We spent most of the time bouncing back and forth between Wilderness Lakes and Palm Springs TT parks. Had fun with meeting with other L&C member s lots of fun food and games (what else?). We will stop by Sacramento to attend the service for Chuck Davis (one of our members who passed away in January). Will get home just in time to get ready for the Seaside rally (April 16-20). Be sure to get your RSVP for the Seaside rally to rogerabeau@ms.con or call Roger or Nancy Remember, our Nominating committee for L&C board members are Dot Reed, Ann Holm & Mike May. Anybody interested in running for any office, should contact any member of the Nominating committee. We will hold election for L&C officers at our September 2015 Rally. 1

2 Shirley and Bob Lindahl We appreciate the updates via and also the timely Newsletters. The Lindahl s are enjoying their winter stay in the desert in southern California as Snowbirds even at their 86 and 87 ages coming up in April. We are getting older and slower. Shirley finished all her tests and therapy for vertigo to move the crystals in the inner ear back to where they belong. The vertigo was gone but she still has the problem with balance due to so much anesthesia the last several years during surgeries. Then she fell backwards at 3:00 in the morning in the bathroom and vertigo is back as strong as ever. Now, she gets to start the treatments all over again. Meanwhile the black and blue lower back is finally getting better and we don't know the results of the several spinal x-rays that were taken after the seventh day. She still has a problem with digestion and weight loss. Bob is napping daily in his lounge chair and perhaps working up energy for the coming garden and berry picking when we get home. He is working on pruning some of our citrus trees here in the desert. We do enjoy our rides in the area via the Can Am. We have five of those machines in our park here and sometimes, with the bikers, we have as many as eight machines on a trip from 150 miles to 200 in a day. The winds do seem to cut into our number of trips out, but we try to do at least one trip a week and sometimes two. We plan to head north in late April for the summer. Perhaps we will see some of you at La Conner. Shirley and Bob Jonathan Snyder Another year has come and gone - wow! How fast!! I am still here at Patti's house on Ramrod Key and even though there is snow all over the country, summer is back in this area. The temperatures have been running about 5 degrees above normal, except for the 2 day cool snap. Ken and Mary Jo and Phil and Mary stopped by and we had great visit. It was really good to hear about some of the L & C gang. I am still doing okay, still getting around, although wobbly at times, but better than some. Some of you will remember Casey (Little Casey) now all grown up and currently in France with a friend. She will be going to law school his fall, if she can decide between Cornell and Georgetown. 3 Deb & Phyllis Bolton Along about last Tuesday I had a C T Scan at 9 am in Salem. That is when you drink those hot milkshakes. The C T doesn't take long. By 10:30, at home and have had a nap. A doctor calls from Kaiser and he said he would like me to be at the hospital soon. I asked which one. He says Kaiser Sunnyside in Portland. We made it to the hospital. My idea was they will look; pinch and I will be gone in two hours. Boy was I wrong. They kept me and it will be a week at least before I get to go home. What they have done for me is: poke a hole in my upper back between a couple ribs so they can drain off liquid from my left lung. The lab says it is not cancer but the rest is unknown for a week. Presently they shoot some meds into that area about three times a day. Kind of like a back flush, and then pump it out. Presently I am feeling better than I have in two months. When I see you next, don't mess with the old man because he may feel good enough to kick your butt. A couple weeks ago I was watching the Nascar Auto Racing on a Sunday, also taking a nap or two. I woke up, kind of! They were showing the standings and 40th place it showed Deb Bolton. That was good so went back to sleep. A short time later I woke up and opened both eyes. I looked at the standings and there was in 39th place was Jeb Burton. My question for you and me, how did Daryl and Eddie do that? soon! Deb Bolton Hope to see you all I see in the January 2015 Family Motor Coaching magazine a lot of good reading that our members will most likely pass on. The hi light article of this magazine and most likely is the FMCA Code of Ethics. It can be found on page 150. If everyone would read that and follow some of it, this would be a nice place to be. 4 Scott and Lois Siler "RVTRAVLERS" According to our thermometer outside it say's 93 degrees and maybe we should head out of Dodge before it hits triple didgets. We are slowly heading back to "rain land" after we go to the Pomona FMCA Rally next week. We re having a problem with our CO detector going off in the middle of the night and found the problem to be coming from the refrigerator when it's on propane. So a stop in Fresno to have that fixed. We keep it on electric only meanwhile. We will be in Portland for Easter services with Lois's sister, and then on to Seaside for the Rally. We still have plans for a tour of the USA on the East coast this Year starting June 1st. Oh, the things we will see and do!! See our travels on "Scott and Lois RV TRAVELERS" For those traveling north, watch out for that strange wet stuff called rain. At least it's not that white stuff. HAPPY AND SAFE TRAVELS NATIONAL DIRECTORS REPORT Signs of spring are here and there and that's a signal for us to get ready to enjoy the great outdoors with our RV's. From what I've seen this winter, a lot of snow/rain birds are already enjoying this GREAT life style down South. Many of us are making the reverse migration heading back to the Northwest. I'm looking forward to some old fashion rain. People here don't know what real rain is. I don't have any earth shaking news to give you (reporting from California) from FMCA at the moment, except you will need to get your reservations in for COOS BAY soon. 5 Russ & Kay Watkins It has been another great winter for us in the Southwest this year. We stayed healthy and really enjoyed some good weather and getting together with fellow L&C folks for some nice meals & lots of fun activities. Right after Christmas, we picked up our new RV from a storage area in Phoenix and spent January in Tucson, Casa Grande and Apache Junction, Az. I entered several horseshoe tournaments while in AZ where I had 2 wins and finished 2 nd in 3 others so I had a good time! In February we moved to TT- Palm Springs and then on to Wilderness Lakes, Pio Pico, then back to Wilderness Lakes and Palm Springs for a couple of weeks before starting for home near the end of March. We will be home for a short time before we go on a Panama Canal Cruise for our 50 th Anniversary in mid-april so unfortunately we will miss the Seaside Rally. If you haven t already done so, it s time to pay your 2015 L&C dues. Diane and I are having a great time in the Ocala National Forest, in Florida. One thing went haywire though. AT&T does not have phone service in this area, but Verizon does. Consequently we had to get a new number here to keep in touch with family and friends. So while traveling we decided we would use VERIZON for our home service. Our new number is Anytime we are back in Oregon we will revert to or our AT&T cell phones. Happy trails and we should be coming home to Oregon sometime in September. ROGER & DIANE EPPS 5

6 Becky s Corner I have been busy helping our oldest daughter pack, paint and clean their home in Hammond for a big move to Albany. They are both working down there so we are taking on the brunt of the chores as they are only home on weekends! Next weekend is the last they will come home so we are trying to get everything done before the carpet cleaners come. At least we will get to see them when we have rallies in Albany!
