1 FALL 2014 Our New Golf Performance Center - Uniquely Enhancing our Member Experience Indian Ridge unveiled a new facility in November 2014, of which very few clubs anywhere can boast our new Indian Ridge Golf Performance Center. The vision of this amazing facility realizes one of the goals in our Strategic Plan completed in April 2014 to continuously improve programs & amenities at Indian Ridge and specifically to implement a first-class golf training program & range facility which would include state-of-the-art golf educational equipment. Designed to integrate perfectly on the northwest side of our double-ended Driving Range, the Performance Center offers an impressive array of capabilities. It is also a significant point of distinction separating Indian Ridge from other great golf clubs in the Valley. The facility provides our Members and their guests with access to the latest technology to improve their skills and derive more enjoyment and satisfaction from the game of golf. Utilizing the Performance Center as the centerpiece, Head Golf Professional Charlie Peterson and his staff of 6 Assistant Professionals have developed a comprehensive Golf Academy with game improvement packages and a-la-cart options - everything from swing evaluation, ball & club speed analysis, club fittings, club distance and gap measurements, to skills testing and improvements, and on-course instruction and fitness training with our Health & Fitness Personal Training Staff. 2 FROM THE PR ESIDENT The Season is upon us. Your IRCC Board and staff could not be more enthusiastic about our upcoming season. We have many exciting activities and events planned. We even a few surprises for you as well. The membership programs we put in place last November continues to provide excellent results. We have significantly increased the number of New Members and we welcome those of you who joined us in the last year. Our plan is to maintain these programs in the upcoming year. We are optimistic that they will continue to provide the type of results we have experienced. Due to the new membership programs, our financial position remains very strong. Our fiscal year closed on a very positive note, and we believe we are well positioned for the future. In the Board s May Planning session, we dedicated a substantial amount of time discussing how we could improve the overall Member experience. As a result, we put into place several programs and action items. Some of these were completed over the summer and others will be implemented during the season. We will be discussing some of the details in this newsletter. Others will be sent out via and written correspondence. To give you a brief summary of what is to come, here are some of the highlights: Added resources to support the Food and Beverage staff to improve your total dining experience Upgraded the Men s card room and locker area Replaced all of the main pool area furniture and enhanced the landscaping Implemented a training program for the Food and Beverage staff Designed and built the IRCC Golf Performance Center on the driving range Acquired new aerobic equipment in the Health and Fitness Center Replaced the IRCC golf cart fleet with custom carts Created a Monday Men s Golf Day Added a new Member Services Manager to help assimilate new Members and introduce them to existing Members and groups Remodeled and enhanced the bathroom facilities at JK s and Arnie s Upgraded the Golf Shop facilities Our intent for all of these enhancements is to continue to improve your experience at the Club. We believe that Indian Ridge has always set a high standard. With these enhancements, it is our goal to take the Club to the next level. 3 Continued from cover story The Performance Center is a tastefully designed and landscaped edifice that mirrors the architecture of the main clubhouse. The lead technology is a FlightScope X2 Launch Monitor utilizing Doppler Radar to access multiple ball flights, club and swing path data, ball spin rates, angle of attack and a myriad of other useful data points to assist our Pro Staff in improving your golf game. The Performance Center uses the V1 Video system to take high-speed, high-definition and slow motion video. The system utilizes on-screen instruction capabilities plus side-by-side comparison to PGA and LPGA golf professionals, and tracks Members game improvement over time. Access to personal lesson archives and video lockers online allows Members to access instructional information from any location. The facility features fitting equipment from TaylorMade, Callaway, Cobra, Ping, Adams and Titleist and provide fittings for most manufacturers. The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting occurred on November 5, 2014 followed by several days of group demonstrations and personal orientations. More demonstration days and orientations will follow during the season. Our New Custom Carts Arrive We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new fleet of Golf Carts! The beautiful golden champagne custom color is an amenity only a very few of the most prestigious Clubs in the Valley provide for their members and guests. This is part of our never-ending vision to continue to improve our Members experience at Indian Ridge. The carts are also representative of our continued positioning of Indian Ridge as the elite Golf Club it is. Our beautifully appointed fleet of 45 carts features logo-embroidered seats, ostrich faux leather trim, and pin striping. 4 Enrichments at The Ridge Relax & Enjoy our New Look at our Beautiful Pool Complex Following last summer s resurfacing of our pool deck, we completed the remodel of our beautiful pool complex with attractive and comfortable pool furniture. New elements include 40 chaise lounges with end tables, matching tables and chairs, bright blue umbrellas for a splash of color & additional shading and updated cabanas for more secluded surroundings. Numerous fences were removed and desert landscaping installed, which opens up views at the pool and significantly adds to the impressive beauty Members and guests enjoy throughout the year. New Service Additions - Go To Golf Pro & Member Services Manager Two new staff additions will be invaluable in our continuous effort to enhance our member experience at Indian Ridge - Go To Golf Pro & Member Services Manager. The focus of the Go To Golf Pro, Mark Meyer, is to ensure that new and current golf Members find games and groups to thoroughly enjoy their Indian Ridge golf membership experience. Sheri Wilson, our Member Services Manager, assists New Members in acclimating to their new lifestyle at Indian Ridge by becoming involved in many of the Member Groups and activities at the Club. New carpet, wall color, tables, chairs, granite countertops, artwork, track & sconce lighting, and benches enhance the areas for the pleasure of all who utilize the facilities. 