1 The Evian Championship, one of the five ladies Grand Slam tournaments, will host the elite of international golf from the 10 th to 13 th of September 2015, closing the Majors season. Within The Evian Championship galaxy, The Evian Championship Juniors Cup will take place on the 15 th and 16 th September, hosting the best international players, aged 14 years and under. Twenty teams of four players, two boys and two girls, representing 20 nations, are expected on the Major course of the Evian Resort Golf Club. We hope to count your team in this selection. 2 GENERAL PROGRAMME Sunday 13 th September Guest arrival. Follow the final round of The Evian Championship on site. Monday 14 th September Tuesday 15 th September Wednesday 16 th September Morning training session at the Academy. (A private Pro-Am will be playing the course in the morning). Lunch at the Club House. Afternoon training session on the course. Opening Ceremony. Dinner at the Club House. Tournament - 1 st round. Lunch at the club house. Dinner at the Club House. 3 TEAMS An ECJC Team is composed of two girls and two boys born in or after 2001 and two accompanying adults (1 coach and 1 captain). They must be nominated by either the Federation or their Union in order to compete. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Entries will be accepted from teams comprising of two girls and two boys born in or after A player must be: An amateur as defined by the Rules of Amateurs Status as approved by R&A Rules Ltd. A citizen of the country he represents. Players with dual citizenship may only represent one country per year. The handicap will not exceed 11.4 strokes for girls and 8.4 strokes for boys under the handicap scheme adopted by the recognized authority controlling golf in their country and must be certified by the Secretary of the Federation. COMPULSORY Each team member MUST provide the following information: - Entry form - Health form - Medical certificate to certify that they are able to play competition golf - Image reproduction rights - Parent release - Team contacts Please note that if the ECJC committee does not receive all the required documents before the 30 th July, the player may risk his participation in the tournament cancelled. REGISTRATION FEE Each team (4 players + 2 accompanying officials) will be charged 450 to cover expenses such as shuttle service, trolleys, practice balls, photo sessions and closing dinner. (See entry forms). ACCOMMODATION All teams will cover their own accommodation costs. We are pleased to announce that preferential rates have been negotiated in two hotels of the Evian Resort Golf Club (The Royal Hotel***** and the Ermitage Hotel****), and offsite Les Terrasses du Lac***, next to the golf course, in Evian les Bains. A further will follow with necessary information. 3

4 OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION All teams will cover their own travelling costs. Lunch at the Club House and shuttle service costs will be provided free of charge for 4 participants and 2 accompanying officials. Practice facilities and green fees are provided by the Evian Resort Golf Club. TRANSFERS Transfers for players and officials (coach and captain) will be available from Sunday 13 th September to Thursday 17 th September. Transfers will be provided between Geneva Airport and the team hotel. Transfers are also provided from the official hotels (The Royal Hotel *****, the Ermitage Hotel**** and Les Terrasses du Lac***) to the golf course during the tournament. Rental cars are also available at the airport should you wish to be more autonomous. Car parks are available at the Evian Resort Golf Club. WELCOME DESK A welcome desk will be set up to assist you on upon your arrival at the Evian Resort Golf Club. It will be situated in the credentials area. The tournament desk will provide: List of tee times General information Official results FIRST AID MEDICAL A first aid medical will be on site. TRAINING SESSION The ECJC will take place once again after The Evian Championship, a training session will take place on Monday 14 th September in the afternoon from 1:30pm onward. A further document will be sent in order for you to be able to book your training session on the golf course. The Academy is open for all players during the tournament. TROLLEYS Trolleys will be available free of charge. 4

5 LOCKER ROOMS Lockers rooms will be available for both players and officials: 1 locker per boy per country 1 locker per girl per country Money and valuables should not be left in lockers. DRESS CODE A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times on the course and in the Club House. It is advisable to have good shoes, sneakers, a cap, a raincoat, a swimsuit, a beach towel, a bag, sun lotion, sunglasses and a warm jumper for cold evenings. Please make sure that you have your own specific uniform representing the colors of your country and that each of the 4 players are wearing the same uniform. SOCIAL EVENTS On arrival, teams are welcome to follow the final round of The Evian Championship on the Sunday 13 th September. After the Opening Ceremony on Monday 14 th September, players and officials are invited to the Welcome Party at the Club House. After the Closing Ceremony on Wednesday 16 th September, players and officials are invited to the Players Party at the Club House. FAMILY PACKAGES Parents and families are welcome during the tournament. This year again, we will propose packages with preferential rates for families, or for anyone who wants to attend the Evian Championship Juniors Cup. This package includes accommodation in the Evian Resort, lunches and dinners at the Club House and transfers from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the golf throughout the competition, from the 13 th to the 17 th September inclusive. (Check-out on Thursday 17 th September). Please let us know if you are interested in receiving these accommodation packages including preferential rates at The Evian Resort hotels. INSURANCE SAEME can propose an insurance policy covering: The children and the accompanying adults The entire program, from arrival in Geneva up until departure from Geneva. Death, disability, medical care (The full contract is available from the SAEME manager). N.B.: These terms are subject to last minute changes in case of events beyond the control of SAEME, for example, flight delays, severe weather conditions etc... 5

