MEMBER MEMBER TOURNEY Saturday, April 6 Grab a partner and get ready for a fun day of golf to kick-off the 2019 Season at Drake Creek. This 2-person team event will feature 18 holes of golf, a light lunch, lots of prizes, and a post tourney shootout! Entry forms are available in the golf shop and in this newsletter. All Drake Creek members are encouraged to play. The event will be flighted so everyone will have a chance to win. Get the rust out of your swing. Plan to play. You Are Invited Membership Drive Reception Thursday, March 28 5:00 to 7:00 PM Complimentary Hors d Oeuvres and Cheap Cocktails We are hosting a Membership Drive Reception on Thursday, March 28. Please come and welcome prospective members. We ll be providing complimentary hors d oeuvres and beverages for everyone. Let us know if you re inviting a friend. Or contact us about people who are interested in Drake Creek. We ll make sure they get a personal invitation. And we'll give you a $50 gift card if they join by April 15. Todd will be handing out $50 gift cards to current members that bring a guest to the reception who sign up for membership that night. The Chicken Tour Returns in 2019 The Chicken Tour is set to return in We are holding an organization meeting at The Patio on Tuesday, March 26, at 5:30PM. The Chicken Tour will be run by a member committee similar to couples golf and men's night. Mark your calendar and plan to attend on March 26. Drake Creek Members Get FREE Membership at Fulton Country Club in 2019 We have once again partnered with Fulton Country Club for dual membership privileges. That means every Drake Creek member is also a member at Fulton Country Club. Fulton Country Club is about an hour from Drake Creek. DC members must simply make an advanced tee time and pay a $12 cart fee at Fulton CC Fulton CC has fully transitioned to new Bermuda greens and they're excited for you to check them out. We also are planning another Cup Team match against Fulton this season. I hope you'll take the time to play FCC this year. Maybe a Brew Crew Trip is in order? Enjoy. HOLE ADOPTERS APPRECIATION DINNER Tuesday, March 26, 6:00PM We are hosting a special Hole Adopters Appreciation Dinner for everyone who adopted a hole in 2018 and for anyone interested in adopting a hole in The Dinner is FREE for all hole adopters AND a significant other. We only ask that you call or your reservation so we know how many meals to prepare. Hole Adopters made a big difference the past 2 years. We are thankful for all your help. March 28 Member-Member April 6 Chicken Tour Meeting March 26 Drake Creek Junior Golf Leslie Heath Sponsors 2019 Registration has already begun for the area s only Junior Golf Program that is open to the public, directed by a PGA Staff, and hosted at a true championship golf facility. The program will take place on Wednesday mornings in June and July. We re also proud to announce that Leslie Heath, Drake Creek Member and Realtor, is sponsoring our Junior Program again this year. SPRING AERIFICATION Monday - Tuesday March Holes are scheduled to be open each day. (Weather permitting) TEXAS ROADHOUSE TO AGAIN HOST WKO AT DRAKE CREEK Mark your calendars and get ready to play the sixth annual Texas Roadhouse West Kentucky Open on August 3-4, The West Kentucky Open is open to amateur and professional golfers. Tell your friends to save the date if they want to play in one of the area s finest golf events. We re not taking any more players than we had last year! Applications available online. ADOPT A HOLE PROGRAM Drake Creek management is excited to continue the Adopt-A- Hole program. The idea is to keep the course clean and more presentable at all times. Interested members can adopt a hole for the 2019 golf season. If you adopt a hole, then we d ask you to patrol the hole a couple of times each week picking up trash, broken tees, and other debris left behind by careless golfers. We d also like you to check sandbunkers (for missing or broken rakes), ball washers, signage, and anything else that seems out of place. Most importantly, we d like you to walk the green and repair neglected pitch marks. Interested members should contact the golf shop to get a hole Hole Adopters get first dibs on maintaining the hole they had last year. This is a great way to make a good golf course better. We will proudly display the names of hole adopters in the golf shop. We will also offer each person a small token of our appreciation at the end of the golf season.