5 Enhancements at the Health & Fitness Center In the Health & Fitness Center: We have quite a few new pieces of equipment in the gym! We ve upgraded 7 new treadmills, 18 new spin bikes and 4 new ellipticals. Stop by the gym to try out our new machines today. You ll also be glad to know that we have selected all new custom strength training equipment from Life Fitness Hammer Strength to be ready for our season. Our Health & Fitness Center staff is happy to share with you details and photos regarding this sensational new equipment. Sock Hop Other Small Touches Add Up to Significant Enhancements It is a wonderful reality that as we continue to add small touches they add up to significant enhancements. From our new Men s Golf Day, to increased numbers of Twilight Golf, Bocce Ball Events and Twilight Tennis events, we have added a myriad of small touches to enhance your member experience. These include new carpet and a lighter wall color in the Golf Pro Shop, new upgrades of stone, marble, lighting fixtures, framed mirrors and other upgrades to the restrooms at Arnie s and JK s at the turn. New plant arrangements in the Jacuzzi Atriums of the Health & Fitness Center for both men and women add to the comfortable surroundings. New art throughout the Spa at Indian Ridge add to the relaxing atmosphere there. (Remember to schedule your appointment to enjoy a massage or facial as you get into the rhythm of the season! ) The Palmer Patio received four new fire pits and a freshly sealed patio deck, the parking lots and roads that lead to the Club are freshly paved, sealed & striped. We even replaced all the stop signs on the golf course and club property! Each golf tee has new logo tee markers to identify each set of tees and the Pro Shop has new bronze colored tees, ball markers, & divot repair tools. The new scorecards list each new combo tee for a total of 10 tees from which to enjoy the course. This season we will utilize our popular Reservation Request Format each day for making tee times. We installed a new Pickleball Court, resurfaced our 2 Paddle Tennis Courts and converted one area into a small version of a full court basketball court! You can reserve equipment at the Health & Fitness Center when you want to enjoy these facilities. We trust you will enjoy the new touches we ve added for your pleasure. 5

The Travel Club Sets Sail for an Incredible Vacation 31 couples currently have reservations to represent the IRCC Travel Club as they embark on a new adventure. In addition to our offerings and events for all Members, we also focus on events for New Members to welcome them to Indian Ridge and allow them to get to know other Members. Our Young Member Mixers give our under-60 Members a chance to mingle together with their friends and meet new people at Indian Ridge. 6

7 Member Groups at the Ridge Do you have an interest in art, bridge, photography or wine? How about hiking, cycling, Porsches or motorcycling? Join a Member Group! Our Member Groups give Members a chance to connect with each other, share and discuss the hobbies and activities they enjoy. Each group is led by an IRCC Member, and there are many open groups accepting new participants. Indian Ridge On-Site Sales Exceeds Expectations Concluding its first full year in operation, the Indian Ridge On-Site Sales Office exceeded all the Club s expectations. The office had a banner year representing sellers and buyers exclusively at Indian Ridge. Their ability to bring new buyers to Indian Ridge is only matched with how well they represent their listed homes. Broker Mike Bannister noted strong buyer interest during the summer months. The traditional mindset of taking your home off the market during the summer is becoming a thing of the past, he said. In fact, summer lookers are frequently more serious about purchasing a home. Real Estate Throughout the summer, the On-Site office offered virtual tours of all properties listed for sale in Indian Ridge in the air-conditioned comfort of their office in the Clubhouse. Prospective buyers could then decide which listings they wanted to tour live. According to Mike, there is especially strong demand for condo units within Indian Ridge. Remember, every time the On-Site office represents a buyer or seller on a successful sale, the Club benefits financially. It s one way to work with a great agent and keep your Club dues down at the same time. 8 Membership Strategic Membership Committee Programs and Successes Indian Ridge Country Club has been uniquely successful in welcoming an historic number of new Golf and Club Members this past year with the implementation of several innovative membership programs, thanks to the outstanding efforts of the Club s Strategic Membership Committee and the Membership Marketing Committee. Key changes and new programs include: Memberships registered to Indian Ridge addresses by October 1, 2015 Reduced membership categories to Golf and Club Memberships only Offer a limited number of 0% redemption Equity Golf Memberships at $42,500 Addition of limited golf privileges on a trial basis for the Club category of membership Offer Members the option to lease their home to Prospective Members along with allowing access to Club privileges with specific guidelines Continue our Single Season Introduction program to allow a minimum of 3 months access to golf or club amenities on a one-time basis to experience IRCC More details regarding each program can be obtained through the Club s Membership Office by contacting Pat Macdonell at (760) or pat@indianridgecc.com.
