3 Golf League Schedules The nine holes that are designated for league play each week are closed for member play that evening. Only the league will play these nine holes, all other golfers will play the other nine holes. League Front-Holes 2-10 League Back-Holes 1, Hole number one is not to be played as a practice hole on the way to holes 2-10 regardless if there are no players on the first tee. If in doubt, check with the Pro Shop, your cooperation is appreciated. Men s League plays 9 holes on Tuesday. Start times are between 4 pm and 6 pm. Ladies League plays 9 holes on Wednesday. Start times are between 4 pm and 6 pm. M.G.A. plays 18 holes on Thursday. The events are 1 pm shotgun starts. 5 2018Golf Course Rules and Regulations Course Etiquette Pro Shop Hours of Operation Clubhouse Each player must have a set of clubs and a golf bag. There should be no more than 2 bags and 2 riders per golf cart. Golf cart drivers, who rent carts, must be 16 years of age and possess a drivers license Keep all carts 30 feet from the greens and on paths where provided. Avoid soft turf and wet low lying areas. Obey all cart signs. Repair all ball marks, yours and at least one other. Replace divots and use divot mix where provided. Rake bunkers after play and leave rake where originally found. Chipping and pitching are limited to a 30 foot radius around the putting green. 6 2018 Golf Course Rules and Regulations Tee Off Rules Handicaps 2018 Golf Course Rules and Regulations Local Golf Rules Please reserve tee time by: calling the pro shop or ing the pro shop. Players with tee times are assured that their reservation will be honored. Those players who have not reserved tee times will enter the schedule as openings permit. Although it is advised that all players reserve a tee time, failure to do so does not deny those players the opportunity to play. Members who store their clubs are asked to alert pro shop staff so their clubs will be in the staging area when they arrive. 6 USGA Rules Govern All Play All golf clubs shall conform to USGA specifications. There is a 14 club limit, it will be enforced for all tournaments and events. Priority on the Course In the absence of special rules, priority on the course will be in the following order: Foursomes, Threesomes, Twosomes and Singles. Groups of three or less could experience some delay. During high traffic periods, the Pro Shop is authorized to match up groups of three or less to best utilize the course in order to accommodate all golfers. Golf handicap indexes are maintained through the Pro Shop. Posting will begin April 7th and will be updated thirteen times throughout the season until October 1st. To maintain an accurate index, golfers must enter their adjusted score after each round of golf. Proper posting procedures will be posted in the Pro Shop along with the events that constitute tournament score. Each adult golf member will be charged $35 to maintain a USGA handicap index, the non member cost is $45. This fee includes membership in the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association as well as tournament/event programs and permits golfers to participate in club events. Pace of Play The Pennhills Club Golf Course pace of play is approximately four hours. The USGA pace of play rating is 3 hours and 57 minutes of total time. An undelayed round of golf is an important tradition of PHC. Your place on the course is directly behind the group in front of you, not directly ahead of the group behind you. Play without delay. Whenever a match shall for any reason fall more than one clear hole behind players ahead, it is expected to invite the following match to play through. Embedded ball rule is in effect through the green. Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions. Staked and wired trees are immovable obstructions. Only measuring device that is permitted is to find distance. 7 Inclement Weather In the event of inclement weather or frost delays, the order of play will be determined by the PGA Golf Professional or Course Superintendent. The PGA Golf Professional or Course Superintendent reserve the right to suspend or cancel any event or play due to inclement weather or life threatening conditions. Discontinue Play: 1 prolonged note of siren Resumption of Play: 2 short notes of siren Guest Rules All guests must check in at the Pro Shop before play and pay all appropriate fees. All guests must be accompanied by or sponsored by a member in good standing. The sponsoring member will be responsible for all fees or charges incurred by their guests or any damages to PHC property caused by their guest. Members are responsible for advising their guests of PHC policies and dress code. Tournament Handicaps *All players 65 years and older with age and handicap combined equaling or greater then 80 are eligible to play gold tee. Gold tee handicap will be deducted 4 strokes competing against white tee players. *All players 75 years and older are eligible to play the red tee with no deduction of handicap in tournament play.
