2 The Cork GAA Clubs Draw commenced in 1992 It has three main aims: 1. To provide Clubs with finance to fund their ongoing developments both on and off the field. The Draw has been an outstanding success, with the Clubs of the County making over a staggering 19 million euros since the Draw commenced (at no risk to the Clubs as the Cork County Board funds the prizes and admin costs). It also has enabled the Board to fund coaching and youth development in the County. 2. To provide the CLCG Chorcaí with funds for coaching youth development throughout the County 3. Support the capital development of the Pairc Uí Chaoímh. Over 450,000 in prizes 12 Monthly Draws Including 2 Free Draws Each month from November to August there are 5 Divisonal prizes of 150 each Amazing prizes to be won each month! This work is carried out through club and school support programmes, development squads and by a comprehensive coach education programme. The work is underpinned by the 10 full time games development staff working on the ground who are part funded through the Cork GAA Clubs Draw. Workshops run by GDA s for all clubs in Cork at the beginning of the season to up skill coaches on coaching best practice for these age groups BENCHMARKING This Scheme was set up to recognize clubs who have met coaching best practice targets as set out by Rebel Óg Coaching in Clubs can achieve in Bronze, Silver and Gold Categories depending on their level of commitment to the criteria. All clubs in Cork signed up in April to try and meet the criteria at some level and GDA s are working with clubs to ensure they meet criteria.
