4 Ballet Cymru - The Light Princess Stourbridge Town Hall, Market Street, Stourbridge, DY8 1AA Saturday 9 December, 7.30pm A new full length ballet for 2017 with a new score by brilliant Welsh harpist, composer and recording artist Catrin Finch in collaboration with The Riverfront Theatre in Newport, The Light Princess is the lightest and brightest dance event of the year. Using elements of circus and outstanding classical choreography the story draws inspiration from Sleeping Beauty, telling the story of a princess afflicted by a constant weightlessness, unable to get her feet on the ground, until she finds a love that brings her down to earth. Featuring ground breaking video projections and stunningly vibrant costumes The Light Princess will transport you to a world of laughter, beauty and wonder. Costs: Adults 16, Children (under 15) 10, Family of four 44. Before the live performance, there will be a workshop will take place in the main auditorium on the stage between 5pm - 6pm suitable for children aged 7-10 years. This is free for Ballet ticket holders. The workshop will give participants an insight into the way Ballet Cymru work. Through creative ballet exercises, tasters of show material and creative tasks, participants will explore the techniques Ballet Cymru use to create their productions, in a fun and interactive environment. This is a free day and night event. We are opening our doors early at 11am for an exclusive meet exclusive meet and greet with the big man himself! This is the chance for you to bring the little ones, get them into the festive spirit and leave with a little goody to go under the Christmas Tree. Christmas jumpers are welcome, the bigger and more extravagant the better to get the Festive season started!
