1 Birmingham County & Blackwell Adventure present COUNTY SCOUT SECTION ARCHERY COMPETITION Do you have a steady enough hand to join Robin Hoods gang or the accuracy that made the English victorious at Agincourt? 17 th MAY 2014 Where? Blackwell Adventure Nr. Bromsgrove What to do next? Get in contact with your District ADC(Scouts) or D.S.L and find out how to qualify for your District team. Closing date for the County Competition 31 th March 2014

2 7 th February 2014 Dear ADC(Scouts) and D.S.L s Scout Section - County of Birmingham Archery Competition As agreed we have booked Blackwell Adventure for Saturday 17 th May 2014 between 10:00 to 15:15 hrs for this year s County Scout Section Archery Competition. Each District is invited to enter ONE Team. The Team will have 6 members, all of whom must be of Scout age, 10½ to 14 years. Each team must be accompanied by an adult. Plus each district must provide 1 additional adult/young leader to assist with scoring on the ranges. As always the actual format of the event is dependent on the number of teams entering. Therefore we would be grateful if you would please let us know as soon as possible, and no later than the 31 st March 2014, if you are entering a team. However we plan 3 events including Indoor Re-curve, Outdoor Re-curve and Outdoor Compound. The entry fee will be set at per District which covers all range costs, borrowed equipment and certificates for the winning individuals and teams. A cost breakdown is available on request. This cost is kept to a minimum with the support and sponsorship of Blackwell Adventure. However to do so we need support from the Districts to provide adult leaders on the day. Entry forms (below) should be sent to Nick Fawdry, 19 Osprey Close, Bicester, OXON OX266YH and cheques should be made out to The Scout Association County of Birmingham. Please bring with you to the event a list of names of the Scouts participating in the competition. Each Scout s parents or person with parental responsibility must have completed and signed the One Day Activity form which is attached. If there is no signed form the Scout will not be allowed to shoot. Scouts should arrive in top half uniform and bring suitable waterproofs.
