START OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 1/12/09Meeting: Meeting convened at 7:00 pm, 48 members, 8 probationary members. The December Minutes and Treasurer s report were approved. Accepting 2008 Probationary Members: All 2008 probationary members were accepted unanimously. Motion To Increase Membership by 50 (as published in the December and January Newsletters): This motion was passed with 1 dissenting vote. Motion To Change the BGC Constitution and Bylaws (as published in the December and January Newsletters): Motion passed unanimously. The Buccaneer Gun Club will now be run by a membership elected Board of Directors. The nominating Committee nominated the following 12 candidates for the initial Board of Directors: 1. Dick Brame 2. Unfinished and Old Business: - Please check the yearly calendar to make sure the shoot dates are correct. New Business: Member Mark Sabransky brought up safety issues on the rifle range, with a suggested solution of posting signs with the proper safety procedures. This suggestion will be carried forward for action from the new Board of Directors. A winter skeet league will be formed for 5 weeks in February. Asking $470. ** Krieghoff K-32 O/U with 30 inch 12 gauge barrels with six Tru-choke screw-in chokes and Simmons ventilated rib. The receiver and barrel serial numbers do not match; however, this gun was recently serviced and the barrels fitted to work on this receiver. The receiver was engraved years ago by Master Craftsman Virgil Graham of Savannah GA with a Spanish bull fighter on one side and Senorita dancing on the other side. 4 MONTHLY SKEET MATCH Twelve shooters came out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to shoot some skeet. Once again there was another epic shootoff in B class, with Jeff DeSantis taking Ron Waidlich to the second station before missing. Come out next month and bust some targets with us. Diversity has reached the pinnacle of the land in reference to the chosen race of our newly elected President Barack Hussein Obama. I mention chosen due to percentage-wise he is more White than Black, however, a precedent in the history of our great nation, none the less. Congratulations are in order for it was a monumental political task... BHO was victorious through multiple groups of the voting public, an amazing consortium indeed. The challenges to the Second Amendment and the firearms community will be great... BHO s Administration coupled with an unfriendly, no, hostile Congress will confront us at every turn. We must be prepared in every way... from the White House to the Court House; there will be a trickle down - trickle up revolving assault. It is imperative to remain, if so before, or to become, if not before, a zealous patriot for the Bill Of Rights. For it is not only the Second Amendment under attack, the First Amendment is being challenged by the so-called Fairness Doctrine... an attempt to silence the conservative voice in the media. Our Fore Fathers are turning in their graves! Conspiracy (shhh!) comes to mind when contemplating the multi-pronged onslaught above the table and below it... it is not only national, but international as well. It touches all branches of government, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. View this for what it is... naivety is not a virtue when your way of life is on the target board. 5 BUCCANEER RANGE REGULATOR GAZETTE Headline: Mrs Dick Holliday Accepts Position With FBI As An Assassin The FBI had an opening for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3 finalists; Two Cowboys and Dick Holidays wife. For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the cowboys to a large wooden door and handed him a gun. "We must know that you will follow your Instructions no matter what the circumstances, Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair, kill her!!" The man said, 'You can't be serious. I could never shoot my wife." The agent said, "Then you're not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home." The second cowboy was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, "I tried, but I can't kill my wife." The agent said, "You don't have what it takes. Take your wife and go home." Finally, it was the Mrs. Holidays's turn. She was given the same instructions to kill her husband, She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping the sweat from her brow, "This gun was loaded with blanks," she said. "I had to beat him to death with the chair." MORAL: Women are crazy. 7 BGC Clothing Order (Sholar Powell): It's that time of the year again, and we're planning to order logo clothing from Queensboro Shirt Company in conjunction with the new member class of There are some changes from the way we have ordered in the past, so please note the following steps to be taken for your order. 1. Deadline for delivery of your order, and a check made out to BGC for the sales amount plus 6.75% NC tax is Monday, April 14 (Club meeting night). 2. Queensboro no longer produces a catalog. All items for sale are shown on their website. 3. Enter their site at: 4. We have a few constraints on this order, so please make sure you cover these issues: 1. Pricing is ONLY GOOD FOR TWO WEEKS.
