We are lucky in this area to have a number of rivers in the local area that produce excellent fishing for Salmon, Sea-Trout and Trout in the right conditions. FOXON'S stands on the banks of the River Elwy, the Clwyd is no more than a few hundred yards away and the Dee and the Conwy are only about ½ an hour in the car.

4 LOCAL ANGLING CLUBS VA L E O F C L W Y D A N G L I N G C L U B Approx twenty miles of salmon, sea trout and wild brown trout fishing on the rivers Clwyd, Elwy, Clywedog, Ystrad, Wheeler and Conwy plus a further eight miles of fishing on the River Dee, Tryweryn, Lliw and Llafar, eight miles of double bank fishing on the Afon Ceiriog, a mile of mainly double bank fishing on the Afon Tanat and access to five lake fisheries. The club can also offer coarse fishing opportunities at Llyn Brân on the Hiraethog Moors, Llyn Syberi near Eglwysbach in the Conwy valley and the two Hafod Pools near Gwytherin. All year round fishing, including Autumn grayling and winter pike for just 130 a year + a once-only 20 joining fee. The club also offers concessionary membership for under 18s and day tickets for the fishing it controls on the River Clwyd and various other fisheries. ASAPH ANGLING ASSOCIATION A lovely local club whose membership and waters are going from strength to strength. Offering 8 beats on the Clwyd and 8 beats on the Elwy. Add to that a beat on the lovely little Aled and a 3 acre lake in Prion, and you have water to offer even the most avid of angler. Membership forms and day tickets available from FOXON'S and further info on the various beats from CORWEN FISHING CLUB The Corwen and District Angling Club is the largest single game angling concern on the riverwelsh Dee. They have over 16 miles of river fishing and members enjoy a variety of sport including fly fishing for Salmon, Grayling, Brown Trout or Sea Trout, bait and spinner fishing for Salmon. Water on The Elwy, Clwyd, Conwy, Lledr and The Welsh Dee they also have their own lake plus 4 rods on Llyn Brenig every day.