7 TOURNAMENT PROGRAMME Arrival at Geneva Airport - Use the Swiss exit for passport control and keep with you your return ticket and address of where you are staying. - An information meeting point will be located on the arrival level of the Geneva airport - Throughout the day, transfers will be organized and provided between Geneva airport and the team hotel or the golf course. Arrival at the Evian Resort Golf Club - During the week, the welcome desk will be available to help you with your logistics.. - Upon your arrival, please go to the desk to register. Upon registration, you will be able to collect your welcome pack, programme for the week, credentials, maps and of course the ECJC chart of good behavior! Accommodation All teams will cover their own accommodation costs. Practice Course A training session will take place on Monday 14 th September in the afternoon due to the fact that a private Pro-Am will be using the golf course in the morning. The Academy is however open for all players during the tournament and in particular the morning session of the Monday. Driving range During The Evian Championship Juniors Cup 2015, the official practice range is situated at the Academy. Lunch at the Club House Sandwiches or buffet lunches will be available at the Club House. Captains meeting at the Club House From 5:00pm until 6:00pm. The captain s will receive a complete list of official documents from The French Golf Federation and the ECJC committee. Opening Ceremony Please make sure that you have your own specific uniform representing the colors of your country and that each of the 4 players are wearing the same uniform. A photographer will be on site to take the official photos of each Federation during the opening ceremony. Dinner at the Club House From 7:00pm to 10:00pm After the ceremony, players and officials are invited to the Welcome party. Transfers Transfers will be provided between the golf course and officials hotels (The Ermitage Hotel****, the Hotel Royal***** and Les Terrasses du Lac***). 8

Prize giving and official closing ceremony Please make sure that you have your own specific uniform representing the colors of your country and that each of the 4 players are wearing the same uniform at the ceremony. Transfers Transfers will be provided between the golf course and official hotels (The Ermitage Hôtel****, Hôtel Royal*****, Les Terrasses du Lac***). 11 RULES AND CONDITIONS OF PLAY Two girls and two boys, born in or after 2001 (a maximum of four players) nominated by each Federation or Union will be eligible to compete. Please find hereafter the sporting criteria for team selection: For European Nations, the first fourteen best-placed teams in the previous European Young Masters Nations Cup. In the case of a team from the first fourteen selected cancelling its participation, the committee will select another team from the European Young Master rankings 6 wild cards. The tournament will be decided by stroke play over 2 rounds of 18 holes each, in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and with the local Rules approved by the Championship Committee. In the event of a tie after 2 rounds (boys and girls categories), the winner will be decided by a sudden death play-off which will take place as soon as the last competitors have completed their final round. Ties for other placings will be decided by count back over the final 18, 9, 6, 3 holes and last hole and then hole by hole. A Nations' Cup will be played within the tournament. The three best gross scores of four will count each day. The total aggregate of the 6 scores over the 2 days will constitute the team s score. In the event of a tie, the lowest total of the 2 non-counting scores will win. If there is a further tie, the best aggregate of the lowest score on each day will win. If there is a further tie, the best aggregate of the second best score will win, etc. A competitor shall not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance his/her performance. In this respect, we would like to draw competitors attention to the prescribed list of drugs issued by every Sport s Council, a copy of which is available on request. Any competitor infringing this Condition, or, if asked to do, refusing to take a test may be disqualified. Players are not allowed to smoke on the course. 12 CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE The Championship Committee reserves the right to alter starting times and amend general conditions if necessary. CAPTAIN Each participating country must appoint a Captain who may give advice to members of the team. Captains must be Amateurs as defined by the rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited. Each team may also appoint a Team Advisor who may give advice to members of the team from either: A. A Team Captain, who must be an amateur golfer in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited; or B. Another person who may or may not be a professional golfer (e.g.: the coach...) If appointed, a Team Advisor must be identified to the Committee prior to the start of the Championship and the position must not be interchanged. Note: The Team Captain, or the coach, can be named as a Team Advisor. Only the Team Advisor may offer advice. Please refer below for caddying permissions. TIME OF STARTING Players shall start at the time agreed by the Committee. However, it is a condition of the Championship that, if the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole to be played. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification. CADDIES There will be no caddies allowed with the exception of the Team advisors. GOLF BALLS The ball the player uses shall be named on the current List of conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A (Rule 5-1/Note and Appendix III). PRACTICE Players competing in The Evian Championship Juniors Cup will not be allowed to practice on the Championship course for a period of 30 days before the first official practice day, unless he or she is a member of the club at which the Championship is being played. 12

13 DRIVER HEADS Any driver the player carries must have a club head, identified by model and loft that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A. (Rule 4-1.a/Note and Appendix II) A list of conforming clubs is published on the R&A website: Penalty for carrying clubs: 2 strokes for each hole with a maximum of 4 strokes. Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of condition will result in disqualification. PRIZES The winner of the tournament in each category shall be for the period of one year: The Evian Championship Juniors Cup winner. The winner in each category and those finishing second and third will receive Mementos. The three best teams in the Nation s Cup will receive Mementos. The Evian Masters Juniors Cup Trophy will remain at The Evian Championship Golf Club.
