A challenging year to be sure, but it looks like we will continue a very nice stretch of weather to close out our year! It is hard to believe that our Las Vegas Pro Am is less than three weeks away- and it looks like we will be enjoying some great desert weather again since our trip date moved up a few weeks in October. Please be reminded that again the WNYPGA Fall Annual Meeting is October 26 th at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls, NY- We will again have a day full of activities starting with breakfast and meeting, elections, education, the WNYPGA Fall Four Ball event at Seneca Hickory Stick, and of course our Sponsor Recognition & Awards banquet that early evening back at Seneca Niagara- please make an effort to come and honor our sponsors, award winners, and our newest Hall of Fame inductee, Kirk Stauffer. Change continues to flourish in our business as we recognize the great efforts of Tom Kendrick, or long-time Employment Consultant, who is retiring. Being able to be a small part of some of the great programs the PGA has to offer, like the HOPE program, PGA Junior League, Drive Chip and Putt, and also my time on the board for the First Tee of WNY

3 Letter from Jeff Mietus, Western New York PGA President Dear Fellow PGA Professionals, I am writing for the last time as President; I have thoroughly enjoyed my time, learned a lot, and have cultivated many friendships. I truly believe that our organization grows stronger every day and that the leadership that is in place currently is outstanding. I would like to personally thank Joe Bertino, Tim Fries, Kirk Stauffer, and Jon Hoecker for their support and guidance throughout these years. This time has been some of the most professionally rewarding of my life. Being able to be a small part of some of the great programs the PGA has to offer, like the HOPE program, PGA Junior League, Drive Chip and Putt, and also my time on the board for the First Tee of WNY has given me more than I could ever give back to the PGA. I reach out to all of you and ask for you to step forward and make a difference in your association. It will not only make you a better golf professional, but will also enrich you personally. I look forward to working with the new board as the honorary President and plan to remain active with the PGA for as long as I can. Having worked side by side with Mike O Connor, I am confident he will be an outstanding leader for our organization I consider him a friend and a great asset to the WNYPGA. The thing I will remember most during my time serving on the board is the quality and character of all the PGA Professionals I have interacted with. I will always be proud to say I am a PGA member. Nominations will still be required and taken from the floor at the WNYPGA Annual Meeting.
