1 Saturday 7 th February Captains Farewell It was a fond farewell to Finn and Mary, a celebration of their year in office and a big thank you for their superb work throughout the year. Both Charlie Smyth & Bobby White were on top form entertaining all in attendance. We would like to congratulate Finn and Mary on having a very successful year and thank them for dedicated efforts to the Club! Friday 27 th February Cancer Research Quiz Night A good crowd were in attendance to support the Cancer Research Quiz Night. Lots of prizes were up for grabs on the night and a lot of money was raised for Cancer Research. We thank our members who contributed to the cause and congratulate the fundraising team for Cancer Research who organised an entertaining evening. Saturday 28 th February Italian Night Aprroximately 130 people packed the clubhouse for our Italian themed evening. Finbarr Keaveney performed songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra and proved a huge hit with all in attendance. Prize-winners from our Criss Cross, Pre-season and winter juvenile competitions were presented with their prizes.

There was superb scoring on the day and our winners were as follows: 1 st B. Murdock 43 pts 2 nd S. Mc Aleenan 43 pts 3 rd G. Mc Guigan 42 pts NESL 3 RD Round at Greenore G.C. On a cold dayin a strong, blustery wind, we came third once again with 155 points from our 4 best cards. Greenore, unsurprisingly, came first with 165 followed closely by Laytown & Bettystown with 163. Headfort made 154, Ardee 152 and an understrength Co. Louth 139. We currently lye 5 th in the standings with our next outing to take place on Monday 9 th March at Baltray (Co. Louth). Notable scores from Greenore were M Reavey & R Martin (41 pts) and F Rushe & R Browning (40 pts).
