2 Welcome We extend a warm welcome to all coarse anglers and offer a wide range of lakes and reservoirs throughout Devon and Cornwall in the most beautiful surroundings. We enjoy a high reputation for our quality of fish and fishing, with the added attraction of being open all year round. There s something for everyone - specimen hunters, match anglers and families. Fishing is free to under 12s when accompanied by a full day or concession ticket holder. Day and season permits are available for most of the fisheries. Day permits can be purchased on many sites, online or from local agents as listed. Season permits are available from the South West Lakes Trust Head Office and Summerlands Tackle, in Westward Ho! Season tickets will be issued immediately upon payment, either over the telephone or in person. lease note that proof of eligibility will be required for concessionary tickets. lease remember! The average size of Carp is between 15lb and 20lb. It produces quality bags of Roach to 2lb, Tench to 9lb and Bream to 7lb to both float and pole. erch to over 4lb are also present. Situated in the heart of an area of Special Scientific Interest on Woodbury Common. Carp to 23lb were stocked in NEAR EXMOUTH, DEVON EX9 7AS (4 ACRES) MA REF: LR trenchford (incl. boat bookings) NEAR CHRISTOW, DEVON TQ13 9D (33 ACRES) MA REF: LR Species: ike Fishing times: Open all year, 24hrs a day Boats: Bookable 48hrs in advance (March-October) Day permits: Online and available from Kennick self-service permit hut Season permits: Summerlands, South West Lakes Trust Fishing information: ike to 28lb, re-stocked in 2010 with over 40 pike to 12lb and in 2011 with 15 pike to 10lb. 7 7 Argal (Stithians) NEAR ENRYN, CORNWALL TR11 5E (65 ACRES) MA REF: LR Species: Carp, ike, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, erch, Eels Fishing times: Open all year, 24 hours a day Day permits: Online; self-service on site Season permits: South West Lakes Trust, Summerlands Tackle Fishing information: Argal is a well established coarse fishery stocked with numerous Carp to 38lb and ike well over 20lb, Bream to 15lb, Roach and Rudd. Over 115 Carp stocked in the last 4 years up to 25lb. Lake record 42lb 8oz. Bags well over 100lb of Bream and Roach can be expected. ike Season: 1 October - 29 February 7

8 8 bussow (Stithians) NEAR ST IVES, CORNWALL TR26 3AH (7 ACRES) MA REF: LR Species: Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, erch, Eels Fishing times: Open all year, 24hrs a day Day permits: Online, Newtown Angling, Sandy s Tackle, Cornish Convenience Stores, Ayr Newsagents, West Cornwall Angling, County Angler Season permits: Summerlands, South West Lakes Trust Fishing information: This fishery is conveniently placed close to St Ives and enzance. Mixed fishery with bags exceeding 50lb made up of Rudd, Roach, erch and Bream. Carp to 32lb with a good head of 20lb+ fish which are growing fast and a handful of fish over 30lbs. Re-stocked in 2007 with 50 Carp averaging 4lb and in 2011 with 40 Carp averaging 14lb. A further 20 Carp up to 24lb were stocked in The volunteers have re-done all the swims to a high standard and the road around the lake has been completely resurfaced. 8

10 9 UER TAMAR LAKE (Competitions booking) NEAR BUDE, CORNWALL EX23 9SB (81 ACRES) MA REF: LR Species: Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd, erch and Eels Fishing times: Open all year, 24 hours a day Day permits: Online; self-service on site Season permits: South West Lakes Trust and Summerlands Fishing information: Upper Tamar produces plenty of runs for the Carp angler having been re-stocked with over 300 Carp to 23lbs in the last 2 years. As many as 25 Carp have been landed in a single 24 hour session in 2015! 100lb plus bags of Bream, Rudd and Roach are common. Feeder tactics with worm are productive for Bream up to 10lb. Whip fishing can produce bags well over 50lb. erch to over 5lb caught with average size near 3lb caught on lures or worms and prawns. Carp and match competitions are regularly held by the Trust. Clubs can also book competitions. Refreshments available Easter - September from the Café. Tackle can be transported to swims. Tackle and bait for sale on site. 11 10 LOWER TAMAR LAKE NEAR BUDE, CORNWALL EX23 9SB (35 ACRES) MA REF: SS Species: Carp, Bream, Rudd, Roach, Tench, erch and Eels Fishing times: Open all year, 24 hours a day Day permits: Available from the Upper Tamar Lake permit room. Fishing information: Lower Tamar is one of best specimen waters in the South West and if great fishing and beautiful surroundings is what you re looking for it s definitely the place for you. It s not a deep lake and there are very few areas over 10 foot in depth. There are 15 well-presented swims all with a different perspective of the lake. It s stocked with Carp up to 39lbs and there is a really good head of fish well over 20lbs and growing fast! The average size of Carp is close to 20lbs. There are Bream to 13lb and Roach over 3lb with some erch nudging the 4lb mark. There are also Rudd over 1lb. Bags up to 75lb of Roach have been caught recently and bags up to 100lb of Bream. There are ike to low 20lb, erch to 4lb and Roach to 2lb. Bream go into double figures and Carp to 32lb. New Carp stocked in 2013 up to 20lb. Average size of Carp close to 20lb and growing very fast.
