Gladiolus represents remembrance, calm, integrity, and infatuation. With gladiolus, the recipient's heart is being "pierced with love." The other August flower is the poppy. Peridot is the August Birthstone that is noted for being very unique and attractive. It is known for being a symbol of protection and durability. The beautiful green and yellow appearance of peridot makes it all the more impressive.
3 E den Villa News V olume 1, I s s u e 1 P a ge 3 Resident of the Month Charlotte Champlin This month s resident was from Florida. She has taken a two year trip around the whole United States and parts of Canada. I am pleased to announce that Charlotte Champlin is our resident of the month. Charlotte was married to Robert Champlin, who she met on a blind date. Robert Champlin worked in the United States Navy, while Charlotte worked in Payroll for 5 of Sears Department Stores. Charlotte has one sister named Vivian who is 10 years older than her. Charlotte and Robert had 4 children: Virgil, Mark, Raymond, and Yvonne. In addition to the two year trip Charlotte and Robert took, they both went on an Alaskan Cruise. Her hobbies are: bingo, sewing, watching television, & bowling. Charlotte s favorite sports are basketball & golf. She likes dogs and cats, and almost always gives treats to them. Charlotte s favorite food is steak. She almost always wears red and purple clothing, which are her favorite colors. Charlotte s favorite song is Green Eyes. She has two short stories she would like to tell. Charlotte won the betting game at the Kentucky Derby, from of the horse named Sonny Halo. Where ever Vivian (Charlotte s sister) went, Charlotte had to go with her. So, Vivian got a new garbage can and stuffed Charlotte in it. Charlotte likes the people & personnel that run Eden Villa. She is surprised to be resident of the month. Charlotte s advice for everybody is to enjoy, be happy, & everything will flow. Charlotte shows us happiness and enjoyment. So, thank you Charlotte for being part of the Eden Villa's Family. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Employee of the Month Liezl Alinsunurin This month s employee was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has traveled to the Philippines, South Korea, New York, and Virginia. I m pleased to announce that Liezl Alinsunurin is our employee of this month. Liezl has two sisters Lorero & Lennie. Before she worked for Eden Villa, Liezl worked for Arcadia Home Health. Her hobbies are Painting, Reading, and Hiking. Liezl likes any food containing noodles. Her short interesting story is that she saved a dog, which was wedged under a fence, while the owner wasn t home. So, Liezl called the police for help and now the dog is safe and happy with its owner. Liezl likes Eden Villa for its residents. She says they all brighten her day. Liezl say that it s a first being employee of the month and she s honored to hold the title true to its word. Liezl s advice for all of us is to keep a positive attitude. She keeps a positive attitude and helps us brighten our day too. So, thank you Liezl for being part of our community.
