Join Chrissie Majewski of Canyon Craft Co. for an evening of weaving on a wooden loom. In this workshop, we will be exploring a variety of textures, colors and designs of this popular fiber art. With Chrissie as your guide, you will learn the basic stitches to create your own woven wall hanging that will add instant charm to your space. This workshop is designed for beginners, but all skill levels are welcome. Come join fellow members and learn how to macramé! To make reservations, please contact the main office or sign up online. Sunday Feb 3rd Pre-game and commercials start at 3:30pm Game Starts at 4:30pm So the officials are conferring and you may disagree, however, one thing is for sure a great game it will be. Come enjoy super seats, super eats and a super party. Enjoy the game on the biggest HD projection screen you ve seen and don t forget the incredible sound system. There will be a limited menu with emphasis on game day fare. In addition, a ping pong table, activities, board games and a movie will be setup for the kiddos. Please RSVP to help facilitate staffing. The goal is to have the position filled and the new GM in place no later than February 1, Thank you for your continued support of Riverside -Board of Directors The Tee Sign project is almost complete. We've gained many sponsorships, however we still have 8 sponsorships available to the members before we open the opportunity to non-members. The purpose of this is project is to have nice looking, long lasting, durable permanent tee signs for each hole. The signs will be paid for by business sponsors with our members having the first opportunity to be sponsors. The funds generated from the sponsorships will be used to pay for the tee signs and to generate funds that will be specifically designated to the golf course; i.e. cart paths, tees, bunkers, etc. An example being replacing over time the gravel cart paths on the front nine to concrete paths such as we have on the back nine. 3 3 According to the Rules & Regulations that were distributed, below is the Club s Event Cancellation Policy: Reservations for all Club sponsored special events may be canceled without penalty prior to 24 hours before the start of event or such other period established for the event. Members who cancel reservations within that period of the start event, or who fail to appear at the event without canceling their reservations, are subject to a charge of 100% of the cost of the event. Friday Jan 25th 5:30pm 9:00pm Ages 4+ $10/child Parents, it s another drop off event! While you enjoy dinner, your children will be enjoying dinner, a movie on the big screen with bags of popcorn and a night with their buddies. All children 4 and older are welcome. There are 30 spaces available so please make your reservation as soon as possible. Please have the kids bring a sleeping bag/blanket, pillow, a smile and a great attitude. Thursday Feb 7th 5:30pm 7:30pm Ages 4+ $10/child Drop off the kids and enjoy a nice dinner in the or Dining Room while your kids enjoy everything outer space! We ll make our own rocket ships and dress up like aliens. Dinner will be provided for children before we discuss, create and explore different types of aliens, rockets, stars and planets. Reservations are required as space is limited for this event. You can always call the Racket Sports Cabin to reserve a paddle court if you prefer. Bring a guest to play! The cost for a nonmember is $ A non-member may play 3 times per season. Please sign the guest registration book at the desk when you bring in a guest. We are excited to offer a number of Paddle Tennis programs this season. In an effort to align our programming with when the clubhouse is open you will find that a few offerings have moved to allow you to enjoy a nice meal or drink before or after a fun time on the courts. Intermediate Mixed Thursday 6:30pm Advanced Mixed 6:00pm Intermediate Ladies 11:00am We have a wide variety of paddles that are free to use for all Riverside members to demo. If you wish to purchase a new paddle, we can also help you with that! These players are learning to consistently hit forehands, backhands, lobs, volleys, and serves with some ability to play the screens. These players can consistently serve and return serve, and use a variety of pace, spin, and shot selection. They can defend all screens consistently and with confidence, can lob multiple times in succession, and have sound doubles strategy and court positioning. These players are learning the fundamental shots of driving and lobbing from the baseline, volleying and overheads at the net, and have knowledge of the basic positions in doubles. Throughout the season we will send out notices of upcoming events, news, and paddle programs. If you would like to be added to this list, drop me your address and we will keep you up to date. Wednesday 4:00pm Members $15 This clinic is designed for beginners to intermediate players who want to learn the basic shots and fundamentals of platform tennis.

5 5 Mix n Match Members are welcome to come out and play with your fellow members. You will play with different partners in this fun, non elimination format. Come enjoy some food, beverages and win prizes! 5:30pm Cost: - $12 pp/event Member/Guest February 10:00am Members invite a guest and play in a tournament format. Mens, Ladies, & Mixed Divisions. Complimentary food and beverages for all players. Prizes for 1 st and 2 nd Place teams. Cost: $15pp/event Bozeman City Open March 16 & 17 Open to RCC members and nonmembers. Men s, Women s, and Mixed Doubles Divisions. 2 matches guaranteed to all teams. Entry includes player meal, beverages and prizes. Cost: - $25 pp/event Soon, the snow will begin to fall and accumulate. Our ski trail will be set and ready for use as soon as adequate accumulation has been reached. We will be sure to send out updates along the way. Each winter, the following letter is communicated to the membership in various forms regarding the Riverside Country Club cross country ski trail system and the requests we make for the health of the golf course as it pertains to this winter activity. Please pass this information on to your cross country skiing friends and help us in our efforts to maintain and improve your great club. After a significant snow event, the areas to be addressed are prioritized as follows: Club and tennis parking areas Club walks Paddle courts Cross country ski trail system (Depending on the amount of snow, it may take a couple of days to get the trail system groomed and the trail set. Please be patient.) Trash cans and plastic bags will be located around the trail system. Please use them as much as possible. The trail system begins and ends at the north end of the club parking lot. This location is the only entrance and exit to the trail system. Please park your vehicles at the north end of the parking lot to begin your activities. In general, this area provides plenty of parking space and room to load and unload your equipment and to let your dogs run around without getting into traffic in the main areas of the club parking. *PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL.* The trail system has been routed so as to minimize wear and damage to the grass on the golf course. Ultimately, the golf course is the most important, and valuable, outdoor facility of your club. The isolated compaction of the individual skier will damage the grass, especially the low cut grass on the greens, tees, and fairways. This damage is visible in the spring and will take extra care to repair the damage. The existing routing provides miles of good, beautiful skiing while minimizing damage to the golf course.
