princess is respectful and her positive attitude makes her a great Crusader of the week. Congratulations, Princess! FEBRUARY 4th, 2019 Hannah Martin (Gr.6). Hannah is attentive in class, she has a great work ethic, and she is always willing to help others should the need arise. Hannah always gives everything 100% and is a great Crusader! Bennett Puetz (Grade 9). Bennett s steady businesslike disposition and his positive, courteous manner make him our Crusader of the Week. Bennett is attentive, persistent and conscientious in his work. He treats others with care and will help out whenever needed. Bennett participates in many school sports
6 as a dependable, positive teammate. We are fortunate to have Bennett s example of commitment and cheerfulness in our school! FEBRUARY 11th, 2019 Riona Dar (Gr.5): Riona can be counted on to help out with whatever needs to be done. Grade 5 s are expected to set an example for younger students in elementary, and Riona does this consistently. Many teachers have commented on what a wonderful lunch helper she is. Riona is very diligent when it comes to her schoolwork, homework and sports. She gave her all at our soccer games and practices this fall. Riona comes to school each day with a wonderful attitude. Well done! Madeleine Thomas (Grade 12). Madeleine is a responsible, diligent, and caring student! She keeps a positive attitude and can make anyone smile. She strives for excellence in her school work and she was an awesome player on the flag football team. Madeleine s exemplary commitment to her studies and her pleasant, respectful manner make her an excellent Crusader of the Week. FEBRUARY 25th, 2019 Phoebe Fulleros (Gr.6): Phoebe is a respectful and positive young lady who is always willing to study hard in order to achieve the best results. Phoebe is kind and caring and she has a great work ethic. Great job Phoebe! Arwen Carpio (Gr. 8). Arwen s determination, kind and caring ways make her our Crusader of the Week. You can always count on Arwen for help and a cheerful smile. Arwen consistently applies herself in her studies always striving to improve. She is also an active member of our ME to WE group. Arwen s genuine disposition is a great asset to our school!
