It s hard to believe but September 2014 is upon us. It has been a good fun-filled summer. I hope yours has been as well. Dixie and I just returned from Redmond, OR where we and four other Big Sky Chapter families spent 8 days at the FMCA International Rally. We attended several instructional seminars, oogled over many (about 450) motorhomes on display and went to all three evening entertainment events. We did some sightseeing in the tourist towns of Sisters and Bend, OR. On a bright sunny day we drove to beautiful Crater Lake. What a sight to see. Of course, we always got together around 5:00pm for a social hour of beverages, snacks and conversation. We had the privilege of meeting and getting to know David and Sharon Miller from Belgrade, MT who visited with us several times. They plan to be at the rally in Havre in September. We are hopeful they will decide to be full-time Big Sky Chapter members. As a reminder, our September rally in Havre is right around the corner. 2 Wagon Master Message We had 5 coaches attend the Redmond Rally and participated in early security. The plan was to meet on Thursday and spend the night at the Silver Dollar Bar and from there drive to Boardman Oregon, spend the night and drive into Redmond Saturday arriving by noon. Due to a health emergency Susie & I were unable to meet the group at the Silver Dollar Bar but did manage to catch up with them in Boardman Friday night. On Saturday morning Tom took the lead and we traveled to the fairgrounds in Redmond. We had a great time. There were lots of seminars, new coaches, food and sightseeing. From Redmond, most of us headed to another destination before heading home Rallies: September 18-21, 2014: Hosted by Mike & Dixie Teague in Havre. See this newsletter for flyer. This will also be a business meeting and our officers will be elected for the following 2 year term Rallies: July 2015: Ian & Bonnie Steel - Lewis & Clark Caverns. August 2015: Klaas & Johanna Kloosterhof - either Bozeman or Belgrade There is no word from Bob Hagen regarding Medora but I will follow up with him and it will be in the next newsletter. The bio form is on page 5 in this newsletter. Submit your information for future newsletters. Tim & Mariam Barth Tim & Mariam are new members to our Big Sky group. We enjoyed meeting them at the Lewistown Rally last Sept. They live in White Sulphur Springs, MT and currently own a Pizza Restaurant, Movie Theater and a Concession Trailer for Hamburgers and Brats. They will spend this coming winter in Rockport, TX at the Raintree RV Park. They have enjoyed Rv ing since Tim was born on July 15, 1950 and is originally from Glen Ullin, ND. He was in the Banking field for 18 years. Mariam s birth day was February 22, 1952 and she grew up in Spearfish, SD. Her previous profession was that of a Teacher. They both continue to work in their businesses in White Sulphur Springs. They were married August 20, Dennis & Karen Davis Dennis & Karen call Hamilton, MT their home in the summer. They get away from the snow in the winters by spending time in Yuma, AZ You can enjoy the sunshine with them at E 45th Ln. They have been RV ing since Dennis & Karen are originally from Miles City, MT. Dennis spent his working days with the Airlines in Sales & Marketing. He retired in Karen was in the Medical field and retired in Their special days start with their Anniversary on March 19th then Dennis s Birthday on April 21st and Karen s on September 11th. They have held offices in the Big Sky Chapter in the past Thank You! William (Bill) Walling & Lois Freeman Bill hails from Wyoming Lois came all the way from Minnesota. We are glad you both migrated to Montana! They live in Helena, MT at 620 Faw Rd. in the summer. They enjoy their winters at 9546 E 33rd Place in Yuma, AZ. Bill has been Rv ing for 56 years, yes you read it right that s since 1958! Lois has only been at it for 43 years I guess she is a bit of a novice! Bill was a Steel Worker until retirement in Lois was a Bookkeeper prior to retirement in They have been part time RV ing since Lois has four month on Bill Her Birthday is Jan. 9 and Bill s big day is May 1. Their Anniversary Day is June 25, 2009! Bill and Lois co-hosted our July rally this year in Clinton Thank You!
