2 Introduction The MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League is a program designed to introduce your customers to the fun of bowling with friends! At the end of the league, each bowler will receive their very own MillerCoors NFL bowling ball. Ordering instructions for the balls will be covered later in this How To manual. The MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League is a simple, fun league where bowlers will bowl for 8-13 weeks and pay your determined lineage rate per week. At the end of the league, each bowler will receive their very own bowling ball with their local NFL team logos. This program is designed to promote the official beer partner of bowling, while generating revenues for your center. A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FROM BCAW! Your MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League champions will be eligible to participate in the MillerCoors Wisconsin State Singles Tournament the weekend of April 29 & 30, 2017! Thanks to added sponsorship money from MillerCoors, based on 40 entries at the state finals, a prize fund of $3,000 will be offered. All bowlers making it to the state finals event will receive an on the spot cash payout of $20 at check-in. All other cash prizes will be based on a 1:5 ratio, with first place being $450 (again, based on 40 entries). The state finals tournament will be a singles, pins over average type event, benefiting bowlers of all averages and skill! Because the state finals is a singles tournament, your league format will determine how many bowlers will qualify from your league to this special event. Your MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League can be comprised of doubles (2 bowlers), trios (3 bowlers) or quads (4 bowlers). 2

3 Steps for Success Participating centers may order a digital MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League Promotion Kit from Strike Ten Entertainment for $ Each kit should contain the following: 1 Digital Editable Sales Flyer / Registration Form 1 How to Guide including Ball Order Form 1 Sample MillerCoors NFL Ball (To be shipped separately in 12#) Additional Digital assets including graphics and images suitable for reproduction Step 1. Read this manual first. Make sure you know what the opportunities are to maximize this promotion. Step 2. Conduct a staff meeting and review the program. Make sure everyone understands the objectives of the program Build Your Business! Step 3. Do a dry run sales training session for staff members responsible for in-center sales as well as those that will be selling outside the center. Step 4. Decide when and how you will format your league. - How many weeks... minimum of 8... maximum of 13 - How many bowlers per team... doubles... trios... quads - Cost per person? Be sure to include the cost of the bowling ball and the state finals entries for your league s championship team players (2, 3 or 4). Step 5. Customize your digital flyers with the day, date, time and price of your MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League. The basic information your customers will need to know. Decide where and to whom you will distribute your flyers. - Local clubs, bars and restaurants - VFW and American Legion halls - Tattoo Parlors - Barber Shops - City employees, Police and Fire Departments - Local community and sports leaders 3

4 Step 6. Direct Market.Develop and finalize your direct marketing plan. Utilize all of your database assets that you have at your disposal. Databases that you should access are: - Adult league bowlers - Adult Casual Play bowlers Create a MILLERCOORS NFL Ball league template and or a MILLERCOORS NFL Ball league post card that you can send to your adult database inviting them to participate. As a participating center, you were provided digital graphic assets within the marketing kit that you can use to reproduce additional marketing materials. Step 7. PRINT POS Materials; place all your printed signage / materials in prominent locations in your center. Place the Counter Card on the front desk. Assign someone on your staff to be responsible for all POS and to be sure that the flyers/ registration forms are in place and remain stocked in your flyer holders. Step 8. Conduct Weekly Staff Meetings leading up to the start date. Make sure that everyone knows your MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League goals and remind everyone of the tasks and talking points that will lead your center to accomplishing these goals. Step 9. Contact your local MillerCoors distributor for additional bowling or NFL themed POS materials and to discuss promotions and specials that they can provide. Think outside the box to create excitement for your drinking age customers. 4

5 MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League Format The MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League program is structured to take place once per week for a specified number of weeks at a designated time. How you set up your league is up to you. Flexibility is the key for you and your bowlers! Here s a sample 8 week schedule for a MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League program: Note: This is only a suggested schedule. 6 Cost To be determined for 8 weeks The MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League is a tested and successful format. The participation fee for the MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League program should be determined based on your lineage fees, plus the cost of the NFL ball per session and includes the following benefits for each participant: Weeks of bowling fun 3 games of league formatted bowling; double or trios could bowl 4 games/week Green Bay Packers MILLERCOORS NFL Ball Opportunity for cash prizes at the MillerCoors Wisconsin State Singles Tournament Ball cost is $89.95 (including freight to your bowling center) Therefore, spread over 8 weeks, the cost is $11.25 per week per bowler for the ball. Example; Lineage $ Ball $11.25 = $18.00 per bowler per week. Don t forget to calculate the cost of the entries to the state finals tournament. Entries will be $75 per person for each member of the MILLERCOORS NFL Ball League s championship team. Example: A trios league bowling 8 weeks will incur $225 in state entry fees. With 8 teams of trios bowling 8 weeks, the added cost to the weekly bowlers fee will be approximately $2/bowler. So in this example with $6.75 lineage + $11.25 NFL ball + $2 state finals entry = $20.00/week league fee. (NOTE: Weekly fees could be less if your league bowls more than 8 weeks.) Ordering Your MILLERCOORS NFL Balls NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW 4 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY OF BOWLING BALLS The MillerCoors NFL ball cost is $89.95 per ball including freight. Each bowler should be asked to choose the preferred weight for their MillerCoors NFL ball and by week 2 or 3 or if possible, upon registration. This will allow ample time for ordering and delivery on week #8 or the last league session. Due to NFL requirements, participating centers MUST offer ONLY the local NFL team(s) in their state. NOTE: Centers near state borders with MN and IL may purchase balls from their NFL teams. Bowlers will NOT be able to choose any NFL ball of their choice. 7 Continuation Remember to encourage each bowler at the end of the program to join another league within your center. Rolling over the bowler into another league will assure continued participation and create a long term customer. Be prepared and distribute flyers, registration forms and marketing materials near the conclusion of the league for the next program in your center. Be cautious of allowing bowlers under the Wisconsin legal drinking age to participate in this league. They will be receiving a bowling ball advertising an alcoholic beverage. Encourage each bowler to continue the great sport of bowling. 7
