START OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the July 12, 2010 Meeting. BGC Club House. BOD Members present: Wayne Aycock, Dick Brame, Jim Caison, Ray Campbell, Mike English, Jeff Fountain, Tom Mix, Sholar Powell, John Scott; Call to Order Ray Campbell 7:00 PM The Minutes from the June meeting and the June Treasurer s report were approved. New Business: Jim Caison was nominated and elected Treasurer. John Scott was nominated and elected Vice President. Sholar Powell brought to the attention of the Board that there were several members that had been on then delinquent skeet account list for more than 3 months. The Board agreed they should be sent a letter notifying them they needed pay or incur a penalty. The Board discussed how to replace a Board member if one resigns. It became clear the current Constitution and Bylaws do not cover that eventuality, thus the Secretary was asked to propose a change to the Constitution that would allow for a new Board member to be selected. The options will be discussed further by the Board and brought before the membership at the November general membership meeting for adoption. Old Business: The construction of new sheds for the current.22 range and chicken shed were discussed. Based on our current cash position, it was decided to start work on them in January, Motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 PM. END OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 7/12/2010 Meeting. MEMBERSHIP NOTICE - Annual Dues/NRA/Range Safety Certification: Effective with the 2011 Dues & Workday Assessment, which will be mailed out with the December 2010 newsletter, each member is required to provide three items back to the Club with that payment. 1. Check for the correct amount of annual dues and any workday assessment stated on the invoice. 2. Proof of current NRA membership; either a photocopy of your membership card or a mailing label from your NRA magazine showing both your NRA ID number and a non-expired expiration date. 3. A signed Range Safety Certification form. Failure to include any of these items will result in your payment being mailed back to you for inclusion of the correct info. In the event your payment is close to January 31, and you are unable to get the correct payment/info in the hands of the Club by January 31, your name will be dropped from Club rolls, and your membership terminated. 2

3 . BGC JULY SKEET MATCH It was another scorcher, and the scores were hot as well. Dove season is around the corner, come out and join us August 8 for another shoot. And bring some friends, the shoot is open to the public. Ray C. was having a bad back day (something to do with moving a couch), but he came and ran the Mover for us. When is summer going to get here? Closest comparison I can think of is having a match on the surface of the sun, and BGC was about that hot Sunday. Wilt Deets has some nice holsters he s making, and brought a few of them for show. Look Wilt up if you re interested in a good concealed carry holster. Lon Layton is healing pretty good, and dropped by to shoot the breeze with us. He expects to be back on the firing line in the not too distant future. We had the usual suspects show for the match, and some nice scores were fired. Roland Russ will be moving up to Expert class next match based on his scores. Come out and shoot Action Pistol all you need is a holster (see Wilt) and ammo. And IDPA will be shot on the third Sunday of August.
