With only a few weeks remaining, NOW is the time to share the club s Preview Membership Initiative. We have welcomed over 50 new members into our club family. We need your help in making sure we finish strong over these next few weeks. Please see attached brochure in this and share with friends. Please remember all benefits associated with this membership initiative will conclude on August 31st. New members, be sure to pay your joining fee if you haven t already, to receive your lower initiation and monthly credits for 24 months.

It s always a pleasure to be out front carving and being able to interact with the members.

4 F&B Chef s Cravings: After a long and successful 4 ball weekend, we hope all the members involved had a tasty and fun time. This was my 3rd time doing the 4 ball tournament and I was happy to hear all the positive feedback as far as the service and food goes. It s always a pleasure to be out front carving and being able to interact with the members. I couldn't have done it without the help of my talented kitchen staff and awesome front of house staff as well. On another note, we now have our pasta roller and are very excited about making fresh pasta! Prior to getting the proper equipment, I was using a rolling pin, which works well, but having the actual pasta roller is magic compared to this. We have been using the same King Arthur Enriched flour for pasta which is also what we use for our house made dinner bread, which makes for a better product. I m currently studying up on this and what I can do to make it the best for our members. It s a very fun part of cooking for me. Overall I m really enjoying the evolution of the kitchen here at Fayetteville Country Club. In my opinion this kitchen and our food is far better than what it was when I started here two years ago and prior to that. My staff and I want to keep bringing the best meals we can to the table for our membership. - Chef Levi Zindl

Peter s Ponderings: As my pappy always told me; sometimes in life, stuff happens. Such was evident at the pool July 4 th when we had to close it down due to an accident in the baby pool. Biggest pool day of the year so, of course, right? A word of thanks to the many members who understood our obligation to enact policies set by the Health Department when such things occur. The intermittent rain showers throughout the day posed a threat to the firework show, but the skies cleared long enough for a spectacular display in front of a great crowd. Overall, a great July 4 th weekend. Peeking ahead, August is here, which means you ll see less of the familiar faces that have been serving you this summer as school beckons, but you ll be happy to know we will retain the services of many of the students through the fall. Chef Levi will be adding more local farm-to-table menu items and look for specialty dinners and wine tastings in the upcoming months. Head Up The Hill should be the slogan used by the members that live a few miles from the club. We re giving you great reasons to come up; great food and service, friendly staff, reasonably priced wines (lower than anyone around), fantastic golfing experiences, in an environment surrounded by fellow members who are also enjoying the privileges that only membership can grant. When stuff happens in your life, Head Up the Hill, and for a time, we ll make everything better. - Peter Donovan, Clubhouse Manager

August 31st: FHS Golf Match 3:00pm. 9 Holes, 20 Boys / 10 Girls. Meet Brandon Nichols! Brandon started working at FCC in October of 1998 as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. When the acting Golf Course Superintendent left in April of the next year, he was tabbed to take over the position. Brandon grew up in Bay AR near Jonesboro, working on his family s farm. He started playing golf in high school and developed an interest in the agronomic aspect of the sport. He began working on golf courses while in college and graduated in May of 1998 with a degree in Plant Science from Arkansas State University. Brandon and his wife, Amanda, live in Fayetteville with their three children. Avery will be a senior at FHS this year. Sloane is entering 7 th grade at Woodland Jr. High and Rowan is 4. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor cooking, playing golf and is an avid fan of college sports, especially football.
