1 Pacifica Pride Newsletter 2016 Calendar of Events 4/4 to 4/8 Check Website Calendar for School Activities ents/?id=0&id=2&id=3&id=4&id=5 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Regular Schedule Regular Schedule Late Start Regular Schedule Regular Schedule Sping Recess 4/11 to 4/15 School Resumes Monday, 4/18/16 Congratulations to A-Team for winning the Pacifica March Madness Tournament. For the first time in Pacifica March Madness history the winning team did not include any basketball players, in fact, no varsity basketball players made it to the finals. Even without any basketball players A-Team had fantastic athletes that were good at basketball. Their team chemistry was constructed from countless hours practicing at LA Fitness and it definitely showed with their performance. A-Team was seen as a dark horse contestant. Although talented, only three people had predicted them to be in the finals and only two predicted them to win it all. Despite having doubters they showed up with tenacity and proved that they wanted to win. Every game they were the underdog but still outperformed expectations and beat numerous teams that had several varsity basketball players. Their road to the championship was not easy which made victory even sweeter. Pacifica Pride Week 1

4 . Pacifica Choir is coordinating with Clothes for the Cause on a SPRING CLEANING fundraiser. We are collecting donations of clothing, shoes and textiles (detailed list below) and Mr. Joseph has received approval for pick up at Pacifica on Sunday, April 24 4:00 PM. Items may be in ANY CONDITION (includes torn, stained, etc.), must be clean, dry and placed in a large lawn/garbage bag.
